The design is everything to me. If a pokémon looks bad it doesn't matter if it knows an attack that turns its opponents inside out, it's still ugly.

Re: Pokemon!
I personally consider Gen I as the real Pokemon, but Gen II and III are still good. I haven't had too much experience with Gen IV but it seems okay. However, it really looks like they've screwed up Gen V (Team PETA, I mean Plasma). Anyway, Charizard is still my favourite starter followed by Infernape and Sceptile (although I actually kinda prefer Grovyle).KalleFlaxx wrote:What, there are people who prefer other generations above the first one?

Re: Pokemon!
The main thing which i think gets everyone is the fact that the first would be considered the "original". Since then, the following is just making more and more pokemon, nothing more, even the story barely changes.videogmer314 wrote:I hate the fact that everyone hates all generations except the first (and occasionally the second), calling them "unoriginal" or saying the new species "look stupid" or "have really stupid names" when they forget two things: one, that the first generation was a test to see what they could really do with the concept, and so not only are the games really bugged, but they don't have as many features as later games (key ones like the move deleter or not having to save scum whenever you find a legendary), and two, if you keep buying a game, the developers are probably going to make a sequel. After the first few, it just got old. As for the rage, that's probably because it's become a cash cow Franchise.

Look, I'm not saying all the other generations suck or anything. Just that I prefer the first one.
I haven't really gotten into the third and those after, but if I did, I'd probably like them too.

Yeah, the nostalgia plays a huge role. I mean, my whole childhood revolved around 1st gen Pokémon.

Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard is definitely my favourite starter of the franchise. By the way is there a Charizard member of the USEP Pokesquad?born2beagator wrote:Charmandernyk45 wrote:born2beagator wrote:Also, the starters in the first gen were all cool, especially charizard.![]()

Ahh...nearing pg 100 of my most successful thread ever.
And I'm not even a member of the poké squad.
I think Blastoise was my favorite from First Gen, still my favorite form all time.

So can I join the USEP Poke-squad? Charizards are said to be competitive so how about the Competitive Charizard or the Strong-willed Charizard. Or for alliteration's sake: the Charming Charizard of the USEP Poke-squad?

On Avatar is there any way around the 27kb limit? Most of the images I want are around 50kb.

I'm afraid not Duruza. But, you could change the file type. It's possible the image is a .png, .bmp, .gnd, and those are all far larger file sizes than .jpg. If that doesn't work, then resize the image in GIMP, Photoshop, or some other image manipulation program.

I usually resize my avatars with GIMP, then save them as .gif files. Haven't failed me so far.

Mewtwo. Mew is awesome too, but definitely a she.Rose of Sithis wrote:My answer depends. Are we talking about Mew here, or Lugia? Might I remind you Mewtwo was able to completely wipe dozens of people's minds of the events that transpired over hours; and then teleport them to where they were earlier in the day.
