Suran - Desele's
Llela quickly knocked back what was left of her eggnog, before nodding. "Waitress!" She called to the Dunmeri girl with an offhanded wave of her vaguely purple-hued hand.

Earthly Delights of House.
Katien looked down, blushing. "I-I'm fine." She mumbled gently.

Re: Tamrielic Adventures: Vol. 2
Well, she certainly did leave me, Alindrel thought to herself. They're strange out here. Even stranger than those at that inn I bumbled into in Riften on the way over here. Asking all those questions... Bleh... Not important, Ali, not important!
The altmer slapped herself in the face a few times, shaking her head vigorously.
Staring into the air for a few seconds, she reached a conclusion, and began waving rather unsubtly at the waitress.
I wonder what's with the name... she began as she waved.

At that moment, Frondus realized that he himself had been confused on Katien's gender, but to keep it simple, he would consider the Breton as he had been, as female. He did think that what the waitress had said was rude though, but kept his thoughts to himself.
"Um..just the special, please.."
He scratched the side of his face, trying to get his mind off of the awkwardness of the situation.

Suran, Temple Exterior
Valentia gasped and nearly dropped her book. "Sorry!" she said, proceeding to walk further into the town. She peered around, looking for any building that seemed to have more people than usual going in-and-out.

"Uhuh. With a pipe or straight from the bottle?" the waitress asked Frondus. She said nothing more to Katien.

"Chances are you will," Gudrun told Per with a sly smile.

Suran - Desele's House of Earthly Delights
As, Llela waited for the waitress to notice her, she forced herself to look at the girl in a slightly-more-than-objective fashion. She was mystified by the ambiguousness of her sexuality, sometimes, and while with Llevana there was a deep, personal connection that made the sexual aspect seem forgone... She supposed the waitress was attractive, too. And she supposed she liked her impertinent smirk, and her eminently vocal snark...
Pat on the back. A genuinely lesbian thought. Her subconscious teased her. One little justification, one little victory.
She widened her scope a tad. There was the Altmer girl in the corner. Llela supposed she was pretty, too, in a disconnected, ethereal kind of way. She didn't need to be good at being a lesbian to sense the bright, wild warning in her green eyes, though.
There was a Breton girl who looked like she was too young to be in the bar, Llela couldn't guess whether she was in her early teens and tall, or late-teens and lat-blooming. Humans and their weird ages.
The boy sitting across from her, probably a Nord, was a little easier to judge. His facial hair was still coming in, like a twisted, scrawny little tree's leaves in Rain's Hand.
She idly wondered if any of them would respond to an offer of adventure. She doubted it.

Aenar walked into the building and looked around. Noticing an empty table, he sat down and waited for the waitress to come by. In the mean time, he examined the people in the room. "This town has nothing going for it, all they have is a tavern-like brothel thing and a few shops. I bet no one in here could even consider themselves to be interesting. he concluded.

Alindrel had ceased waving, her thoughts finding themselves occupied elsewhere. She was still staring pointedly at the waitress, though.

Frondus raised a jagged eyebrow, and he cleared his throat. He was definitely confused, but he wanted to try whatever this was. He reached in his coin purse, brushing against his faded iron war axe in the process, and looked to the surly waitress.
"Bottle, I guess..how many septims will this run me?"

Suran, Desele's - Waitress
The waitress looked at Frondus for a few seconds, one eyebrow raised before saying:
"You really don't know what you're ordering, do you? Tell you what, I'll just get you some Sujamma. Making you a skooma fiend isn't one of my life's goals." She hurried off, as the place had filled up rather quickly.
She came back, put a large bottle and a glass in front of Frondus without a word, and left again, to take Aenar's order.
"So many Nords today." It wasn't evident if that was a negative or a neutral remark. "What'll it be?"

Frondus, a little dazed and definitely confused, lifted the heavy bottle with a thin hand, scrutinizing its glass surface carefully. He shrugged, and took a sip of the Sujamma.
As soon as the liquid met his lips, Frondus' eyes went wide. It had a vile taste and a wicked kick to it, but there was something else. He felt as if his physical power had suddenly multiplied, but found trouble finding the words to describe it. He shook it off, and, interested in his newfound strength, lifted his axe from his belt with little more than his thumb. He was awestruck. The young Nord turned to look for the waitress.
"Hey?! What is this stuff?" He said, trying not to trip over his words.

Valentia looked around as she entered the bar, stepping over to where she wouldn't be in the way of other people entering. She tried to keep a mindset of 'respect the differences between cultures', but she was quickly finding Dunmeri culture to be completely bewildering.
All in the pursuit of knowledge. You don't know much; that's why you're here. Tough it out, old girl. She thought to herself, going over and taking a seat at an empty table. She removed her pack from her arm and placed her book back inside, and retrieved another book from another compartment in the pack; some old tome that she had probably read dozens of times already.

The botanist's brief high was just that, and after it faded away he was glad to have his intelligence return. He sighed, and, hoping to catch up on his research, took a sample of Ash Yarn he had picked up during his short stay in Vvardenfell and placed it on the table. After taking out his probe, he began to examine the plant, prodding and poking the sprig until, out of the corner of his eye, he noticed another Breton come in. They seemed to be more plentiful here.
He smiled, glad to see someone else enjoying scholarly pursuits, and excused himself from his table, making his way over to the bar. Frondus cleared his throat and tried to see what she was reading, craning his neck. Finally, his curiosity overshadowed his shy nature, and he walked over to where she was sitting.
"Excuse me, I don't mean to bother you, but...what are you reading?"

Valentia gasped and nearly dropped her book, not expecting anyone to come by and talk to an 'outlander'. "Oh, umm... this? Just an old tome from the mage's guild... I learned a few spells from it." she replied.
She held the book's cover up, showing the symbol of the illusion school of magic. "I always go back and read through my old spell tomes. Sometimes I find things I might have missed. Would you... like to see?" she asked, desperate to make a friend in the unfamiliar place.

Frondus smiled slightly, and took a seat, interested in her knowledge of Illusion magic. He knew a few spells himself, even if they all had to do with some sort of plant.
"I'd love to see. I know a bit of Illusion magic myself, but they're boring old spells.."
He looked forward, eager to see what her level of knowledge was. After all, a nose in a book is not too common in a Dunmeri bar.

Alindrel, now having completely forgotten about her desire to get the waitress to return, was now staring blatantly around the room, locking on someone for five seconds, then zooming on only to return a short while later. And still she was totally engrossed in her own world.
...I mean, water is not interesting at all... It really is just liquid ice. Nothing you can trap frogs in, either...

The Slave Market
Gaenidil rested against a post over one of the tents in the slave market, he smoked his pipe of dried insects and stared at the slaves. He wasn't interested in making a purchase, he was just curious.

Suran, Silt Strider Dock
Carius hopped off the silt strider onto the dock, and stretched his arms and legs, stiff from travelling on the Strider. He had come started in Raven Rock on Solstheim, and made his way to Vvardenfell, and travelling from city to city before arriving here. He figured to stay here a while and rest, maybe get a job.
House of Earthly Delights
Carius walked into the inn, and over t the counter. "Mazte please. To go."
He paid the bartender, took his booze and left. Not once looking at anyone else in the building, other than the lady he ordered from.

Frondus could see that the book was written for an adept-level illusion mage, mostly about visual illusions to produce horrifying images in the minds of enemies.
