Well, last I checked, Hell hasn't frozen over and pigs don't fly, so Bethesda still has time. It's been a month since Dragonborn was released on the Xbox and they haven't even announced an official release date for PC/PS3. Many sources are speculating that it might not even be released this month.snapple wrote:jesus christ how much longer is this going to take

Re: Dragonborn (DLC) Discussion
Yeah, just like Dawnguard and Hearthfire didn't have an official release date, and were ninja-released 5 days after the exclusivity ended/right after it ended. If it doesn't come out today Friday the 4th, it'll be released next week, after the winter sale ends. Mark my words.perylousdemon wrote:Well, last I checked, Hell hasn't frozen over and pigs don't fly, so Bethesda still has time. Re: Dragonborn (DLC) Discussion
If Bethesda plans to release it early this month it will probably be sometime next week. I just checked Bethesda's blog and one of the staff had posted they were fairly close to finishing Dragonborn for the PC AND Ps3. NO release date, but at least it's happening and for both systems at that.

Re: Dragonborn (DLC) Discussion
What would be cool is if, in the PS3 release of Dragonborn, they include some of the new stuff from other DLCs, such as crossbows, houses in other holds etc. so not really the whole of the other DLCs, just some good parts of them, in order to make up for us not actually getting those DLCs.

The only thing I know is that Amazon says it will be delivered between 31.1 and 2.2, most times they are right about the release dates.

Re: Dragonborn (DLC) Discussion
I really wanted to start a new thread to ask this but it would get locked so:
We've talked a lot about all the good things, but what do you guys think they did wrong in Dragonborn?
My biggest complaints are: first that it is too isolated; I wanted to do more quests that involve travrling back.and forth and dealing with mainland Skyrim as well as Solstheim, and second that they didn't involve the Graybeards at all in the main quest. It would have been great to have to visit High Hrothgar in order to defeat Miraak, did he train with the Graybeads? Do they even know he existed? I believe it would have been better to have to get ancient Nordic and become a master of knowledge of the Thu'um such as the Graybeards.
Also we didn't learn enough about the Dragon cult.

Their only flaw was that there isn't more. The plot of dragonborn could've easily made another game.

Re: Dragonborn (DLC) Discussion
The only problem I have with Dragonborn is that the main quest could have been longer and Miraak could have been more fleshed out. There's so much content there though, I really don't have much complaints. Only Shivering Isles compares to it when it comes to DLC.

Re: Dragonborn (DLC) Discussion
Miraak's time was at least centuries before the Greybeards as a group existed, it would have been impossible for him to have trained with them since he was locked up in Apocrypha, which most likely happened during the Dragon War - he references Hakon, Felldir and Gormlaith requesting his help, but he chose otherwise.DragonoftheNorth wrote:I really wanted to start a new thread to ask this but it would get locked so:

He, by the time we meet him, is aware of the Greybeards, but he would almost certainly class himself above them anyway. As to whether the Greybeards were aware of him, with the possible exception of Jurgen Windcaller and the first Greybeards, is very unlikely.
And yes, our knowledge of the Dragon War and cult remains tantalisingly poor.

I could see Miraak either destroying them.. Or becoming their leader and starting a war against the cult and/or dragons

Re: Dragonborn (DLC) Discussion
Arngeir states he is not aware of any other living Dragonborn. I doubt he knows about Miraak still being alive. He'd have surely read his history but he probably believes him long dead.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

In case this hasn't been linked already...
It's probably not true, but... There is still hope for us poor PC gamers who are still without Dragonborn (now going on five weeks after the Xbox release)!

Re: Dragonborn (DLC) Discussion
I reckon that the PC version is being withheld because they want to release DB on both platforms at the same time. Being a PS3 gamer myself I would disagree with this method, as withholding the PC DB dosent halo anyone.

Re: Dragonborn (DLC) Discussion
I really like that Dragonborn was more content based than story based. Since Dawnguard was basically all story there really needed to be a DLC that delivered mostly content to keep the game fresh.
You can use extra weapons and armour as long as you want, but the story only happens once.

Nope. You can check PC by going to store.steampowered.com and searching or just watching the front page, where it will surely be advertised.

Re: Dragonborn (DLC) Discussion
Bethesda's announced the release dates!
http://www.bethblog.com/2013/01/18/the- ... guard-too/
For PC, Dragonborn will be out Febuary 5th.
For PS3, there's no specific date set yet, but all three DLCs will be out in February (Dragonborn, then Hearthfire second, then Dawnguard), and each one will be 50% off during its launch week.
I'm pretty excited for Dragonborn.
That's decent of them to have them 50% off (at least at the start) for PS3, too; they certainly made them wait long enough.

Re: Dragonborn (DLC) Discussion
February 5th, huh? Ack. I dunno if I can wait that long.
Ah, well. More time to finish From-Blackest-Reaches.
Edit:
And Verina. I forgot about her.
