So sorry, Jeff! I didn't click all the links and instead looked at the labels, so I missed them. :(

But just because, I'll post another one. You'd think I'd hate this one because of the lyrics, but I like the texture of it.

@Jeff: Lol, I remember listening to Warlock and Doro when I was younger, in my heavy metal daze.

Anyway, mine are:

Blood Ceremony

Spiders

Coven

Stone the Crows

You mean, they released only two good albums (Tragic Kingdom, Rock Steady). Their other two sucked.

As for myself, I'll post Republica, Garbage, and the Supremes.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.

Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

Lies. Filthy lies and slander. No Doubt released two albums, No Doubt and Tragic Kingdom. I don't know what this Rock Steady is, but it's obviously made by some other band I never heard of. lalalalala can't hear you.

Phbphhbrwhbppphhhwbbbbrrr whaaaaaa?

Republica was the first album I ever bought, along with No Doubt and Weird Al's Permanent Records. I was obsessed with them for years, and I know every song they put out by heart (even the stuff from the crap live album they did, and that second one that nobody bought). They got me into techno, and Saffron was responsible for my bobcut fetish. In fact, they're the main reason why I asked whether we can include non-rock bands; they've got crossover elements, true, but I wouldn't call them a "rock" band per say. They're a two, three hit wonder tops, so, wow. Can't believe YOU of all people would list the best damn chick band of all time!

Garbage was good too. A bit before my time, but certainly one of the better 90s girl bands to get extensive radio play, right up there with the Cranberries and Sarah McLachlan.

Anyways, if we're allowed to rep bands like Republica, then I'll raise you some...

Portishead
Sneaker Pimps
Morcheeba
Delerium
Mediaevel Baebes
Her Bjorkness
And it's a combo breaker owing to the contemporarinessatude, but OceanLab

ROCK IS DEAD.

I have a soft spot for them because I once fought a duel while "Drop Dead Gorgeous" was playing in the background.

I spent three weeks straight trying to figure out the name of that song. I heard a small snippet on a commercial, so I stayed up watching and taping music videos on MTV until two o'clock in the morning, every night, for three weeks. Finally saw the video for the first, and only, time, a few days before Christmas. It came on just after NIN's Closer. As an added bonus, that spate of marathon video watching also introduced me to TSO.

I feel like Esthero belong on Doros's list.

Edit: <3 <3 <3 to Doros for picking Silence as his Delerium song! I used to annoy the heck out of my freshman year roommate more than a decade ago by singing that song loudly all the time.

My favorite would be Zola Jesus. And it's not a band but Jennifer Charles is my favorite lady woman singer.

I think a fair number of my picks have already been posted. Wouldn't call this band a favourite but still one that I enjoyed quite a bit. Anyone remember Drain STH?
