It does not matter weather or weather I don't listen to all the songs. I don't like the genre and all it's subgenres. I spend my time listening to classical and "new age" types of music. I don't get involved in the genere in any way because I don't like it. i am quite there is not a single screamo song that sounds like a symphony.

The fact is, I listen do different types of music. There can be screamo songs that differ from eachother, but I still don't like them. I completely understand the fact that they can sound different, but it is not good to my ears.

It's not like every metal genre has a "symphonic" subgenre.

No I am not you [&@%!] idiot. I understand that you say I have never heard every single song in the genre. I really don't believe you have either, that is quite a feat. I understand the songs can differ from each other and I understand that you can like some more than others. But in my mind, I just don't like the music in general, so I don't have the ability to like one more than the other. Is it really that difficult of a concept to understand?

What's difficult for me to understand is that you think you hate every song in a genre despite having never listened to a great majority of them.

What's difficult for me to understand is that you think you hate every song in a genre despite having never listened to a great majority of them.

I can't listen to the majority of them because I don't like it. Don't think that you should like a genre first before you start researching it? I'm not going to force myself to like it.

I listen to quite a few songs that I enjoy from genres I don't particularly like. I don't listen to all of them, just the ones I enjoy. Tarja Turunen and Lisa Gerrard for example. I just never was able to get into the screaming genre.

I can understand though, it seems pretty damn ignorant to make a blanket statement like this. For example, there is a lot of metal doesn't like it, Diablo Swing Orchestra comes to mind. There's also metal songs with a full orchestra playing along. Here's some:

For the sake of us, I strongly reccomend that you at least give one of these songs a try. Otherwise, you just appear as blatantly ignorant. I am not trying hostile, I just want to show you that some of your statements are not that valid. Diablo Swing Orchestra, for example, is a great metal band, that doesn't sound like a metal band a lot of the times. It has operatic vocals and basically is a swing band at times.

About tarja, I never said they where screamo. I was simply explaining that there are generes that I don't like very much with songs that I do.

On the videos you posted, yes I enjoyed the orchestral work, but when the electrical guitar and lyrics come in, I just don't want to listen to it. It is not a style I enjoy.
