leroy, best of luck. I know someone with a horrible knee injury (er, disease - I don't recall what it's called, but it's in such a small percent of the population) and has had several surgeries, on top of toting around a knee brace. He'll have to have his knee cap replaced eventually, he was told. Poor fellow isn't even 30 yet.

So, I guess I am getting sick? I went to bed with horrible chest pains and woke up with them; and I came to the office and just felt awful. The VPO at the office claimed I had an anxiety attack and stuffed me in an office for a few moments, until I got up and left (damn cold office, too). I've an awful headache and still have the pains, and they said maybe I am getting a horrible cold or something in my chest. I suppose if I don't feel better soon I will have to find a doctor...but I'm hoping this doesn't ruin my weekend plans. I had wanted to take my little brother to my alma mater's special day so he could see some cool farm animals and have some fun!

I'm sorry to hear that, Avron. I hope you start feeling better. If a song would help, you've got one for such an occasion.

...so is "Chest Pains" the new nick for the BF? This is why you stay at their place, so you can sneek out at night... or kick them out when you are thru with them... this way you don't wake up with Chest Pains. :P

I can stuff them in a box for you... although, I only have small boxes... so I guess I'll have to use the meat grinder to get 'em all the way in.

Poor Ronnie is sick again! This is terrible and cannot be allowed to continue.

Musicman, stop trying to get Avron sick so she'll have to stay home from work.

Our main office building is a big open space with no free room because these people are hoarders, so I was put into an office in the warehouse to "be alone and relax." I kid you not.

Office being the warehouse worker's cafeteria, but I digress.

The dr's don't really know the cause so they don't offer many solutions. I'd say they don't have any at all. I have been prescribed all sorts of pills none of which worked (they had crazy side effects as well). They tried prescribing Imatrex which is $100 per dose. Who can afford that? That is (almost) gangster-style criminal activity in my mind. Oh and it didn't work.

I try to count my blessings though. At least my body physically works and if you see me on a good day (most of the time) you wouldn't know anything is wrong with me.

It's probably one of those things that will be with me for the rest of my life, I've had this for 10 years now. And to scare you all; I was healthy my whole life and this weird condition just hit me suddenly when I was 16. No family history of it, nothing.

Oh, as a wise man once said:
There's gonna be some stuff your gonna see that's gonna make it hard to smile in the future. But through whatever you see, through all the rain and the pain, you gotta keep your sense of humor. You gotta be able to smile through all this [&@%!]. Remember that.

I get the generic imitrex which, if I had to pay for it out of pocket without any insurance at all, would cost me $36 for a pack of 9 50-mg pills (at my neighborhood drugstore obviously). Since it doesn't work for you, that's kind of irrelevant, but still, generics are a good thing.

Getting ready to go out and spend a fun afternoon at the ol' alma mater for a fun day of activities, food, and friends! It's always really weird for me to go back to my university, since you spend such a critical time in your life there, and see how it's changed...but it's refreshing to remember all the good times I had! I hope it'll be fun.

Not taking the jeep out?

I really, really, really, want to go out (specifically to the pool hall) tonight but it looks like it will be a night out at a friends house.

Today I realized that if my mother is a woman, then I'm half female. This worries and disturbs me.

More than half. The Y chromosome is pretty pathetic compared to how much is encoded on the X.

I would say so. As I'm sure you already know, eggs of any species are female by default, and many factors, such as the arrangement of chromosomes (in mammals) or even the temperature of the environment (for reptiles and birds) influence the offspring's masculinity.

Such is why I'm amazed at how our society has become as male-dominant as it has. Female master race.
