King Aidan have met with the imposter and he said that the general does not like others did he not?" jonathon said his hands moving agitated "I say the general was hellbent on taking the power for himself and used the decoy to make it seem I died.. Smart really.."

"But you have no proof." Countered King Leo.

Azeem arrived at the city of the caliphate and began to array his troops around it for a siege. Meanwhile, a herald approached the walls. "Caliphate!" he said. "I speak for Azeem Edin Bashir al Bachrim, son of Edin Bashir al Bachrim! Surrender now, and the venerable Azeem Edin Bashir al Bachrim, son of Edin Bashir al Bahrim, shall show mercy!"

The herald rode back to Azeem, where he sat mounted on a horse. "Here, sir,"

Azeem stared at the note for a moment, and then tossed it aside. "Siege ladders!" Several columns of men ran forwards, covered from attack from above by massive tower shields and bearing between them large wooden ladders. "Charge!"

Simultaneously, the archers arrayed on the sand dune behind them began to fire a sequence of volleys to cover them.

"how about this, my son, before the general poisoned his mind he was nice amiable and fair, and now he is dead worms in his body and that [&@%!] general is dead. My son would know when to surrender and yet he didn't.. That would be proof." the smiling rat said looking at king Aidan smiling sadly.

"I didn't know your son" Said King Leo. "This is not proof. This could be lies."

"ask king Aidan, he knows my son, and he had talked to my imposter." the smiling rat simply countered dismissively.

The men on the walls had succeeded in kicking some ladders down but there were too many. A few were struck by arrows. The troops that scaled the walls were almost immediately slaughtered. After an hour of fighting, Azeem's troops managed to take over the walls. Now, they were fighting inside the very city. After two days of fighting, Azeem and his forces had captured half of the city. They had lost 1000 men. The enemy had lost about 800.

Aidan looked uncomfortable. "Yes... His son was always a happy child. The general corrupted him."

Leo slammed his fist on the table. "I need concrete proof!"

The city was a dense jungle of mud brick houses. They were tall and had stairs leading up to the flat roof. Sandy roads snaked across the city. In the middle was the palace, where the caliph was situated. A small moat surrounded its domed building. A bridge connected it to the rest of the city. The caliph's troops were lined along the perimeter.

No, it'd still dry out, believe me, any water in the desert is being used for things other than filling a moat.

The smiling rat sighed "ask the sister ask the mother then!" he said not impressed with Leo.

"We don't have time!" The table rocked a bit.

"make time then! What do you say is solid evidence?!" the smiling rat said glaring at Leo "this is all the evidence I have put for today."

"King Leo, it is the truth." Said Aidan.

The Byzantium sighed. "Fine. But I will be keeping an eye on you. You are dismissed."

The smiling rat stood up and bowed his head. "very well." he stated he then met with king Aidan and thanked him for helping to stop Leo attack his lands. "I need to rest my lands for a while and reproduce my army numbers." he said sighing.

"I will assist you." Said Aidan, leaving the room.

"I will also need to appoint a new general, know anyone that will be useful?" he asked pondering "I am also sorry for making you and yours to stress.."
