Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell
"Vaba Do'Shurh'do, but don't run down there blindly, if we can find the central gem and destroy it, the machines should die or at the very least become weak," he pointed out.
"Qa'Mhirr enjoys a good zahb, but someone doesn't want us poking around here, let's aim for their heart," he said with intense excitement, his tail swishing; he pocketed the soul gem and went on to collect the other spiders' gems that were mostly intact.

"And what about you, Thoryn?" He asked. "This isn't your quest, but if anyone else stumbles upon this, they might meet a grimmer fate than we."

"We should face this foe on our own terms," Thoryn said finally, "it would be unwise to attempt to shelter in these ruins until we could be certain that whatever lurks within them no longer poses a threat to us. I vote we go further into the ruins to seek out whatever we might find deeper within."

Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell
Done collecting the gems, Qa'Mhirr took the torn cloth off his arm, wrapped them all in it, and put it in the satchel, high on his back.
Next, he began removing one of the spider's outer legs, using his hunting knife to dissemble the parts. Down to just the short tip, he pulled out the queen spider fang and a bottle of the tree resin.
The dagi-raht fashioned the pieces into a makeshift dagger, albeit more of a short sword for his size; he put it down to let the resin dry and hardened.

Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell
Night-Runner was busy tugging at his shield, buried within the body of the Dwemer machine. The question Leiden asked him startled him slighty and he looked up.
"I would be honored to join you." he said. After the fight with the Robots Night-Runners respect for his group of captors had gone up greatly.
"I ask only that I be allowed a sword. I don't not wish to face these creatures again with only my shield." And with that Night-runner gave a mighty tug. The shield became dislodged suddenly and night runner went sprawling backwards into the ash and dirt.

"Hmm..." Llarays thought for a moment. "I could give you my sword, but I fear my bow isn't suited for combat in here."

"Then we're in agreement." Leiden said, but paused. "If we don't come out of this, its been an honor, men. I've only known you for a short while, but it's the first real companionship I've known in years." He drew his sword, and grabbed a torch off the wall. "Now let's take the fight to them." He grinned, and started to walk down the hallway he came from.

Qa'Mhirr tested his new weapon by smacking it against the floor, satisfied, he hung it on his belt and chased after the group

Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell
The group slowly advanced through the ruins. It quickly became clear that Qa'Mhirr was right - the automatons had been employed to do something - mine. Seams of ebony ore ran through the sides, as stronghold gave way to tunnel. But the workers of the mine were curiously absent. Until, finally, they reached a chamber that gave way to more evil than Leiden thought possible.
It was a dark, damp, crowded room, full of cages. Cages full of... anything. Dogs, Spiders, Argonians, Dunmer...
"They're harvesting souls for the gems..." Leiden muttered. "They're not just mining in here. They're farming souls!" He said, with outrage. He kept his voice hushed - he did not know where the automatons were, but he didn't want to attract any attention to the group. "We have to stop this."

"They had to get souls somewhere," Qa'Mhirr shrugged, not reading emotions, "This one wonders who would need some many machines, this looks more like an arms factory than someone's safe house."

"I think it's a refinery..." Leiden muttered. "After all, Morrowind has most of Tamriel's ebony supply... and with nobody to mine it..." He was disgusted at the thought. "We need to end this. Now."

Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell
Night-Runner walked over to one of the cages, slowly, his eyes widening in horror.
"Bel... Bel'ei?" Night-Runner gasped.
The body of an argonian was slumped against the bars, cold and smelly. It had been dead for some time.
"This man was one of my companions." Night-Runner said, pure hatred in his voice. "If he has been captured then... My whole platoon..."
Night-runner began to walk up and down the room muttering to himself. "Die... Die... Somebody is going to die." He said, with cold rage in his voice.

"I don't like the idea of occupying this." Llarays spat, clutching his fists. "But... we could tip some miners or some faction about this place, and make some money. Before that, we destroy this evil place."

Qa'Mhirr crossed his arms, "As fun as it is to watch you guys whip into a frenzy, howabout we focus that at someone."

Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell
"Then let's do this." Leiden said. "There must be some sort of magician behind how this works - and he'll probably be near the centre of the mine. We should look for it." Leiden looked one last time at the emaciated slaves inside the cages, before turning away and running towards what he presumed was the centre chamber.
Finally, when they reached it, they finally realized where the automatons were. Here. There were at least 20 of them. Most of them were small spider like beings, but the rest were like the ones who had wounded him. There was no way they could fight that many. Unless... Leiden looked to the ceiling, and saw a giant gem, radiating energy.
"Can we take out that gem?" He asked, pointing to the roof, staying low, hoping not to be spotted.

Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell
"Why do you think Khajiit kept the gems?" he said with a little pride, "Qa'Mhirr knows...vaguely...how to reverse the resonance to fracture a gem that size."
He paused for a second, "It'll weaken the machines and then this one can widen the fissures...provided someone catches Qa'Mhirr when he's done."

"Provided most of the power is leaked out during the initial fracture, probably near the far wall," Qa'Mhirr joked, "When it does fall, you're not going to want to be near it."

Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell
"We'll need a distraction, though. They're bound to notice. Veriax and I will go and try to take out the wizard - Qa'Mhirr, and Llarays, you work on the crystal. Nightrunner and Thoryn - you're on the distraction." He turned to go, but turned back around. "Guys?" He said, hesitant. "Good luck." He turned, and made his way through the winding corridors around the chamber.
