RIP Garoldy Ander
10 days, level 12

Adept

After whipping up a fresh batch of his most deadly poisions, Garoldy decided to head east from the alchemist shack to Riften. He noticed a large fort in the distance and decided to investigate. It was gated shut, so he decided to check out the small camp site nearby. It was a Nord and his two goons. He claimed to be the owner of the fort, and wanted me to help him take it back. After promising a reward and any items I wanted, I decided to carefully give it a go.

Didn't make it far. After downing a couple bandits, a particularly brutal bandit outlaw closed in on me and began hacking at me with an axe. I drank a few potions and poisoned an arrow, but it was no use.

I'm going to keep playing anyway, although its not going to be the same now that I died. I need to be more liberal with my poison use. When I get tirded of the Wood elf, I'll probably do the same challange with mage.

edit: I just cant keep playing this guy. Its meaningless now that I died once. Going to delete and try a different play style

After being suckered in by jarl balgruuf to investigate a dragon sighting I decided to put the difficulty ontpnexpert to ad some excitement to it. Mathiel then decided to do some mercenary work so I could afford to buy breezehome. He and Lydia made it to the silent moons camp to deal with it's leader, in short he is thanking the deadra that he had Lydia with him.

I'm just afraid she'll be knocked to the ground at some point and I'll accidently scorch her ith a spell. Anyway nowthat I've gotten further then I thought I would I'm being alot more
Cautious then I normally am.

Has this challenge made anyone else change their playstyle or do things you wouldn't normally do, like rent a room at night or eat three meals a day to add to the realism?

In one of his first missions without Kharjo to help him, Ra'Zhar is sneaking into the Thalmor Embassy, armed with his Thalmor Robes and his Katana. We'll see if he'll get those documents, and if he'll ever see Kharjo again.

I do tend to stop at inns and eat while playing this kind of playthrough. It's pretty fun.

EDIT: Ra'Zhar escaped the Embassy with the documents, and entered a cave. Inside there was a Frost troll guarding the exit; Ra'Zhar fought bravely, but was injured. Trying to find a way to escape, Ra'Zhar was nearly cornered until he heard shouting and a blade ripping through troll flesh; Kharjo had come to save the day. The two brothers are now heading back to turn in to Delphine.

(Seriously. Kharjo just popped out of nowhere before I was about to die, and kicked the troll's ass with his axe. It was pretty badass.)

I've made one. He's a simple Redguard peasant armed with a sharpened steel dagger and some clothes. He's escaped Helgen, stayed at Riverwood for a day before telling the Jarl about the danger it's in. He's almost at Markarth.

Ra'Zhar and Kharjo made it back safely to Delphine, and are now taking a break in Riverwood and using the forge to make some equipment and to make a bit of extra money for their quest and their home.

R.I.P Ria of the Companions. Slit her throat to get the Whiterun Gate Key. As a Khajiit, I knew there was no other way I'd get inside.

Wrong thread, man. You're looking for this.

Ra'Zhar and Kharjo found an old man named Esbern for Delphine, and together the four of them marched on the Karthspire. They met massive opposition from the Forsworn, and they would have all died had it not been for an attacking dragon swooping in and carrying away a dangerous hagraven and killing other Forsworn. Kharjo and Delphine flung arrows from their bows while Esbern and Ra'Zhan used their Atronachs and spells to subdue the dragon and the remaining forsworn, and gained access to Skyhaven Temple.

Once inside, Ra'Zhar asked Delphine if more Blades could be recruited. As soon as she had said yes, Kharjo immediately volunteered, swearing to use his life to protect his brother's. Kharjo was initiated into the Blades, and Ra'Zhar found a new katana that suited him perfectly; 'Dragonbane', which was endowed with the power of his signature spell element, lightning. He gifted his old katana to Kharjo as a gift, and together the two brothers set off to gain help from the Greybeards once more.

Damn it, but Llondryn was just killed :( this challenge is much harder than it seems.

Llondryn
24th of Last Seed 4E201
Dark Elf, level 10, Alchemy, Archery, Light Armor, Sneak. Destined for greater things, not to be achieved.
Fell in battle to a scavenger on his way to Markarth.
The assassination contract he was undertaking will forever remain unfulfilled.
Was carrying hide and fur armors, a shrouded hood, a hunting bow, an imperial sword and some gold. All most likely taken by his killer.
I'm on my way to Windhelm to join up with the Stormcloaks, Ulfric has the right of it!

Mathiel decided to heed the greybeards call only to find some answers as to what this power really is and what it means. He made it to the village at the base of the seventhousand steps, clearing out a bandit tower, having a near death experience with a sabre cat and accidentally running into a giant camp. Lydia almost died to save me, many thanks and a new present shortly followed. Now the stairway to heaven waits infrint of them.

I also love stopping at inns/abandoned forts on the side of the road when it starts to get dark, it's a shame about the lack of inns compared to oblivion.

Created a female Orc for the challenge.

Name: Vulsa Stone-Chest.
Warrior Stone.
Training Smithing (until I get the Orcish armour perk) 2 handed and Heavy Armour. Also Archery.

After finishing everything inside Helgen and Riverwood, Vulsa and her new "friend" Faendal decided to help the Valerius' and get the Golden Claw back.

She's level 10 right now. I won't even mess with the MQ. Playing on Adept.
Almost died inside the first bandit mine, 3 bandits came at once and were attacking me while Faendal stood there, doing nothing

I just made a new character, so I will join this.

Name: Scar-Eye
Race: Argonian
Current Level: 6

Backstory: Scar-Eye grew up a criminal. He had to constantly steal and kill to try to keep his family supported in Black Marsh. Eventually all of his thefts and murders caught up with him, as his family was slaughtered while he was forced to watch. Fearing for his life, he fled north. Eventually, he found himself in Skyrim. He wandered the wilds for a long time, and nearly once met his death at the claws of a Saber Cat. He still bears the scars from the attack, and took on his new name because of them. Eventually, he joined a gang of bandits. The bandits and him would wander the lands from Falkreath to Whiterun, pillaging and plundering along the way. Scar-Eye came to realize that it was killing, the thrill of the hunt, that he loved. In the dead of night, he murdered his fellow bandits, and began searching for the Dark Brotherhood. However, he was mistaken for a Stormcloak, captured, and brought to Helgen for execution. He prefers to fight with two identical daggers, but will resort to a bow if necessary.

Current Progress: So far, Scar-Eye has committed some some crimes in Whiterun, such as killing a carriage driver and stealing a horse. He also discovered that he is a Dovahkiin. He then traveled to Windhelm, and helped a little boy dispose of the owner an orphanage. Then, after receiving a mysterious note, he was kidnapped by the Dark Brotherhood. He promptly joined them, and now is preparing to start his first contract.

I'm going to make a charatcer, he is my current character(Optimus Prime)'s brother, Liberty Prime. Liberty Prime is a Breton Fire mage, using only mage robes and Fire based destruction spells (but he will use spells from other schools).

Another character will be a Khajiit, using only his claws for combat and wears heavy armor.

And the another I'm planning to do is a survivalist- He will not go into any major cities and will not use roads. He will use alchemy and use only items found in the wilderness and dungeon diving, will be a Bosmer. I will make him get sleep every day (in a bed somewhere) and eat food, and cannot use any spells, only potions he finds/makes.

Sounds fun, I think I will give this a crack.

Name: J'Karram
Race:Khajiit

J'Karram is a sneak-mage who came to Skyrim to join the college of Winterhold and thieves guild.
he has an odd obsession with rings, before his home in Elsweyr was raided he had an extensive collection of rings made of all sorts of things with many different enchantments.

Scar-Eye began his first Dark Brotherhood contracts today. The closest target was in Ivarstead. Not having been there yet, Scar-Eye traveled to the nearest location he knew: Helgen. Arriving at Helgen, he was not surprised to see the town still in ruins, with no attempts to rebuild. Thinking he could scavenge some supplies from the ruins, he opened the gate and entered the town. He was instantly greeted by a group of bandit marauders. Scar-Eye quickly realized that he was outmatched and outnumbered, turned tail, and sprinted down the road leading east. Walking through the mountain pass road south of the Throat of the World, he encountered a very confused farmer. The farmer said he was walking up to Windhelm to join the stormcloaks, but he was walking west and south, away from Windhelm. Scar-Eye contemplated killing the farmer, but decided against it as he had no valuables. Eventually entering Ivarstead, Scar-Eye found the beggar Narfi, his target. Not wanting to kill him in broad daylight, he hid behind some bushes near the beggars shack and waited. During the night, Narfi got up and walked to the river. Scar-Eye followed quickly and quietly behind. Narfi fell with a cut to the throat and a stab to the back of the neck. However, his screams alerted the guards, who began searching for the source of the yell. Scar-Eye quickly slipped out of town, up the 7,000 steps. The guards eventually gave up their search for the disturbance, and Scar-Eye got off clean.

Current level: 9

Completed the rest of the first set of contracts, and got the horn of Jurgen Windcaller for the greybeards. Currently traveling to Windhelm to complete the first contract received from Astrid. I need better weapons though. I won't be able to keep using steel daggers forever.

Vúlolalún was crossing the border into skyrim when he was caught right in the middle of a trap sprung for some Jarl. He thought with his loyal family history there wouldn't be a problem but apparently the imperials wanted this man so badly everyone caught in this trap was immediately taken into custody. Finding out who this "Ulfric" is on their way to a southern border town called Helgan, Vúlolalún started to worry about his immediate safety. After they arrive he is sentenced to death along with the rebels but narrowly escapes due to a dragon attack. With his newfound freedom he travels to riverwood with one of the rebels and is offered some shelter for the night... "this could be a decent case" he thinks to himself...

Adding a real story to her:
May was special form the day she was born, the second she came in to this world her sprit guide appeared and has been her closers friend and guardian since.
Her spirit guide otherwise known as “Dawn” tends to appear as a wolf spirit to watch over her when she is scared and to follow her when she is alone. May will summon Dawn to follow her evrey where, making for a weird sight when she walks in to towns.

17th of last seed

May was traveling to Skyrim when Dawn started to growl, May stopped in her tracks but it was too late, as chaos broke out and before she knew it she woke up bounded on the road to a town to be killed.

After relieving riverwoods residents of a decent amount of gold and loot, and even doing some honest work, Vúlolalún decides to he's out in search of his brother. Deciding Riften is the best place to start, due to it being the closest city to the southwest Morrowind border, he starts his journey in search of Athis. Along the way he stumbles upon a Nord just outside of a nordic burial crypt who petitions him to help him clear out hits family tomb of a necromancer whom he's been at odds with. Vúlolalún helps the Nord out, being sympathetic due to his own family situation, makes a new ally and sets out for Riften yet again...

Mathiel and Lydia spent a night at the local inn Where they weredissapointed to find out that the town didn't have a local merchant but they did hear an interesting tale about the Nordic borrow next to town.
They decided however the waiting greybeards were more important.
After a good nights sleep they started up the 7000 steps. Once theyreached the top a nd spoke with the graybeards they returned to the village and enter the borrow, hoping to find a wOrd wall now that Mathiel knows how to use and unlock his Powers.
