Re: Does anyone Like Argonanians?
I don't really favor them. I mean, for playability they aren't special in anything other than resisting poison and water breathing.
As for other NPCs I like them. Most of them are nice, funny and helpful.

Re: Does anyone Like Argonanians?
Never had any reason to use them. Water-breathing has not exactly been a hard spell or enchantment to come across, and the gameplay experience was never substantially different for them. Better perks were available for other races. If Bethesda actually succeeds at giving each race a substantially different experience, I might try them out.

I like them. They don't get any especially useful perks, but they look awesome, and they have some pretty interesting lore behind them

Re: Does anyone Like Argonanians?
That might be hard, Hadrian, as Argonians don't really have lips.

I understand Ralock but dude the ability to make water breathing and also the amount of already enchanted water breathing things are like no point in even having them.

what are you trying to say to me . . . I dont even understandHadrian wrote:I understand Ralock but dude the ability to make water breathing and also the amount of already enchanted water breathing things are like no point in even having them.
There is no reason to spend extended periods of time underwater, if there was having to continually take a potion might be annoying.
but really it serves no purpose other than to make the argonians more unique
plus i got my water breathing necklace
but i could have better necklaces if the enchantment was built into my character
but I dont need it, there is no reason ever that I know of for me to spend time underwater
so I dont play an argonian
im dumb

Re: Does anyone Like Argonanians?
Worthwhile submerged locations were definitely a missed opportunity in Oblivion and Morrowind. It would be nice if Skyrim took advantage of all that real estate.

And really, I didn't have much reason to play them. They needed a tailwhip attack.

Re: Does anyone Like Argonanians?
Here's my reasons why:
1. They're quite the unique race, with a mysterious history and interesting culture.
2. Their homeland from what I've read sounds awesome.
3. They look quite appealing in both Morrowind and Oblivion. (My preference is Morrowind with the reverse hinge legs)
4. All the Argonian NPC's in Oblivion are quite well characterised. From the Author Quill-Weave, to Usheeja the Guard for Umbacanno.
5. Disease resistance is pretty nifty.
6. And somehow, Argonian's makes pretty cool treasure hunters.

Re: Does anyone Like Argonanians?
I'm not sure this is an 'Oblivion' thread (personally I think there should be a general TES series forum/section). There is a big split in the UESP community on this issue, and I personally think it's a bit touchy, but as long as it stays clean I don't think it's an issue, so let's keep it friendly
.
But, in answer to the question, I like all the TES races and have nothing against the Argonians (except that invasion thing
). They're not my favourite, but I don't hate them. I think Bethesda did something fairly clever and unique by including them (if you look past the fact that Snowblind also has lizardmen
)

Yeah i like Argonians....why.?....well,. its a pretty interesting race.....you dont see that in other games, its a ES only. You can say that its pretty unique.Bethesda had some good ideas with it......And its to silly to be a racist towards a fantasy character.......

They're good for stomping on with my big orc feet
but seiriously i find they are just sub par. For blade oriented assasins they're all right, but i prefer khajiit or bosmer for that role.

I like their design.
I like their culture.
I like their province.
I like many Argonian NPCs in Oblivion.
I like how they can breathe underwater.
Yeah, I pretty much like everything about them.

Re: Does anyone Like Argonanians?
Love Argonians. Most Argonian NPCs are very likeable and my favourite NPC in Oblivion is an Argonian. I don't play them often, but when I do they're great fun.

Re: Does anyone Like Argonanians?
I do like them as a race, they certainly add some extra colour to the world with their quirky-ness.
But I never played them. Reason is, in Oblivion at least, I always saw them as a tribal culture with their own unique weaponry, armor and other items...stuff that was not available in the vanilla game (I'm on a PS3, so no mods for me.) So to me they just didn't look right in the game when you ran into one in a town or in the wilderness.
