Daedric sanctuary amulet

In Tel Fyr, in the room with the old wizard I found a daedric sanctuary amulet after picking a lock on a chest. I know it is supposed to transport me to this daedric shrine, and i've tried equipping it, but nothing happens. I've looked around and everyone says that when i equip it, it should pop up a message asking if i want to transport to the shrine, but when i drag it on to my character and click out, nothing happens. Anyone have any idea why this is or what i can do to fix it? I'd like to nab me that daedric cresent.

Maybe you need to be in propylon chamber if that is one of the indexes...

most likly u have the wrong amulet

You get the amulet from a quest. Likely that's why it doesn't work.

Nope, I nicked it from him and it works for me. You don't have to involve the quest.
