I'm a level 15 full imperial warrior who has quite a lot of loot in his chests (everything- weapons, armor, food etc.). I will be able to make tons of gold if I sell it, but I want to make the most profit out of it. Any tips? Do I need to do some specific things to get better prices, other than persuading and this stuff?
What is the best way to sell my loot in Oblivion?

Find the best merchant for the price point of the item and get the vendor's attitude(?) to 100 quickly by 1)bribes/speachcraft followed by boosts from selling items or sets of items worth more than 200g/sale. Rinder's Staffs is the best vender for weapons, armor, and clothing worth under 800G-1000G. He only has 600G but all of the other venders give a lower percentage so if you try to sell them a 1000g item they may only give you 550G. The Cheydinhall and Chorrol mages guilds (and one other-Bravil maybe) give (almost) the best return for Welkynd and Varla stones, potions, gemstones, wolf skins etc. Sindarion in Skingrad will give better prices on potions etc, but he is out of the way and his top price is lower (important when you are trying to sell big lots to keep your merchantile skill points low, but bad if you are trying to raist points by selling one at a time). For items over 1000G, I think that Peacemaker's in Anvil might have teh best return, but I usually just store all of my loot in the Market district and sell the higher priced stuff to Varnardo in the Best Defence because I can take a bunch of feather potions to carry more from my sacks to the store and not have to worry about fast travel.

I actually remember an old trick but it only works if you have all the DLC.The trick is to sell everything to Nilphas Omellian since he has 2000 Gold. With this you can get lots of money very quickly especially if once you get even higher levels and sell all enchanted loot you don't need and the Armor from the dungeon bosses to Nilphas with special preference given to Bandit Lairs especially once they start being decked out in Glass Armor.Since Glass Armor is light yet worth a lot of gold.Back on the 360 version I had used this trick to be able to buy all the houses and upgrades in the game including the DLC Houses.

This has some good advice:
http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Mercantile
If you're planning on a long game, it might be worth your while to become a Master in Mercantile. You can either grind this skill to 100 or simply pay the Mercantile Trainers to raise your skill 5 levels for each level you raise your character from now on. The merchants will have 500 more gold than if you weren't a master. You can also invest in a store and then the merchant has another +500 for your use. This costs money, but you eventually get it back in better prices for the rest of your game. Good luck!
