Yep. A trillion lives were just destroyed because Beta insulted me. Pray that I don't start using supernukes that generate blackholes. Pray that i do not do that.

Sounds like the newest game instalment for the holodeck
*Le Nukes Da Super* Honestly, I do not understand why you humans enjoy simulated violence so much. Is the real thing not enough?

Re: The S.S. UESP
Dov has apparently been diving into our holodeck servers <_< I'd advice against entering that chamber anytime soon (Or at least till security can remove his link to the terminal)

Uh, if he's using our holodeck servers to pretend to kill me, should I be worried? No? Okay, then.

No, aside from mild inconveniences, everything is still manageable, even in the neutral systems

To save having to go back and read: can I ask, what happened to Mars, why is she now some kind of waveform in appliances? And why is Cassandra crawling around the ship in a state of...strangeness?

Re: The S.S. UESP
1) She attempted to 'dive into the system' and somehow got lost >_> and by lost, I mean she was disconnected by her body and is now a rogue consciousness floating through digital space.
Lil Mars is now under isolation, while I figure out a way to 'fix' her mistake <_<
2) You answered your own question there. Strangeness

Re: The S.S. UESP
You're calling me strange? How cruel. It's not my fault that it hurts to do anything that requires concentration. It's not my fault that I've got so many thoughts going on in my head... Hold up, why do I have so many thoughts going on in my head?

1) Is Mars' body ok? Has it been safely put in status?
2) I think I know what may have happened to Cass. I remember strangeness and air vents a while ago. One word: Muffins.

Re: The S.S. UESP
Yes, Mar's body is stable and currently in cryosleep to keep it preserved. It's essentially An' empty husk, a brain-dead body without a soul.. But luckily, I have a long history within the Research and Laboratory scenes
I know a multitude of ways to 'fix' her(Even if she didn't make it any easier for anybody in the first place) The real trouble here is, if I have the right equipment to do any of those :/ I can go through all the knish concerns I have over this, but really.. I'm just tired of Lil Mars swimming through my systems(You have no idea how tempted I am to just engage my firewalls. Well, part of me is still tempted)

No! Don't engage the firewalls! Mars is the Chief Boss and Co-Pilot, we need her.
As for the Ensign, let me know if I can help. You want me to go and drag her out of that vent? A could send in a ferret if need be.

I was under the impression that I'd already been quarantined and in the process of being made into a proper A.I.?

Wish I could say I was surprised.

Say, shouldn't these vents be more secured? Three words: potential bioterrorist threat. One more word: necromorphs.

Re: The S.S. UESP
The vents and maintenance shafts are your domain(Well, they aren't really, but I'm willing to make an exception) If you want her out of there, then go do it
Also, no, given your current status and limited equipment, I cannot 'make' you into a proper A.I., your not even close to an A.I by any standard.
You're self aware, sure, but you're a rouge consciousness, independent from your neural network. As I said >_> you're like a ghost without it's shell. If anything, you're closer to a self aware frame/robot or an android than you are as an actual construct
*Stops cycling through code*
I mean, I could 'try' and replicate what little of your sentience and mock-coding into a basic A.I. Construct. But that would likely lead to the original's termination via deconstruction and the new entity would be of it's own identity(Also, because I know some people place value in this, the new Mars would lack a soul/ghost to call their own)
*Looks keenly at Mars while in the isolated circuit*
It would save me alot of trouble, and be much more achievable. Plus, who's to say a data wouldn't prove valuable. We already have a spare A.I core with a 3-Way Interface and an empty index chamber..
*Turns back to cycling through code*
But I'm not always fond of the easier way (Not that any of you would of approved of it anyways) No, if anything, reversing this predicament is possible, but a less familiar possible than your likely accustomed to
Any hall, vent, shaft, or room can be sealed.. Depressurized, incinerated, irradiated, ect ect ect.
Trust me, this ship is built for such contingencies

The vents and all access routes/chambers are equip with blast shields and quarantine viableBaloth-Kul wrote:-floats into air vents, looks at Cass-

The option in which I don't die? Yeah, I'll take that one, thanks.
Though if I were dead I wouldn't have to put up with that condescending attitude anymore.

Re: The S.S. UESP
How is the Chief Morale Officer able to 'float' into an air vent? You can't just be a ghost because your avatar is one.
And the whole Mars thing?
Really, folks, youre making it harder to keep up the pretense that the S.S. UESP is a normal, respectable, professional intergalactic exploration vessel. We'll end up losing our funding and being ordered back to Earth. And I'm not going back to fixing those talking vending machines in New London.

One cool thing about being a circuit ghost is how I can directly communicate with any of the crew's comms at will.
