Lol. Okay, maybe the hint isn't as obvious as I thought.

are the "two pieces of rocky flesh" masser and secunda? probably not, though. cant think of a connection between the moons and the hall of virtues of war

It's not the hall; someone guessed that already.
The two pieces of rocky flesh are Masser and Secunda!

I'm going to say that it's in Morrowind.Velothi wrote:A 'dead' House of a 'dead' man, fighting against Ash and Dust, Modernization and Empire - yet From Ash to Ash is still Dust to Dust.

Houses could be the great houses.
There is only two former great houses and I'm pretty sure the leader of House Hlaalu is still alive.
So i'm going to say Dagoth Ur. I know terrible choice, but that's all I can think of.

There are plenty of Former Great Houses, and I think you mean House Dagoth.

Re: Lore Trivia!
Br3admax I was basing my wording of former great houses on this http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Great_Houses. Sorry if I caused confusion. Velothi asked "who am I" that's why I said Dagoth ur.Br3admax wrote:There are plenty of Former Great Houses, and I think you mean House Dagoth.

In the interest of reviving the thread, is it OK if I sidle in here and post an easy one? ._.
Salts and bones, leaves of green,
Many thus in death convene-
Blood and fire and something sweet,
Our mighty Northern lord to meet.

Re: Lore Trivia!
Ysgramor and the Eye of Magnus? Saarthal?
Salt and bones are found in tombs. Leaves of green refer to the leaf-like designs on the Eye of Magnus.
Lots of dead people are in Ysgramor's tomb and Saarthal.
Lots of blood and fire but also the taste of sweet blood when you're turned into a werewolf.
Ysgramor is from Atmora which is to the north.

Re: Lore Trivia!
That is a very well reasoned answer but it is not it.
Err well, when I said it was easy I meant in the sense that it is very specific. Everything is quite literal

Is it anything to do with Castle Volkihar?

Re: Lore Trivia!
Nope, nothing to do with Castle Volkihar.
Now that I look at it, I think I may have put my foot in my mouth with that last line. I had the distinct impression, along with apparently several other people, that the "lord" in question was a Nord, but looking more thoroughly I can't find any primary sources that directly state his race.
In amends, I shall make the riddle easier!
Salts and bones, leaves of green,
Many thus in death convene-
Blood and fire and something sweet,
Our mighty fallen lord to meet.

No, not Miraak!
Another hint: it has nothing to do with the game Skyrim.
