I've never reached 100 in smithing. Currently working on that task.

Heh. I've never even owned Hjerim. Principally because I've never finished the Civil War or been a Stormcloak.Archer wrote:Used Hjerim as a characters main home.
Ooh, good one. My "retired" Breton is level 65 and so is my almost-retired (two quests to go) Argonian.philfredobob wrote:I have never stopped using a character before level 60
I'm amazed at people whose characters never get above level 30 (I've known a few). I play on Adept difficulty and refuse to do most radiant quests (I never talk to innkeepers any more) because they're boring - and I'm still level 30 before I know it. My character who's hardly done anything is level 35.
Obviously, we're all different and play the game in different ways - but I, personally, find the start of the game so immensely tedious that I only start a new character if I need to. (e.g. because none of my existing characters would do one of the questlines...)

Not according to the wiki. "Hjerim is purchasable having sided with either The Empire or Stormcloaks. Once allied with the Stormcloaks, the Fort Neugrad mission must be completed before Jorleif will make the house available for sale. [...] If the Imperial Legion is chosen as an ally, then the defeat of the Stormcloaks is required before it is available to buy."VirtualWeasel wrote:IIRC, the house is purchasable after Blood on the Ice is finished.baratron wrote:Heh. That's why I've never owned it. Never been a Stormcloak, and haven't got that far through the Imperial side of the Civil War yet.

You're not missing anything! Most underwhelming event I ever did in a TES game. They might as well have handed me a platter of sweetrolls and patted my cheek as they cooed, "Awwwh, thanks! Now go away!"sinister wrote:I have never destroyed the Dark Brotherhood, and I never will.

I just remembered something. I have never completed the Civil War stormcloak side. Civil War never appealed to me after doing the imp side of it.

It is dark and that's the best part.
I've never been a Stormcloak with any of my characters. Probably because I like Elves and Imperials and something to me feels very off about one of them helping Ulfric. But eh, that's just me.

I'll tell you what, Dohva, you play a Stormcloak, and I'll play an Imperial.

Ah, man. Tough one. I've started a Nord character before and the way she was treated so much better than my other characters nearly sickened me, so I deleted her. Maybe I'll do an Orc Stormcloak since I've never played an Orc either.

Orcs are fun, go for it. Still, I should have proven to you that even an elf can make a good Stormcloak.

Re: I have never...
I've only been a Stormcloak once, on my very first character, and a Dunmer too. Had his head full of great ideas about defending religious freedom (having been raised on stories about the Nerevarine, Mehra Milo and the Dissident Priests) and thought he'd be able to improve his compatriots' situation in Windhelm by showing Ulfric that "an elf can be born with the soul of a Nord", yadda yadda. Ended up pretty disillusioned, I'm afraid.
More OT, I've never ever used the Ebony Blade after acquiring it, mostly because my characters rarely use two-handed weapons (and the one that did was a lawful good type of guy; not that he ever got that far).

Well, I've never gotten the Oblivion Walker achievement. Working on that with Andari. I've also never gotten any of the magic schools to 100, as far as I can recall.

Re: I have never...
I have never played as a Nord, done the Companions line past the first dungeon, gathered all the stones of Barenziah, owned Hjerim, joined either the Stormcloaks or Imperials, completed the main quest, become Thane of all the holds, or gotten even half of the Daedric artifacts. There's a ton of stuff I've never done even after what like 900 hours of playing.
