I've got a question regarding it.

I know the Julan and Jasmine follower mods are heavily tied to the main quest, and you don't get as much out of them if you don't do the main quest (or only pick them up halfway through). Is this true for Constance too?

I have not played all the way through with Constance but in my current game I got Moon-and-Star ring from Azura and Constance has got no comments yet regarding the main quest. So, I'd wager no, the main quest is not touched much if at all.

Come to think of this must be the case with Emma's companion mods, as chatty as Vilja in Oblivion was, she rarely got anything to say about the main quest.
