What folder should i be looking for etc... i have never modded before or even had a PC game other than morrowind so any help would be greatly appreciated....

All Steam-games are installed by default in C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common. Open the folder called "Morrowind" in there, then open the folder called "Data Files". That's where you should place the plugins (.esp or.esm) and other files from the mods, unless the mod author states otherwise. When you launch the game, click on "Data Files" in the launcher and make sure your mod is ticked before you play the game. You could also use a mod manager like Nexus Mod Manager or Wrye Mash, to install/uninstall mods easier.
