whats the best dagger ( not including marune's) that i can use for assassinations?

You progressivly get better and better weapons(daggers included) as you progress in level.

enchant a daedric dagger, is what i would do. i don't really know of strong daggers, like there are long swords (umbra, ebony blade, goldbrand, etc.)

Best looking dagger: a steel one.
Quickest kill: an enchanted daedric one, like mthomp081 said.

Probably the one from the DB questline. But I don't use a lot of daggers. I have seen Glass and Daedric ones which would be the best you can get, but you have to enchant them yourself.

Yeah if you enchant a dagger with loads of destruction and weakness magic you can get a one-hit kill every time. I'd reccomend getting Azura's Star, or a good ammount of Black soul gems and adding soul trap to the enchantment as well.

Why not just look it up in the wiki, instead of making others do it for you?

I've been wondering about this, too.

mehrune's razor is up there. It has a chance of just straight up killing them. Course mine got reset in the drawer in the archmage room, along with the helm of oreyn bearclaw, a fe other things, and the ring of iron fists. Loosing the ring cost me my chance a total damage immunity. But that's probably a good thing. I could have been immune to damage so many levels ago if I had realized it, how much fun would that have been?
