Here mine: I actually like oblivion gates. Yes they are repetitive, but certain things make me like them more. The hellscape setting really was great to me as a kid, and still hits home now. The names of areas of the realm (Blood Feast, Coridors of Dark Salvation etc.) are cool, and help me believe that Dremora actually inhabit and live there (The Paradise Dramora discussing your battle at Kvatch with different place names - I think Ganona or Gramora(?) - also helped)

I really like the Oblivion levels, but I really hate the grind of closing all those gates.

That's not a hot take. Seems completely rational to me.

Oblivion gates are one of the most impressive sights in the game. You haven't even entered the gate, and the skies and lightning have already turned red. It was an incredible experience seeing it for the first time in Kvatch, and it was even more amazing when the skies in Imperial City turned blood red.

Mine is that the leveling system is well designed to be integrated with the main quest storyline, and that people who randomly goof around deserve what leveling does to them.

BTW, the game only requires you to close three gates (Kvatch, Bruma, and the Great Gate), and the Great Gate is a run through gate.

My hot take is that the Conversation mini-game is great-- I really like it!

Honestly? Same. As much as I would prefer a more dynamic interactive mini-game like branching dialogue or gestural prompts.. oblivion really is better with the mini-game it has than skyrim without
