Oblivion/Shivering Isles hangs when I try to enter Sheo's Palace. Whether I try to fast travel or just enter via a door, The screen hangs and I have to use CTRL-ALT-DEL to close up. The first time I used an old SAve and replayed the problem area successfully. Now even that won't work. Any suggestions?

So is this the throne room or just the Sheo's Palace cell?
Also are there any mods that you're running that effect Sheo's palace or NPC's in the Palace - both of these could easily be the reason for the freezing.
Besides a mod conflict, you could just be facing a corrupted file. Does this happen on other files or only of this file?

No Mods. It started to be a problem for New Sheoh Palace. It is now also occurring when I try to enter the Palace Grounds as aI trail Wide-Eye. I was able to enter the New Sheoh Palace using a console command (??player.coc) but I can't find such a code for Palace grounds.

Well I'd venture to guess it's a corrupted file, this should not be happening. Have you updated your game completely? Do you run the unofficial oblivion and shivering isle patches, I'd recommend both?


I'd also recommend try to enter these locations in another character, meaning it'd just be a corrupted file.
Sadly if all else fails you can always reinstall the game, which will fix everything!

Thanks! No, I haven't installed the unofficial patches. I have been using the locations you list for player.coc movements. This make the game more tedious as I am going into other far too often.
