They just want to have it more polished, apparently, from what Pete Hines said. (He also said that he was playing it at that moment.)

This PR approach makes me shudder. I thought they had learned their lesson considering how well ZOS communicate with their players, but this kind of erratic and unexplained behaviour really hearkens back to the mess that was Skyrim DLC. Hopefully the radio silence is only a marketing stunt and Beth will step up their game upon release, because I can't see a f2p Hearthstone competitor surviving long without community engagement.
