Hey, quick question. Is there any resource for obtaining the different faction ID's? I've tried scouring UESP and Google but I'm not able to find anything. Specifically, I'm looking for the Imperial Legion faction ID. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

The Imperial Legion faction ID is simply "Imperial Legion" (without the quote marks).

Here's a list of all the faction IDs in the game (including Tribunal and Bloodmoon; taken from the CS). These are the IDs themselves; the faction they are associated with should be self-explanatory  :

Hidden:
Ashlanders
Blades
Camonna Tong
Census and Excise
Clan Aundae
Clan Berne
Clan Quarra
Dark Brotherhood
East Empire Company
Fighters Guild
Hands of Almalexia
Hlaalu
Imperial Cult
Imperial Knights
Imperial Legion
Mages Guild
Morag Tong
Nerevarine
Redoran
Royal Guard
Sixth House
Skaal
Talos Cult
Telvanni
Temple
Thieves Guild
Twin Lamps

Well thanks! I appreciate the reply, and thats exactly what I was looking for. BUt, as it turns out, I may have been looking for the wrong thing all along, maybe? I'm not sure. This whole topic exists because I'm looking for a way to use the console to clear the expelled state from the Imperial Legion. All my searching has concluded that all I need to do is type in "PCClearExpelled Imperial Legion", yet every time I do I get the error "Expression Error Unable to find faction "Imperial" in script SysWindow CompileAndRun"

Ive tried the same command with single-name factions, such as 'Redoran' and 'Hlaalu' and received no such error, just the blue text meaning it's been activated (I assume).

Could the issue be with any mods I'm running? I'm sorry to pester you fine folks, but I'm genuinely curious about whats causing this issue, aside from the actual gameplay.

Thanks!

I think it might be the spaces, because computer console commands (not necessarily in The Elder Scrolls games) generally tend to look upon spaces as delimiters that separate different command line parameters from each other. Maybe try putting "Imperial Legion" in quotes to see if that indicates that it's one parameter rather than two?

Yes, it's the space in the ID that's causing the issue. Any ID with space(s) in it needs to be enclosed in quotes (double, i.e. " , the single ' won't work) when used in console commands, scripts, dialogue results, etc. So, in your case, you need to type:

PCClearExpelled "Imperial Legion"

with the quote marks as shown in order for the command to work.

There's a good overview of console commands on this wiki page; in particular, the section on Whitespace, Punctuation, and Capitalization goes over the rules of how console commands need to be formatted, what works, and what doesn't.

And you're not pestering us, Scuttlebutt, helping people is what we're here for. Welcome to the forum!
