I've always loved Balmora... It's one of the major towns, so it has guilds and everything... And I like the style of buildings more than Ald'Rhun (Which I think are a little too utilitarian) and Sadrith Mora (because I simply don't like the Telvanni.) Vivec doesn't have buildings, which I always disliked. Yes, the Cantons are kinda cool, but I like buildings. Balmora is just exotic enough to be interesting, while being familiar enough to be comfortable. Plus, Hlaalu rules. :D

I completely totally agree! I LOVE BALMORA!!!! :D

Balmora. There's lots of stuff there but it isn't as confusing to get around in as Vivec. Vivec confuses me!

Ebonheart, i love the scenery and how huge looking it is. all the guards walking around, gives off that classic castle feeling. and that dragon statue is just awesome looking! Vivec's also a great place to explore, so many cantons to look around inside and the temple there is so big with the steps.

It's funny you should say that, as the full lore name of the Ebonheart on Vvardenfell is Castle Ebonheart .

Aw. Nobody voted for Seyda Neen.

I'm gonna have to vote for Seyda Neen instead of Balmora, mostly because I like damp little squats (although I would really like some more quests) and because Seyda Neen gets no love sometimes.

Well it’s true I would have thought at least somebody had fell in love with the quaint little seaside town of Seyda Neen (ergo its inclusion in the poll). I think that it was actually a nice little intro to Vvardenfell, rather than being plunged into the deep end in a large city, or being placed in the middle of nowhere like Daggerfall.

Calderia!

there are some nice things here that i just cnt do without. the mage guild gives me cheap transport to many of the games hubs. some times i have to take a layover with a siltstrider but meh.

then there is home sweet home. calderia mansion. i plan on "buying" this place after i get far enough in the house Hlaalu quests.

next up is the world famous vender Creeper. not only is his house a great place to make coin. its upper balcony is a nice snipeing spot when u just cnt stand all those imperial guards anymore (i usualy save just before going on a killing spree for stress relief).

I know someone's going to rant about not putting blah town or bleh town, but whatever.

What is your favorite settlement/city/town? Personally, I prefer Balmora, and second is Seyda Neen. Balmora has a lot of services, plus it's a Hlaalu city.

Tel Vos is awesome, decaying castle with a Dwemer museum and a dungeon.

I'm also partial to the fishing villages of Dagon Fel, Gnaar Mok, and Hla Oad.

I personally like Ald'ruhn and Vivec. Ald'ruhn because it is one of the main examples of Morriwnd's awesome buildings. Skarr is really cool.

Vivec is just so huge and you really feel like you are in a city.

I really like Balmora as well. It's a small city and has most of the services I need. Plus my house is there

And it's Hlaalu city!

Vivec id say. I remember the first time I went there, I wondered how the people built it, never thought about that with any other city.

I always ended up living in Balmora, mostly because of convenience but the city got to me after a while and now I can't imagine living elsewhere. Image

I would have to say Vivec.

Just walking around Vivec made my eyes turn to stars. The city itself made me feel part of the world; of Tamriel, and really made a huge impression on me.
Though I must agree Balmora is the most favoured because of how many events occur in the city like the main quests, fighters guild and mages guild.

Ebonheart is my favorite cause it just gives off that really medieval feel, the only thing I dont like about it is that there are no actual houses that you ca live in, so I typically just use the inn. But my favorite city in which I can have a house is either Maar Gaan, or Balmora.

Wow... 16 votes for Balmora and the closest competitor has 3 votes! Balmora is actually a really great city in terms of convenience and environment, so I wouldn't be surprised.

Probably Balmora, it's easy to navigate, not a maze like Vivec >.>

Yes. The only reason I don't like Vivec is because it's hard to navigate and I can't find anything in that darned city.

How on all of Nerevar's ashes are there only two votes for the glorious city of Ald'ruhn? What a shame. I always liked living in the shadow of Red Mountain, in the middle of the Ashlands, right in the thick of the muck and the mire. I really don't think there is anything more fitting to the Dunmer, and to the mighty and noble House Redoran, than spending a life choking on hot, thick ash. It certainly does wonders for endurance, after all.

And the whole Under-Skar concept is pretty exceptional, in my opinion. There was just something about that place that I really loved.
