Hi,
I started new character after few years, I bought Amulet Of Recall in Caldera. I want to enchant my own Amulet/Ring/Staff/anything Of Mark, because my character is warrior and he can't cast mark spell directly. I have enchanting at 15, intelligence at 30 and mysticism at 5. But I can't find any reasonably priced item that I can use for it, because they havent got enough capacity. And even if I found some trousers that had, enchanting fails and gem is destroyed.
Any tips, how to do it?
Thanks

Yeah but it cost about 26k of gold, is there any way to boost enchanting?

As mentioned on the linked page, even with maxed Intelligence and Enchant the failure rate for self-enchanting items is still fairly significant. You need to boost Intelligence into the thousands to have a decent chance (the success rate reaches 100% with Intelligence at 4900). The
Alchemy page has a section on creating super-potions to boost your intelligence to those levels, if that's the road you want to go down.

If you have been playing for a few years, you may know that an alchemist in Balmora sells Mark potions. That would be your cheapest solution.
Or you could start with a cheap Mortar and Pestal and buy only Marshmerrow and Wickwheat (one coin each) to make Restore Health potions. Sell the potions and buy more Marshmerrow and Wickwheat. Even with a low starting skill, you'll eventually be making more profit than you'll know how to spend.
Finally, the only item you should ever pay to have enchanted is one to Fortify Enchant Skill. You can purchase the Fortify Skill spell in Tribunal's Mournhold. Use it to have an Exquisite Ring or Ebony Shield enchanted to cast on use with four separate "Fortify Enchant Skill 100 levels for 2 seconds" plus whatever is left in the item. IIRC, the ring gets you a total of +440 levels to your Enchant skill. You can then use the item and enchant almost anything, even Constant Effect spells. To enchant a Daedric Tower Shield with CE, I made a second ring and used them together. Good luck!

I just tried the fortify enchanting on an exquisite ring and could only get 4 boosts of 100. That took me to 100 of the 120 capacity of the ring. Adding a fifth to use up the rest takes me to 140 enchanting cost before I even add any boost. The Wiki page on useful enchantments claims you can go to 500 fortify at much lower cost.
Has something changed to increase enchanting point cost? Is there anything user controlled that effects enchanting point cost?
