Don't know if this has been covered before but I was just reading up on the wiki about the different armor styles and I've noticed that the shield designs at the bottom of the following page: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Shields for Yew and up can't be made in-game they only stop at their hickory material design, same for weapons.

Is there a reason i can't craft them in that design or, failing that, they were taken out of the game cause I swear I saw people running around with shields like those at launch.

They must have changed them, which is a pity, since they are gorgeous!

The Altmer and Nord style shields can be grabbed at any level from several locations (check merchant stalls or the undaunted enclaves). The Dunmer style is worn by Ordinators in places like Mournhold. King Emeric uses the Breton style one. As to the others, I don't know if those models are used at all in the game anymore.
