Name: Darren Eagle (formerly James Smith)

Origin of powers: (Mech, Meta(Natural), Magic) Uh not sure, it his natural skill. Meta.
Appearance(Normal):He also has a very distinctive burn on his chest.
Appearance(In uniform): His legs are protected by black combat trouser that have pads on the knees, lower legs and upper legs. On his body is a bulky Kevlar chest piece(black again) and finally his mask.
Back story: James Smith served in the army as a demolitions expert until an IED he was disarming blew up, severely burning his chest and he was left for dead. He was found a day later barely alive and captured. After two months of brutal torture and the gradual learning of hand to hand combat from another mysterious prisoner, he escaped and killed his torturer with own machete but was shocked to find that the prisoner who had helped him was gone. He managed then to stowaway on board a ship to Gotham.
Upon arrival, he was shocked to find how much his life had changed. His family had an empty casket funeral and his Fiancée had moved on. Seeing no reason to return to his old life he put up his skills for hire and changed his name to Darren Eagle. Over the last year he has become a Merc with a considerable reputation having being hired by The Penguin to guard a weapon shipment, the Joker to cause anarchy, Poison Ivy to help raid a genetics lab experimenting, the League of Shadows when they needed a less subtle approach and even underhandedly by the GCPD when they needed certain crime bosses to disappear when they couldn't touch them.
Abilities: (Put in all kinds here relating to guns tech and other things.) An expert with explosives, he can disarm or make use of most. Considerable hand to hand and melee weapon skill courtesy of the mysterious prisoner and an above average marksman.
Equipment: (What your character has on them.) A couple of bricks of C4, a few shaped explosive charges, an assault rifle that fires in bursts, a desert eagle pistol and the same machete from his capture.

Name: Jason White
Alias: The Black Phantom
Origin of powers: (Mech, Meta(Natural), Magic) Magic
Appearance(Normal): a well built young man with dirty blonde hair and pale green eyes with a haunted grace about his features.
Appearance(In uniform): a black Kevlar suit with a hood that doesn't allow his features to be shown save for a pair of glowing white eyes
Back story: Jason is dead, or he should be. He was in a car accident many years ago that killed his long time girlfriend and his parents. He died on the operating table and was declared dead, but it didn't last. He woke up in his coffin two years later still alive and well of a sort. His skin was cold and he drew no breath, he was only as solid as he wishes to be and could hear all kinds of voices and see people that weren't there. He wasn't alive or dead but something between.
Abilities: (Put in all kinds here relating to guns tech and other things.)spirit physiology, intangibility, possession, spirit sight, the works
Weaknesses: sun vulnerability, in his ghost form it can dispel him for up to a week if he gets too much exposure and he will wake up in his coffin. Holy symbol vulnerability, he cannot enter hallowed ground save to return to his grave.

Name: Cassie Ellers
Alias: The Justice knight.The Justicar
Origin of powers: (Mech, Meta(Natural), Magic) Meta
Appearance(Normal): Cassie Ellers is a 5'3ft tall woman with bright red hair and a lot of freckles. She has green eyes and a round face. Her nose, chin and mouth are small. The chin is round. She is white and is of average build. she is a causal dresser. Burns around her wrists and ankles. They resemble rope burns.
Appearance(In uniform): She wears a skin tight leather black outfit under a white trenchcoat. And a pair of sunglasses. A white riot helmet with the symbols of Justice on them with a thin layer of metal over black cloth, that covers up her lower face to try and protect her id. Her shoes are black and are combat ones.
Back story:

Cassie Ellers was born in the city of Gotham. She got a job at a shop at the age of 18. She discovered she had the power to move things with her very mind after someone tried to mug her. This surprised her and she was curious what she could do with it. So she spent a week experimenting with the power and knew she could use it to try to help people. She spent 3 weeks practising her powers and tried to stop any petty crimes she saw. At first, she failed to stop any but one day, she got lucky. She spotted a thief stealing a car and used Telekinesis to prevent him from getting away.

Afterwards, she decided to help the good people of Gotham and elected to become a vigilante. She intended on studying all of the martial arts but focused on Karate first. She attended a local gym that taught it and studied it for many years. She realised she would require a lot of cash to help her to defend the people of gotham and started to play the lottery. She had no luck with it untill she was 25 years old. She won $4million and knew it would last her a while. Provided she spent it on the stuff she needed.

She abandoned her plans for learning all of the martial arts and just stuck to karate. She also learned how to use a sword and called herself the Justicar. She delievered a harsh form of Justice and was often brutal.

She gained the attention of the GCPD and the Dark Knight during the first few months of her being the Justicar. Batman tracked her down and defeated her easily then handed her over to the GCPD. Her id was revealed to them and she was sentenced to life in Blackgate.

After Batman's disappearance, a prison break occured at the facility and she left it. She went to the GCPD after realising the state of the city and offered her help. She was arrested and put in a cell at the station. However, Comissioner Gordon knew he could use her to try and push back the tide. He asked her to help the cops and she said yes. So she took her the mantle of the Justicar and went to pursue the so called supervillains.

The first supervillain she encountered was posion ivy and she was killed by her. The last thing she remembered before her death, was Ivy spraying something into her mouth.

She dumped the body onto the streets of gotham and the GCPD discovered her. They wanted to know what killed her and was shocked when she came back to life. The Justicar was scared and was almost killed again before Gordon intervened. He didn't know what to do and just told her to help the city in any way she can.





Abilities: (Put in all kinds here relating to guns tech and other things.) Undead. She doesn't heal nor decays. She is dead but somehow is still walking around and is just a dead human. Things that would instantly kill a human have little effect on her. However, if she gets cut, it will never heal. Telekinesis.

Name: Born Meryl Sparrow but currently in the body of Desmond Anderson.

Appearance(Normal): As Meryl Sparrow:
White female in early 30s with medium length black hair. Average build.

As Desmond Anderson:
Clean shaven black male in mid 20s with short black hair. Fit build.
Appearance(In uniform): Black combat boots, black kevlar jeans, dark grey long sleeved t-shirt, black kevlar vest under shirt, black cargo jacket, pistol holster on inside of jacket, black gloves. Black beanie hat that when pulled down has a single hole for both eyes. It serves as normal hat when on head but balaclava when pulled down.
Back story: Meryl was born in Washington DC to a single mother named Ashley Sparrow. Ashley is now in her 50's and still lives in DC. Meryl's father was a banker who left before Meryl was born. Meryl always wanted to be a police officer and upon reaching adulthood moved to Gotham and joined the police force. Meryl rose up the ranks and eventually became a detective. Her partner was Kevin Jones, a white male with short brown hair and in his 30s. Kevin is single and lives in the Tricorner. After Meryl was on the force for 7 years Batman disappeared from Gotham. A week after this Meryl and Kevin were investigating a new criminal upstart who was calling himself "Faraday Rage." He was believed to be little more than a street thug who happened to have superpowers and as a result fancied himself as a supervillian. Even his name was stupid. Meryl was investigating a warehouse with Kevin, they believed Faraday to be there. The two got split up and Meryl came across one of Faraday's goons, a Desmond Anderson. Meryl told him to freeze and that he was under arrest. However Meryl was shot by Faraday's other henchman who was behind Meryl. Meryl fell to the ground and looked at Desmond. Is was here Meryl discovered her magical ability as she and Desmond switched bodies. Desmond and Meryl were both equally shocked and confused. The other henchmen then decided to finish who he believed was Meryl off. They heard Kevin coming and decided to run, the henchman almost having to drag Meryl with him.

Upon getting to Faraday's hideout it really was pathetic. Faraday didn't have superpowers, he was just sick of being a henchman. His surname was just Faraday and he believed pretending he did would make him more menacing. Furthermore her only appeared to have the two henchmen. Faraday was getting ready to torture a jewellery shop owner he had kidnapped, he was hoping to find out safe combinations. Meryl told him to stop and was soon in a firefight with both Faraday and his goon. Meryl came out victorious and unharmed, however Faraday and his henchman were both dead. Meryl saved the shop owner who was unsurprisingly extremely grateful.

With Meryl Sparrow legally dead, Meryl assumed Desmond's identity although quit the henchman job. Desmond had an apartment in Upper East Side and fortunately no family in the city. Meryl got used to the new-found power, trying it out on animals. However Meryl still wanted to help people even if not a police officer, Gotham needed crime fighters now more than ever. For this reason Meryl also became "V.V" or "Vice Versa." V.V sent a letter to Kevin, informing him that they had dealt with Faraday and wanted to meet in person. As much as V.V wanted to admit that he was Meryl, he didn't, not yet anyway, he wanted to give it time. He doubted Kevin would believe it. Kevin became V.V's contact in the GCPD and V.V decided to do what he could to keep the city safe.
Abilities: (Put in all kinds here relating to guns tech and things.)
Magical: Can magically swap bodies with others at will. To do this V.V focuses their mind on that with who they want to swap and willingly does it. This includes humans, metahumans, aliens and animals. The one they want to swap with has to be within 10 Metres of V.V and has to be concious. Can use the abilities of those they swap with. This ability is magical, it travels with V.V's spirit into whatever body they inhabit and isn't left behind in their old body. There isn't any visual indicator of this happening for an outsider to observe. After a few seconds they find themselves in each others body. The ability isn't perfect and can be resisted particularly by those with magical resistance or indomitable will. Neither side gains memories due to the switch. The switch is permanent unless V.V decides to switch again.
Non-Magical: Charismatic and persuasive. Skilled marksman and more than competent hand to hand and melee fighter. Seasoned investigator, skilled in lockpicking and use of computers. Able to drive and swim.

Suppressed M1911 in holster with serial numbers filed off, spare 45. ammo in coat pocket, butterfly knife in jeans pocket, smart phone in jeans pocket (kept on silent), USB Memory stick in jeans pocket, keys to apartment in Upper East Side and to a dark green 2004 Chevrolet Impala Sedan in jeans pocket, lockpicking kit in coat pocket, black leather wallet containing a few hundred dollars in jeans pocket.

Name: Jeremiah Adams
Alias: Shadowstrike
Origin of powers: Meta(Natural)
Appearance(Normal): Dark red hair, naturally gifted to him through the wonders of genetics, and stormy blue eyes are the most striking features of Adams. He is muscular, but not overly so, and is in his late 20's.
Appearance(In uniform): Loose fitting dark-grey combat fatigues and a semi-tight fitting dark-grey hoodie. On his face and under his hood, he wears this. He uses a grey combat belt to hold his knives and other weapons, and wears leather combat boots.
Back story: Adams, his preferred name, grew up in a fairly average, if slightly dysfunctional, household in an extremely small town. Seeking adventure, he signed up in the navy, quickly applying for and becoming a Seal, and soon he became one of the best they had. This led him on many different missions, all successful. It was that faithful raid against a drug lord that proved to be his match. Going in with nothing but a bow and a quiver of arrows, he was expected to assassinate the target and get out within an hour. Things turned for the worse when he was spotted and gunned down by the cartel, taking several bullets to his legs and lower abdomen.
When he awoke a few weeks later almost fully healed and in a well furnished room still on the drug lords property, he was given the option of working for him to repay his debt or death. Taking the sensible option, he performed many many tasks, from assassinatin other drug lords to overseeing the shipment of millions of dollars worth of drugs of all kinds. He soon grew to love this form of work, fighting and killing for cash instead of patriotism, and when his debt was repaid, he continued to work off and on for the drug lord. After a few years, and rumors of opportunities in Gotham, he decided to ply his trade there, working for anyone who had the cash to pay.
Abilities: Exceptional skill in archery and most non-conventional long range weapons (throwing knives, tomahawks, etc.).
Equipment: A high-end, high strength bow (of course), a quiver of a mixture of regular and explosive tipped arrows. A tomahawk, several throwing knives, and a small silenced pistol as a last resort. Adams also has an apartment just outside of Old Gotham, and a silver 2008 Nissan 350z.

Name:Meredith Sato
Alias: Liquid Lass
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Origin of powers: Meta
Appearance(Normal): A slim, petite Japanese woman, Meredith has slim eyes, a rounded nose and face, and black hair cut short. There is nothing especially distinguishing about her. She is what would be called “girl next door” pretty. Flat chested and hipped, she could pass for a boy but for her face.
Appearance(In uniform): A clear liquid.
Back story: Meri grew up with her mother and father up until the age of 13 when her mutation showed itself one night while taking a shower. Meredith went through the pipes and through the water treatment center where she was separated from the rest of the water and dumped into the ocean. Unable to find her way back home she wandered from town to town begging, borrowing and stealing to get by.
Abilities: Can turn herself into a clear liquid, but nothing else. She can move and interact with things in this state, including climbing up surfaces. If injured she can turn into liquid for a few hours to heal. Her six years living on her own has taught her several tricks in the art of theft.
Weaknesses: Extreme cold (freezes her) or heat (evaporates her) while in liquid form; normal damage taken when solid.
Equipment: A pair of jeans, a white t-shirt and a grey hoodie. White socks with pink toes and white shoes with pink trim.
Side: Neutral, but could be swayed either way. Leans toward being good naturally.

Name: Kuan Deshi
Alias: Yōulíng (Specter)
Origin of powers : Meta
Appearance(Normal):His hair and face. He is lightly built, but muscled. Kuan keeps his face and skin as clean as possible, and hates it if something gets on him.
Appearance(In uniform): He wears this, along with a pair of combat boots.
Back story: Kuan was born in China to rice farmers, and as you can imagine, that sucked. He was called strange, as he was constantly talking to someone none could see. This person was Xiang Yu, an ancient warrior, and his ancestor. Unfortunately, Xiang was not benign, and his anger sometimes slipped into Kuan. The boy became moody, disrespectful, and savage. One day, Xiang finally broke the barrier, and Kuan slew a boy who had thrown a rock at him. He hid the body, emotionless. He watched silently as a fisherman was convicted of killing the boy. Kuan was 12 at the time. He left China at age 25, and wandered, eventually settling in Gotham. When he saw the disorder and chaos, Xiang grew hungry. He pressured the boy to fight, to kill, to feast. And so it began, Yōulíng roamed the streets, slaying any he deemed unworthy of life. Xiang has ordered him not to use firearms. However, over the years, Kuan has begun to regain himself, slowly breaking out of Xiang's control.
Abilities: Naturally agile, Kuan can also consult with Xiang Yu if he needs advice or guidance.
Equipment: He wields the shuang go, the hook swords. He also carries 3 rope darts, and a flying claw, as well as a compound bow.
Side: Hero, in the loosest sense of the word.

Name: Stanley Ingram, PhD
Alias: Dr. I
Origin of powers: Mech
Appearance (Normal): Stanley is a white man around his mid-40s with black hair (greying at the sides), a little taller than normal but of average weight. He has a black goatee on his chin. His bionic right eye matches the brown colour of his natural left one, and is only identifiable by the faint mechanical sound it makes when zooming in or out.
Appearance (In uniform): Unbuttoned white lab coat over a dark blue dress shirt and khakis, and a utility belt carrying his equipment.
Back story: Stanley was born with no sight in his right eye. As he grew up, living with his family in a small town near Gotham, he learned to live with this disability, and made up for it by showing a high level of intelligence in school. He took an interest in the sciences, and decided to become a doctor. Shortly after attaining his PhD and securing a job at Gotham General Hospital, he began using his spare time to construct a bionic eye implant for himself. After some time, and a good deal of collaboration, he was able to complete his invention, and began using the cyber eye. This was around fifteen years ago, and he is well used to the implant now. When the Batman disappeared, Dr. Ingram initially thought it was a good thing, as there now wouldn't be so many thugs being sent to the hospital by the caped crusader. But when said thugs took over most of the city, along with their bosses, he knew that it would not be for the better, and became determined to do whatever was in his power to stop the harm being caused by the villains.
Abilities: His bionic eye provides him enhanced sight, including night vision, infrared vision, and the ability to zoom in and out with enhanced clarity. He also is well-learned in the various areas of science, and has above-average intelligence.
Equipment: A stun gun, and a few medical pouches including some of the usual contents of a first-aid kit.
