Hey, I was thinking of starting to make my own rp. What do you think would be a better first time rp:
1. My own made up land.
2. Elder Scroll related land.

I'm thinking about a roleplay that involves Marukhati Selectives and the Alessian Order. (Yes, I've been hitting the Wiki, and yes, I am proud of myself.)

I won't give anything away, but it may involve a genocide. And action. N' stuff.

...Perhaps. It would be difficult. The Ayleids won't exactly be lucky in the roleplay.

Wow, that idea is pretty similar to mine, about the MS coming back. I've never seen it before though.

I choose #1 and I put it up. I don't see it going to far with all of the other starting RP's but I intended on putting it up for awhile, so I might as well.

Plot

You are on an airplane. It doesn't matter where it is, or what airline it is. You flew from your home to this airport. You did this because you felt like it for the sake of argument. The RP will start when the airplane is taking off. Your destination is The Nile, and you obviously won't make it if you look at the title. The plane will crash. Events will happen on the island. Simple.
PMing

You can PM anyone you want, but you have to PM it to me too. When you PM someone, you might want to put in the forum something like:"Bob went up to Henry in the middle of the nigh and woke him up. He whispered in his ear" What you whisper will be in the PM you send the person and me, not in the forum. Some things will be told only by PM's. You cannot tell anyone else what you were PM'ed. You cannot tell anyone else what you PM'ed besides me. As a matter of fact, you need to tell me what you PM to who. I may PM you sometimes. You also don't tell anyone about what I PM you.
Character Sheet

You can most certainly make your character with only one exception. You need to choose a occupation from the list below. These are your job choices. If you have a different idea, I will add it to the list and you can have it if you want it. No two jobs can be the same. No one can have the same job as someone else. Here are the jobs:
-Politican
-Lumberjack
-Veteran
-Carpenter
-Martial Artist
-Baker
-Average Business man
-Police Officer
-Priest
-Lawyer
-Nanny
-Janitor
-Teacher
-Homeless man

You can make as many characters as you want, but only one character will have the "Chosen Job" filled out. Here is the character sheet:

There is multiple storylines. Some storylines won't be known by some of the players.

You would really have to play to know why. I wouldn't be able to answer it.

EDIT: All right, not too many people are interested in joining so I have a few things I would like to say.
1. I will be starting it awhile from now, I know there are a lot of really good RPs up right now.

2. There is a huge twist in the game that should make it interesting, it is what I didn't want to tell you.

In this game, each person is either a:
targeter= someone who wants somebody dead
or a:
target=someone who is wanted dead
Once the people choose who they are, they will be told this if they are a target. Say this person chose a pet sitter, this is what they are told:
-You are a targeter.
-Your cover identity is a pet sitter, like you have chosen.
-You are really an undercover agent.
-You are targeting an international murderer because he is on the move again.
-The international murderer is on the plane.
-The international murderer knows you are on the plane.
-You don't know what the international murderer looks live and the international murderer doesn't know what you look like.
-You need to kill the target before you leave the island.
-Your target cannot beat you in battle.
-You will only have one chance to murder somebody because once you do, you will be executed no matter the cause.
The target will be told if he chose, let's say, a mall owner:
-You are the target
-Your cover identity is a mall owner, like you have chosen.
-You are really an international murderer.
-An undercover agent has you targeted becuase you are on the move again.
-The undercover agent is on the plane
-The undercover agent knows you are on the plane.
-You do not know what the undercover agent looks like, and the undercover agent doesn't know what you look like
-Your goal is to not die. (obviously)
-You cannot beat your peruser in battle.
-Your pursuer only has one chance to kill you because once he does, execution will occur no matter the cause

All of the secret identities are different. There are also more mini plots in the game which I really can not tell you.
So now what do you think
(Again I plan on doing this awhile after someother RPs go away)

SECOND EDIT: Okay, I know that at least 15 people have viewed this page since I put the new thing up. Can these people tell me the reasons it is bad Please?

Ok, I can try. Sorry in advance if this seems harsh. You asked.

So, first of all, the idea sounds too much like Lost. Second of all, the target/targeter (is that a word?) setup seems convoluted, overly complicated and not plausible at all. There is an entire plane that just happens to be packed with murderers and secret agents chasing after them and everyone has a secret identity? How did that happen exactly? Also, you're telling people who they are, what they want, what they can and cannot do... That's too restrictive and I prefer it when the plot leaves the players more freedom. Or at least for the rules and restrictions to make sense - yours don't IMO. And the last point (and that's the harsh one, so once again - sorry), I've seen your posts in several threads and your writing style is dry and impersonal, which makes me doubt that you'd be a good Game Master. Or at least the kind of Game Master I like to roleplay with.
