Ah, so I'm not alone in my confusion, after all.

Someone does need to make this happen. Though how many of the original cast are actually left?

You know.. How interesting would it be if Rosa had a child? I mean, either A) She's older and more mature, but still holds on to those old ideals but is.. How do I say, more stern in the face of all things, or B) The daughter is taking after her rebel of a mother, with a few distinctive changes(Maybe a bit more rough and tomboyish?)

Huh.. Who else from the cast would make for an older/next generation appearance?(Looks over to Union) Grizzled old man? Still got that charm? Still has a thing or two up his sleeve?

Seriously, in what other RPs would slightly older or immediate descendants of notable characters would bring about a new spark of interest? Blacklight, anybody?

Though she was stern to begin with, I always imagined Rosa growing increasingly wearied and cynical with age: more ready to pull the trigger on someone, more willing to drop an ally or a contact as the need arises. Her great hope for a proletarian uprising has long since whittled, the ideology she retains is tinged with bitterness. Whilst she never quite loses her ideals she does begin to forget what it felt like when she thought they might someday be applied. Rosa was always a character who was driven precisely because she knew which direction she was heading; This character, on the other hand, if not lost, as if they're after heading around on some pretty neat circles.

Since that means I'd get to explore Rosa more as a person - as opposed to just a communist - I think would make it fun; certainly different which is what would keep it interesting going back.

On the subject of descendants Rosa was gay which basically excludes the possibility of accidents and I can't imagine her ever volunteering to bear a child otherwise. That she might end up adopting the child of a fallen comrade is something I'd considered though why someone would elect to give their child up to old Rosa is beyond me.

I can't imagine descendants working for most of the characters I've run to be honest. Most of my characters are the sorts that should just never have children. If there would be any defining charactaristic of any descendent it would be a drive for structure.

Bio engineering advancements are a thing, as is cloning, remember? And who said she's the one required to be the host*? And as you said, adoption exists. Point being, lil Rosa just needs to take after her 'mother' somehow, if not partly by appearance(if not coincidental) or by her path in life.. Much like falling into the same faults.. Contrary to any words of advice

For the record, only three of them are actually dead. Although I did end a RP with all the player characters dying and the entire city the RP was set in being destroyed so...

I mean, S&S was the best RP I ever ran I agree with you all there, they players were excellent and it went really well. I don't want to get people's hopes up but I'll make a GM post about things in the Future RP thread tomorrow which involves sorta-cyberpunky stuff. I'll probably be making a GM post for Fallout tomorrow too.

...also Caius was one of my favorite characters in the RP. You really shouldn't beat yourself up over it.

But no really, who was Melvin. All I remember is Rosa(I.e the running lead for baddest [&@%!]), Dov's character(s), Union's pal(I.e the only magic user with good karma), an orc with alot of firepower(Baloth does love them orcs), and Hiss's short lived character

Melvin was my orc hacker guy who ended up being kind of just there the whole time, never really doing or saying anything notable.

In the ill fated S&S 'sequel' fic I started but never finished, Arthas is in his late 30's/early 40's, is happily married, and has 4 kids. Brondar is in his 40's/50's and has a single Faustian daughter.

Pretty tame for a cyberpunk setting, but Arthas' younger sister was gonna go through some serious [&@%!] as the main character.

I'd forgotten cloning actually. I was going to say 'isn't that grossly illegal' but Rosa wouldn't care. Though I still can't think of a reason as to why she'd want to bring a child into this capitalist pig-sty. But presuming she ends up with a child, somehow, what I think I am most conflicted is about whether that child would hold to the same communist ethos as Rosa - esp to the same extent: seeing the cynicism and weariness she developed during her time would surely suggest that it isn't a very fulfilling path to walk down in life. So actually it might work out similar to Rosa, where it's the case that her daughter possesses a similar personality but isn't quite sure about where she wants to direct all that energy.

But I haven't really thought about it to too huge an extent. I just know I wouldn't do another communist footsoldier since I've done it before.

I can't be the only one who views character development as greater than the plot. Though I guess this gets at the fundamental question as to whether we are writing collaboratively or playing a game or some combination of both. I tend to swing a lot more to the former but I can understand taking the latter approach.

BL: I'm intending to show Shulbash via thoughts for most of the RP, to be honest thus may come off as a bit dull for some folkes when there isn't much to do. But I am enjoying it so far and that elf best pray that Skullbash doesn't appear.

TA2: Any DM update on Arellius and Niralie? (Like what was wrong with Arellius, whether Niralie's healing was successful)

Edit: The result of Niralie's healing has been edited in. The extent of his injuries was primarily his ribcage.

Persona: Is this a school that wears a uniform? I think I might be confusing school and college in my head all the time.

Persona: It's a private high school, so it does mandate a uniform. Some students tend to wear it a little loosely, or accessorize on top of it, and usually the administration doesn't care overly much.

Persona: So long as there's nothing offensive on the additions wear what cha want? Awesome.

BL: Just a random thought, if the climax is a series of battles with the Legion reinforcing, I can see Shulbash speaking quite a lot. In terms of rallying people. "The Thalmor view you as maggots, worthless scum, curs, skooma fiends, weaklings but that is their mistake. Today, we fight. Today, they die. Today, we restore your Province. For this is Cyrodiil and they are not welcome here!" Or Velvet pullls a massive twist and it turns out that we're actually helping the Thalmor.
