TA2: As great as Zudeel's stoicism has been, you do need to realize that you're in a RP, part of which is being in a party. And if you keep making it difficult to get into the party, you might not get into the party. As it is, you're on Grelok's last bit of patience to possibly get in with him.

Also, yeah, nobody said anything about Daedric Threads. There was no mention of Daedra. You can go back to see what Miss Linvail described her artifact as being, but as of yet, Zudeel would only know that there were some sort of artifacts known as "threads". Grelok could be talking about any number of different types of artifacts--elven, dwemer, random enchanted items, ancient nord [&@%!]...To jump to "daedric threads" is meta.

TA2: It seems I've [&@%!] off to many people now. Union should just kick me out now. Sorry for my behavior, but people obviously want me gone.

TA2: Nah, you're fine. Just tone down the meta aspect a bit. Also, what Baloth is saying is a suggestion, not a command. Always stoic and distant characters are difficult to play well and aren't that much fun in the long run, believe me.

Being stoic is fine, but not everyone is cold 100% of the time. Have Zudeel show a little emotion, or barring that, emphasize the parts of his backstory that make him interesting.

TA2: The fact that other players have been giving advice, trying to work with ya, and over all acknowledging his character.. well thats a good thing  If we were [&@%!], well we'd be [&@%!] about him, not commenting. i've even commented theories behind Zu's choice of actions(i.e his suspicion stems from being disillusioned)

We want to see him develop as a character and for you to gain a grasp on RPing. Last we want is for Zu to be left out of Union's main group. Grelok as a character may near the end of his patience, but I highly doubt Baloth is(he's a good chap). Characters that only give a cold shoulder are hard to include, you can still have ice in your blood and be apart of a team. We all have are rough starts

Your all good, King :) seriously

TA2: I don't know about me being a "good chap" but I concur with the others. I am giving advice and recommendations based on my own experience and mistakes I've made--none of us have ever started flawlessly.

Grelok's irritation is not my own. I'm zen. And his has subsided. When writing dialogue, consider how it might sound to others, how it might make them feel, or how it would make you feel if someone was saying it to you--coming off as having a bunch of demands and repeatedly voicing his distrust, Grelok was becoming negatively inclined towards Zudeel. A willingness to compromise and be calm and reasonable, however, set him back to being amicable. You'll catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. :P A character doesn't have to be (and shouldn't be) a yes man, but so long as they generally find themself agreeing with and being decent to others, they in turn will get along with others just fine.

As a character, I like Zudeel, and I'm curious to see what you can do with him. It's just important to not alienate him from the party. ;)

Boundaries are a sport thing?

Also you think it's just Alessia? How do you think they get information and proof like they did? Think thinks thinks!

Yeah there's kind of a theme I wanna explore with this.

TA2: On the contrary, KF, this criticism is mostly because we want to include you in things. Folks have a high standard in this subforum because we have a rich history of skilled writers and roleplayers, and none of them got to where they are/were without some constructive criticism and pointers.

Mistakes happen, dude. It's all good.

TA2: ^Indeed. Don't be so hard on yourself, KF - characters can be in conflict or in disagreement in the roleplay, and equally out-of-character we can give each other tips on how our pcs can gel together better, but without having to compromise your character's personality and beliefs.
Nobody wants to kick out a player, just because their character isn't immediately jumping on the plot bandwagon , but equally, no one wants your pc to get left out of the fun. Everyone is very flexible and will always try and suggest options that may make the rp run a bit more smoothly, so don't think that you're doing a crap job and that people are annoyed, because nobody is thinking that at all.
I like Zudeel; he's an interesting character and I look forward to seeing how he will advance with the group, and how his suspicious nature may affect our quest.

TA2: You are doing a much better job then i did when i first joined the RP forum. Let's say that there were weeks where it was rare for negative comments about my awful characters to not be mentioned. You're doing a good job of doing a good character but i would recommend being a bit more social with your character or it could get a bit boring for you. We always love interaction. Even if i tend to er.... accidentally derail the RP or [&@%!] up. *starts to sweat* As someone that has had a very [&@%!] start to roleplaying, i can offer some points if you want. :) I think everyone will agree that my earlier characters were mostly [&@%!], unlikable and Uwe Boll quality. Yes, i think they were that bad. *shudders*

TA2 is also an open world RP. I would be very shocked and disappointed if Union tried to railroad us into continuing his plot at any cost.

GWN: So i shouldn't break out the American flag if i want to live? :P

KT: Maybe Dick noticed or maybe, his anger and hatred of being in these trapped things blinds him. Maybe, he will be the begining of the ending. Maybe, it is his turn to be the force that drives us. The force that binds us and you get the rest of the quote.

Diesel: I am expecting someone to ruin the quietly deal with the ghost plan of mine at any given time. Hopefully, neither Tobias or Mord burst in, open fire and claim to be rescuing Elisa. :P I am of course joking. I doubt they would do that.

Diesel: Wait, me and Baloth could *gasps* work together in an RP that is GMed by Kerr? What foul magic is this?! What sick forces are at work! What dark arts are being practised to ensure me and Baloth don't go down the usual Dovah and Kul character not getting along route? And so forth and so forth.

TA2: TSD is on the money there. I'm down for DMing the adventures of a sole character. Though I'd much rather we stick to groups of at least 2 (because character interaction is the soul of an RP), I'll accomodate however you need. TA2's meant to be run like that, I believe.

TA2: I've been in a RP where i was the only person left. It was a bit awkard and admittly, i was a bit impatient at times. You can be by yourself, KF but i wouldn't recommend it. It would be rather boring after a while and i think, Union would be likely to do GM posts when everyone has posted. That said, i don't know what i'll be doing with Kat and whilst i can see Nora inviting her to the group, it would require some handwaving from me to explain how she can continue her vacation. Admittly, i forgot to send a raven to Solitude but i think, a month off and this being just part of week 1 can be enough for me to fudge my way through it. It's also why i kinda move ahead with Darkscale in Rooky Balboa's group. That and to avoid a situation where someone *cough* Shadow *cough* goes "ARGH! Spirit!" then kills him.

Sighing, Guo opted to enter the room on the left side of the hallway, closest to the stairs. "Hello? Has anyone found anything?"

Is Guo entering the bathroom, the room the ghost is in or going back upstairs to the room Raul is in? It isn't entirely clear so I thought it best to ask.

Diesel: Cool, I'll write up a post now.

I wonder if Tobias will be able to figure out what the anchor is or if he'll just start burning things and hoping for the best.

Diesel: You lot killing Chunhui and the doctor and then burning down the house with three bodies and a ghost inside to hide all evidence of your crimes is something that could happen. Hell, while you're at it take the morphine and try to sell it to the mother of the woman you just killed.

Diesel: No, I need to keep giving you naughty ideas.

Does Tobias really want to go down for this? How does he know Chunhui won't tell Howard about it, that Howard won't decide enough is enough and have you all taken out? Is Tobias willing to take that risk? And Chunhui is a soultouched, she'll remember everything, so it's not like she'll stay dead.

Diesel: This is a nice contrast. In S&S, someone gets shot in the back and gets up a few moments later. In Diesel, someone gets kneecapped and bleeds out.

I'll be honest, I kinda fell out with Diesel. Wasn't really feeling Mordy (Still am not really), and was considering (still kinda considering really) dropping it. Not much has happened in between 'shot the guy' and 'guy dies', right?

Diesel: No, not much has really happened. Tobias did stand on the wound and make it worse.

Also if you want to drop out, do so. I don't want players to feel like they're obligated to stay if they aren't enjoying themselves. Or that just because they're enjoying one game I'm running, they have to stay in the other one they don't like very much. Taking part in RPGs should be a fun hobby, not a chore you force yourself to do.

Diesel: Well, I'm just in an odd spot where I can't really tell the difference between "Am I not enjoying the setting, the RP, the story, etc etc etc", "Am I not enjoying my character", or "Are the circumstances of my life piling up in such a way that makes me feel like I'm not enjoying it", ya know? That's why I'm on the fence. I don't feel obligated (okay maybe a little, but only because <3 you, Kerr), it's just a weird middling state.

In any case, I am thinking of dropping out. If so, feel free to use Mordy as an NPC or whatever once I space out. That or make him disappear on the horizon, or into the dark streets. Either way, thank you for understanding.

Diesel: I'm enjoying the ghost and partly hoping to be the one to do what we were told to do instead of either being the load or doing nothing at all or effing up all over the place. Union, have you considered taking a small break from Diesel? It could just be that there isn't really anything going on at the moment thus it being a bit so so for you.
