I'm not even sure they would be outnumbered. There seems to be a disconnect between what you read on the Gray Quarter and what shown in the game. It's supposed to be an overpopulated ghetto, so despite the fact that it's a smaller part of the city I think it would be plausible that the Dunmer out number Nords in the city but if nobody else agrees I'll drop it.

ES:O is too large scale, takes place over too large a space and for the battles you would need like at least 30 RPers (or everyone would need multiple characters) and large scale battles never work out well.

RoF has the scale thing right, it's just a minor skirmish in a small area.

Though what ever happened to the whole civil war RP idea, thing. I'm sure there would be interest in that.

Also P-sto although I don't think the RP would work, its a nice idea I'd be interested to hear your other ideas.

Will have to put some thought into the other ones. They were more character specific so I would have to see if there is a way to make it fun for multiple players. Also some of my ideas may make the lore fiends here cry, as much of my time playing Skyrim was ignoring certain aspects of the lore to make the game more fun. Thanks for entertaining the thought though.

Dying if the rebellion fails would be late in the game. There would have to be rallying of the population, smuggling in arms, training the population, gathering intelligence, minor acts of sabotage, reaching out to find allies before any actual fighting happens.

Thanks for the support Witchery, I'm also hoping some interest picks up for your Forsworn rp. Been thinking about it a bit and I'm liking the idea of it more and more.

I'm not sure if this will encourage people or scare them away but if I do go forward with a Windhelm rebellion it will likely have a number of mature dark themes. The idea was inspired by a NPC I created that never got off the ground. A bit of her backstory can be found here.

If I did make a World of Darkness RP (it would be far, far down the line) what would you think of Dublin as a setting? It think it would be different and interesting to do it instead of USA or London.

I've said this before but I was interested with a war RP That took place within one country. There was a freeform-ish Skyrim roleplay before but it died early. It would involve more politics, backstabbing, moving in the shadows. The good stuff. (The Skyrim one) Maybe alternatively one set in Westeros (Game of Thrones that would actually be pretty awesome), or about any fictional country/land.

Soulless Collections: A Steampunk/Victorian Era/Our world mixture
Magics: There are two brands of magic:
Source which is silent and encompasses Altercate, Axceel, Vanishe, and Strente, but is only allowed to a selected bloodline, and can only be learned from Sourcers, some expert Sourcers somehow managed to make the magic expand to other schools.
Magyn is the more common magic brand used, it encompasses many many things, but require the user to speak (Could be a sentence, or could be a word) in order to work. Many people in the world are users of Magyn.
    The Schools of Magic:
  • Altercate: Altering the properties of things around you, and yourself. Users are often classed into shape-shifters or area-changers.
  • Axceel: Controlling the speed of you and those around you, can be used to speed up your reflexes or slowing down those around you for a getaway, experienced users of Axceel would be able to seem like they are teleporting.
  • Vanishe: This involves the absence of an object, a sense or a sensation. People can turn completely invisible, unable to be tracked or heard with this magic.
  • Strente: This is the augmentation of your own physical being. This can be used to increase your jump distance or your strength.
  • Soomanic: This is the summoning of objects and beings, it also entitles to banishment, allowing people to use it as a form of magical storage. Some users can summon a shield then vanish it quickly to defend themselves (as an example).
  • Destre: This school uses force and the elements to harm and destroy objects. This can also be used to manipulate the elements and force.
  • Ruue: This magic is used to seal in magicks to be released at a later date, this magic seems to cover many of the schools, and this can be manifested in art or words and be used after being triggered by a word or touch.
  • Forturn: The magical manipulation of luck, it can be for the positive or the negative manipulation, a very difficult and unstable magic however.
  • Infese: This magic allows you to infuse an item, be it weapon, trinket or armour, with magic. The school of magic has to be known or given willingly by a accoplaince.
    However there are some forbidden magics, there are practicers, but they are few and far between:
  • Scyncho: This magic allows you to tap into a targets body, emotion and mind, using their power and magic against them. The user however is at a risk of being over taken by the emotions and anything could happen. Scyncho can also link to people together or a person to an object, making them experience what the other does. This magic is forbidden under the rules of the Imperia.
  • Clonk: Clonk magic is incredibly strong, it allows you to control the age of any object around, and it is dangerous as it is useful. This is forbidden under the rules of the Imperia except in circumstances of war.
  • Sacrie: This magic requires great sacrifice in order to use, an emotion, a body part, a life. Usage of this magic is permanent, and very strong, as such the Imperia conducts interviews of those gifted with magic periodically to see if they are using this school.
  • Daeden: The use of the dead, bones and others to their will. This is a very unspoken off magic due to it being ignoble to use a fallen foe’s body. Not even the Imperia in war would lift this rule. Anyone found using Daeden were to be executed on sight.

All I have so far. And this mysterious Imperia pertains to a country in Victorian times.~
Hope someone takes pity on me and help me with my map.. I'm completely unsure what to do for it..

Would be very awesome.

These are just so hard to A) Manage. B) Keep people interested in. Just look at Astrum. It's an awesome concept, it's just hard to get to work.

A bit like Original World RPs. They are, IMO, often just as good, sometimes even better than most other RPs, but lose out tremendously on the need to create your own lore. And its a balance between having too much and too little lore. Both can be devastating.

Speaking of which, I'm battling with a draft to the Op of an Own-World RP, too. Not one of those fancy freeform ones. I get confused in those because I have too many possibilities. A storydriven Own world RP. Like Matt's. *not copying at all* :roll:

When I think I'm ready for it, would someone like to read it through for me and make suggestions?

1. There may be one of the aforementioned roleplays in the works (Not by me), but it isn't definite yet so I won't say any more. I think a one country war RP is more personal, however, so it will be more active.

I'm thinking about making an RP set in American colonial days, the early ones before all of those burning desires for freedom came about. Atheryin: Fall of Thyros
The First WFU RP to Brave UESPF

In a time before record, a long, legendary fable was spun, detailing the birth of the world of Atheryin. Men, elves, and beast races flourished on the new soil of the world, and a few several millennium passed before the growth of numerous kingdoms and empires sprouted across the varied continent. In a time of lesser prosperity, the emperor of the great Thyrosic Empire started killing off groups of people to appease one of their gods. He has since ruled tyrannically, and continues the mass executions along with other atrocities.
You are one of these execution groups.

Setting
The RP takes place all across Atheryin, the large main continent of WFU.
However, you and your fellow players are leading your escapade throughout the Thyrosic Empire, on the eastern-most coast of the continent. Thyros is a land of rolling farmlands and sometimes rainy climates, and some volcanic activity in the south. The mountains are dense with forests and alpine at their peaks. A sprawling, desolate tundra lies to the far north, where inhabitants are used to the generally bitter weather, even though human population is rather sparse.

Current Politics
(Subject to Change)
Nokana Empire
Currently in a propaganda campaign to antagonize Thyros. Rumors state that they plan a land invasion on the Empire, but they do not yet have the support to carry out such a bold military movement. The newly formed Empire is rapidly expanding due to their surplus of resources left over from the Lyrian Empire's downfall.
Juruna is currently performing studies on its Lightwell, supposedly building a weapon capable of mimicking it and using the light created as a projectile. The Forges in Raven's Maw continue to work, producing master-quality weapons for the Nokana legion officers, as well as any willing buyers. The capitol stationed here is in the process of moving to Arctun, notably for its strategic benefits.
Arctun is rebuilding its walls after the Clan Insurgence, a revolt of some of the previous Nokanian bandit clans that did not get a seat in the new empire's government. Damage from the conflict did not reach much further into the city than the outer sections near the walls, but several civilians were lost to the fighting.

Aios
Aios is only emerging into the world, and is largely unrecognized by most political bodies. However, it happened to strike a trade deal with the Dún, giving it an abundant source of resources and a steady flow of mercantile, for a heavy price... The Dunaan want trained Kutai soldiers for their armies.

The Dún
The greater area of the Dún is under excellent condition. Their agriculture industry has not seen a bad season in 15 years, and they have a steady mining trade with Nokana, as well as trade agreements with other countries. Travel to the area has become more frequent, and with travelers comes adventurers. This offers the city states a lot of willing people to take on daunting tasks for less pay than a typical soldier. These random runs by adventurers have made the ancient Dunaan countryside a much safer place, and more and more people are moving into the area.

Khorrum
At the time of 156 LE, the Mhenuur are enjoying a tentative peace after the end of the Thousand-Divide War in 151 LE.
While there's still tension among the people, trade is picking up, Khor'Juun is building the first seafaring vessels, and Juhn-rak is slowly expanding into a city due to its fishing exports.
Largely, the Mhenuur are still isolated and 151-350 LE is called the Centuries of the Great Bloom (A golden age) where they start stabilizing as a nation and Whorn-ik becomes their first port outside of Khorrum.

Kutai Tribes
The assorted Kutai states below Thyros are collectively noted to be battling an onslaught of Yakira forces, which are said to be receiving steal weaponry (as opposed to their usual stone weapons) from an outside source, based on tablet reports sent from Junas Kaan to Arctun.
Kados is directly under attack by the Yakira tribes, though Kutai have managed to hold their ground among their massive mountain temples. The Kutai have supposedly enlisted the assistance of various jungle creatures, including the Ak'tuun, via a pact with Lekatu, the Earth-god of the Kira Jungle.
Desohk is specially hunting down the Yakira scouts among the giant Seris trees in the Fen. The tribe's ultimate goal is to "cleanse" the Fen by removing the Yakira entirely, however... Despite the current war waging between the races.
Donos has been sending assisting forces to Kados, most being archers, considering the area's reputation for well-trained archers. They still rely on their bronze technology, making their arrows extremely ineffective against the iron-armored Yakira warriors. Only a perfectly well-placed shot to the head could put down one of them... Luckily these archers are trained to do just that.
Julyr is rumored to have discovered a strange crystalline-like metal in their deep mineshafts. They're still developing a way to work the metal, but they hope it can potentially be used to make weaponry and armor capable of defeating the Yakira forces.

Usareik
The new-found home of the Jarvah, Usareik has only recently emerged into Atheryin's political world. Most of their political issues are normal, and recently they've been dealing with eradicating the Jarvan drug trade. Currently, the Jarvah are also building up to invade the isle of Dram... A race that has shown little interaction toward them. By far, not much is known of the strange red men from the east, but their history before Atheryin has seemed lost to the ages...
