Now that I have a free hour at school it'll be way easier to keep up with stuff on here too. :D

I'm thinking of reviving blacklight.
It'll have bigger guns, bigger monsters, more plot, viciouser Vampires, more mythology and maybe even magic!

I've had the base of an idea, don't know if it's been done before, but, the basic premise is a few hundred years into the future from Skyrim, another Akaviri invasion, probably the Kamal or Tsaesci has occured, and this time they didn't change sides or get defeated, and all Tamriel has been conquered.

For their people's entertainment, the various now subjuated races of Tamriel are forced to supply combatants to fight in an arena against bears, sabre cats, various monsters, draugr, giants, whatever else they can get hold of, with the end point of only some or none surviving, as a demonstration of their superiority, and a reminder of how the Akaviri won over them.

The plot will go through all that and then eventually onto the process of freeing Tamriel. Assuming enough of us survive to lead the rebellion, and we get that far.

3 playable sides - Tamriel races as of Skyrim, arena monsters and possibly a few of the Akaviri. Skills and stuff like Skyrim's. Ideally one of each race would be good, but not essential.

What do you reckon?

It sounds like a good idea in theory CBR JGWRR (well except the bit about being animals, they should be played by the DM 'cause they will have no interaction or character development) and I'm sure people would join it, though what would put me off is that I've never seen you RP before, I don't know your writing style or anything.

Perhaps you would be better off joining an RP first before you try start one, I've been on this forum for a bit now and I haven't started one myself. And here's some helpful advice to read before you start RPing. I'd say you should read this and this.

EDIT: Justice: Oh well guess we will never get to Ireland in TCD. Well Justice I may be interested in your next RP, though I'm in a few RP's at the moment and I'm going to wait for them to finish up before I join one.

Avron: I'd be like super excited for your RP (as I said in chat) though like Justice's RP I wont be joining if it starts in the next few months.

Musicman: That thing about Hopes Fall being postponed wasn't serious ? Was it ?! It's just to a little birdie (Avron) told me in chat that her RP wont be starting anytime soon (Or something like that) so now I'll have to wait even longer for the most anticipated RP (by me) of 2013.

There's probably someone who would want to which was why I put it in... I just had the thought and wanted to know your opinions on it, and if or when it gets taken further we can flesh out the details then.

I would agree it isn't the best idea for me to run it though, with no prior experience of RPing, aside from reading the ones on here, which while an ok start, isn't quite the same thing.

I'd definitely say RP a bit yourself first before DMing.

There's loads of RP's that you can get involved in and this is perhaps the most lax (lax=fun) place to RP on the internet. And there's loads of RP's you can get involved in, I'd link you to their OP page if I wasn't on my phone, though it shouldn't take you much reading to realise which ones are open to joining, some RP's that come to mind are Imp's Surviving the Undead (though I think Imp s gone for a bit.) Pomcey's Stranger Prince, Pomcey's Helceh's Corruption (I'm pretty sure he's still accepting people, though Pomcey can shout at me if I'm wrong) Kerr's They came from beyond the stars (Though you might have to PM him if you want to get involved as it's twenty pages or so in.) Musicman247's Hopes Fall is yet to start that would be a nice one to join and thats all that comes to mine.

Also since this really has nothing to do with the upcoming RP's PM me if you want to respond or have questions or stuff.

Do NOT DM without some prior experience as an RP'er. Learn from my mistakes, man. My first RP on here was one I made and I have to admit that it was really sub-par.

Having some experience really helps make you grow not only as a roleplayer, but it also lets you examine how certain DM's on here do things. And we have a LOT of great DM's on here to learn from; Kerr being the one I've learned from the most.

Would anyone be interested in a free form it is mainly about the end of the world on Earth and you moving to another planet called Lavador it is not going to go up for awhile maybe until some other free form RP's die out.

Original world means whether you made up the idea, or if it is from a published piece of work.

Anyway, about Atheryin. To those interested, Weasel has come up with a starting date for the RP. Hopefully, if all goes well, it will be starting on the 28th of February.

In the RP, basically, the Thyrosic Empire was at war with their rivals, the Nokana Empire. The emperor of the Thyrosic Empire prayed to their god Thyrnóc, to help them win the war. However, instead of Thyrnóc answering his prayers, an earth spirit pretended to by Thyrnóc and manipulated the emperor into serving him. In return for helping with the war, the emperor had to promise to slay 30 of his subjects per week, to appease the god. The emperor did this for a few years. Soon, disaster struck. A band of necromancers invaded the empire, bolstering their army with those that had been executed to appease the earth spirit. It was going bad for the Thyrosic Empire until an order, the Templar Order, agreed to help the ailing empire on the condition that they banned magic.

Your character is awaiting execution when a revolt happens.

Ah, yes, the Atheryin RP.
Here's our current geographic map for the RP, still working on the political one though:

Basically, yes, it's almost completely centered in the Thyrosic Empire. We'll have around 6 playable races, with 2 other races set aside for only one person per race to use. We're also going to have a fair deal of side quests, a few going outside the confines of the Empire and into other, more dangerous regions of Atheryin. There will also be a few personalized side quests involving your characters' specialties, and some nice, unique rewards for the characters as well.
