The offtopic point is a valid one, but it's really up to us as the community to make sure that we ourselves don't run offtopic. (We have the GD for that). Matt can always lock the thread if people start to abuse it, but I think we can all regulate our own behaviour and make it work.

Edit: rules would be good, and if you're happy to police it a little Matt, that would be great! :mrgreen:

My main concern is that it's going to get too chaotic with people trying to discuss different RP threads at the same time, kind of like with Tamrielic Adventures and the Harry Potter RP. Both interest me, but not if people are getting too confused over who is where and who's talking to whom.

Adding a title in bold and quoting could help perhaps? People should be doing that in RPs set in multiple locations anyway, so it'd be a good rule to re-enforce.

The bold titles help somewhat, but they're almost never used when they would help to clear up the confusion. The only way I could see people remembering them is if a rule says you have to put one on every post you make, but that would get rather repetitive.

Actually what about a role-play that goes around either

"The March on the Imperial City" (The Day and following months of Mede taking over the Imperial City, and the Empire)

Or

"The Final Days of an Era" (Where numerous forces from an independent Skyrim, Argonia, and Elsweyr to the Altmeri Dominion start to invade the Empire. With this ramification; other parties start to take the advantage and all hell breaks lose. High Rock is in a state of civil war, Hammerfell secedes and Dunmer forces stage a rebellion in the Argonian-occupied Almalexia)
