Renaissance and Victorian would be good. I'm trying to avoid something like Medieval, because I'd rather have something personal and intricate than a bog-standard army super knight war one. Plus there's the fact that pretty much every Medieval lifestyle would be boring as hell.

Hmm...Aside from the upcoming Inception RP, I have two major ideas.

1. Modern Gods (I mentioned this idea before) - players take on the role of "gods" (human-like beings with supernatural abilities and eternal life) that have kept their existence hidden from mortals since ancient times. They have survived into todays world. Residing in "Heaven" (a separate plane of existence), these "gods" are about to face an incredibly dangerous enemy that threatens to destroy Earth itself. "Gods" can fight each other, mess with the mortals' minds, start and end wars among mortal nations, and basically do whatever they want. Each "god" or "goddess" will have five angels to serve their every need.

2. A Sims RP - basically, you take on the role of a Sim(s) in the SimNation. Comedy, drama, action, romance, Sims.

Which would you guys prefer?
