"And I suppose you want to put a stop to it?" Cehan sighed, "Well, I can't tell you anything about it or what they're planning, so bringing me here is just a waste of your time, sir. Unless there's something else you want?"

Churkan made sure that the Salarian tried nothing but one doesn't really have much chance of surviving if a C-sec Krogan cop behind you. "And it would be a distraction. One that would be a waste of time and send a message of, hey we're watching but attack something bigger, like a club." He told the Salarian whilst inspecting his claymore. "I'm owed a few at one of the local dives so i'm sure i can convince them to give you a bottle or two." He informed the Krogan before Tharen showed them a planet.

"It just had to be Terminus." He uttered with hatred in his voice as he remembered the many betrayals he had suffered over credits, paranoia and once, a fabricated reason involving a Lusty Elcor, A Quarian and the council. "They're ruthless [&@%!] and will get the job done even if they had to blow up the planet. But they are cowards if they pick on someone who can fight back." He told everyone in the room.

"Well, if you just wanted to hear our accounts, we would be giving them to you. Or if you suspected any of us, we'd be...being 'interviewed'. So you want our help. If we're ready and willing, good. If we're hesitant, you'll offer reward. And if we're unwilling...well, we'll probably be having one long 'interview', right?"

He stepped over to the snacks and devoured something that vaguely resembled fish. "So we can skip your cop drama and tell us where to start."

"Or he doesn't trust anyone apart from us and believes we can tear the [&@%!] in half." Churkan told the Krogan but did not join in with the food eating. He knew how easy it would be to poison everyone and if there was a rat inside of C-sec, it could easily take out all of them with one foul hand.

Calor looked at Drau Broktar and followed up on his comment. "Directly: What he said. Clearly you want us for a reason and it isn't just to ask us about the shuttle attack." said Calor.

Tharen smiled (or made a facial movement that was the Turian equivalent). "You all seemed to have picked up on things quickly. I've read up on some dossiers on the shuttle ride here, and I think you all can help me with this investigation. I've got two jobs that need doing and I can only focus on one or the other. I'm asking for your help."

"Then you know that when i'm unleashed, i get the job done and a lot of criminal scum end up dead." Churkan said to Thuran.

Cehan's blood turned to ice as Tharen confirmed his fears, and he began to panic, blurting out, "L-l-like I said, t-there's nothing I can help you with. I'm just a g-glorified errand boy, I can't do anything, I can't help you stop them, and I'm n-not sure I want to..."

"Let me put it this way, you will help to stop the [&@%!] from conquering the citadel or i will decide to focus my time on why you are here, Eclipse." Churkan told the Salarian whilst flexing his fists. "And believe me, i do not hold back on eclipse scum that have murdered my citizens."

"You said you believed me, then you said you thought I did it, then you believed me again, and NOW you're accusing ME of mass murder!" Cehan demanded shrilly, "Make up your mind!"

"Not mass murder unless Eclipse is planning something and have [&@%!] all to do with Aria!" Churkan told the Salarian. "I mean that Eclipse has no legal business being on my citadel and every time i deal with them, it usually is after they've killed a citizen. Dumbass." The krogan told the Eclipse as he fought the urge to headbutt him.

Drau Broktar shook his head vigorously in despair. "By my ancestors, you are the dumbest member of our species I have ever met--except for maybe that one...--but being the second dumbest Krogan I've ever met...that's saying a hell of a lot."

Broktar gently (and especially gently, even for a Krogan) picked up Cehan with a biotic field, and gently set him back down beside him, on the opposite side from the deranged C-Sec officer. "You two leave eachother alone. I'm too tired of your [&@%!] to come up with a threat, so use your imagination."

He looked at Tharen. "What are the two jobs?"

After being lifted away by the biotics, Cehan's panic had been replaced by the thousand-yard stare of a child who's walked in on his grandparents having brutal, animalistic intercourse. Like that child, he remained silent.

"Thanks," he finally managed to whisper.

Broktar gained +2 Paragon
Cehan gained +1 Renegade
Hard gained +2 Renegade

Tharen squinted at Churkan. "Yes, brutal efficiency, if not recklessness. But, I can't discount your combat prowess, I suppose. But I'll ask you leave Mr. Cehan alone, please. And I will not ask again."

Once done scolding the Krogan, Tharen looked to Broktar. "The two jobs are thus; flushing out our detonator, or detonators, on the Citadel; and the liberation of Freya. Once both are these are done, we can see where to go from there."

Looking to Cehan lastly, Tharen nodded. "I'm not asking you to stay. I'm not demanding you help. But I can't guarantee C-Sec will let you just walk off the Citadel after what just happened. Regardless of what I think, you're a suspect. If you want to join one of these jobs and just bail, then that's fine. I can grant you immunity, but... not every officer is going to agree."

Broktar chuckled in reply to Tharen's stating of what 'might' happen if they didn't play ball. "Yeah, I knew you'd say that. But whether you did or didn't, I'm already in."

He took a long, hard look at the one who called himself Hard, and a brief look at the Elcor. "Flush out the detonators?" He looked at Tharen again. "Yeah, no, as soon as we set foot in the district, they'll be scared off by the rumbling weight of stupid and muscle. Freya's where we--or me, at least--will do our best."

The Krogan thought for another moment before speaking again. "No offense, spectre--you're good, but you're one guy. Liberating a planet is a better job for a group. Sniffing out these leads here on the Citadel...I get the sense that's where you're best placed, too."

"If you're referring to my tendecy to crash shuttles, it's not my fault. The damn scum never understand that a Krogan airdrop means stop." Churkan told Tharen with a smirk. "But i'll leave the damn suspect alone, however, if he is involved in the [&@%!] that Eclipse usually does, i will beat it out of him after i've bitten Aria's head out and fed her body to the Vorcha." He said to the Spectre. "I vote for liberation. It's been almost too long since i've had the chance to not hold back and those scum will regret the day that gained Hard's attention."

Calor had come to the Citadel looking for work, probably mercenary work, in the first place so he wasn't going to turn down the Spectre's offer. "Boldly: I'm fine with either job but I want to know what the pay is first." said Calor in a very direct manner.

Calor gained +2 Renegade.

"Straight to the point, I like it." Tharen mentioned in an aside to the Elcor. "Standard fee for enlisted help on a Spectre operation in 50,000 credits upon completion of the mission. In the event of death, funds can be willed towards a different recipient. I'm not going to lie, either operation is going to be dangerous."

Looking back to Broktar, the turian nodded. "I've seen my share of combat, believe it or not. Did a few years in the Cabal. Investigation or heavy combat, whichever situation you choose to forgo won't be outside of my skillset."

"Pay me up front. Spectre or not, i never accept jobs without recieving payment first." Churkan told Tharen. He had been screwed over in the past by those that didn't want to pay for his services after using him and he had always accidentally shot them in the face with his shotgun. Repeatly. Then, they would accidentally fall out of the window.

Broktar didn't even say anything in response to Churkan's demands, this time. The dumb of it spoke for itself. He did, however, reply to Tharen.

"A Spectre's combat skills are well and good, but they still can't fully make up for numbers, or a lack of, especially against an occupying force. A certain legendary former Spectre didn't, after all, save the galaxy all on his own. But regardless. Yeah. Heavy combat for us. Let's go be big goddamn heroes."

Cehan lowered his eyes and relented with resignation in his voice, "Fine, I'll help the Spectres if it'll keep C-Sec at bay. But I'm not a soldier or a spy, so I don't know what use I could be to you."

"A meat shield." Churkan joked after hearing the Salarian accept the job. "Or a distraction whilst i show you how a real warrior fights."

Cehan shivered, "D-do we have to take him? From what he's been saying, he'd fit r-right in with the Protheans."

"Yes as i'm a goddamn one man army." Churkan told the cowardly Salarian that must have descended from cowards, who in turn descended from more cowards. Or maybe, Churkan was a giant ass of a cop.

"I was referring to how they ate our-never mind." Cehan shrunk back into his seat, and for a moment, reflected back upon the Genophage with a fondness reserved for an old friend.
