Is it possible to create a series of pages to archive the lore relevant non-specific dialogue of each game? That is, for dialogue used by NPCs generally, not by one NPC in particular. As a user of the wiki, I generally disregard information that is cited to dialogue, unless it also links to a page containing the exact phrase being referenced. For character-specific dialogue, it's easy enough for article writers to trawl the export files and add the exact dialogue to the NPC's page, but afaik there's no page for the dialogue that isn't character specific. This is particularly important for Morrowind, which has a lot of recycled lore-relevant dialogue.

At some point someone was working on this. But there is so much dialogue it takes a while.

Does the page exist, or was it still in the planning phase? I'd be happy to work on it.

I honestly have no idea. If it does exist, it is in someone's sandbox.

May I request a Lore page for Soul Trap or Soul gems?

I've been meaning to write a soul gem article, but there's a ton of new info in ESO and it's a little tough to wrap your head around. For now, check out our article on souls.

Moon Axle, The Treasure Wood Sword, Horde Mountain, The Pocket Cabal, City-Face, Lie Rock, and GULGA MOR JIL all need articles. They, along with the Ruddy man, all were enemies that Vivec fought in the 36 Lessons of Vivec. I dont know how to create this article, so I request that someone else make them, or perhaps someone could teach me.

Lie Rock already has an article. I'm not sure how relevant the others are outside of the Sermons, especially since a lot of the concepts from those books are just metaphysical ramblings of no actual consequence to the lore.

I didn't know Lie Rock was referring to Baar Dau. Neat

I notice that there are a lot of NPCs/People in Morrowind that do not have their own pages. Is there any effort being made to acquire images of these NPCs, list their stats/information, and provide a short description for them? I am pretty sure every NPC/Person in Oblivion and Skyrim has a page devoted to them.

As Morrowind features a lot named NPCs, it was decided at that time that all NPCs that don't bear any real relevance (Quest involvement, Services, unique Dialogue) will be made Non-Relevant NPCs. They only get their basic stats displayed at their relative place page and a redirect to that page. I don't think that we need to change anything about it, as there are a lot of NPCs that just serve as "generic" townsfolk or enemies. It would be a huge effort with very little gain, especially since there are so many of them (1,324 without those added by Tribunal and Bloodmoon). If you think different, feel free to propose it on the Community Portal.

I believe that the UESP would benefit from having articles covering the development of the Elder Scrolls as a series and the development of the individual games within the series, similar to such articles on doomwiki.org as Development of Doom and Artwork of Doom. There is a lot of development info available in various interviews, message board postings, FAQs regarding in-development games, etc. and it would be useful to have it presented in one place. And who knows what else is floating out there?

For instance, I recently found a painting created in 1996 by long-time D&D illustrator Clyde Caldwell for a Bethesda game known as "Tribunal":

When I asked the knowledgeable bunch at r/teslore what to make of this, they referred to a variety of sources to explain Morrowind's astonishingly long development time, it original Sumurset Isles setting, etc. It would be nice if the UESP preserved this kind of development history.

Sounds like a good idea for the General namespace. We've preserved various web archives and developer interviews, but having our own articles on TES development wouldn't hurt.

I propose lorespace pages on family names, if the name is used by more than one character in the series, as discussed bey briefly in this

I'm not sure there's too much to write about most families, and unless they're historically relevant they don't really belong in lorespace. We have pages for important dynasties like Tharn, Hlaalu, Dres, Motierre, Septim, etc, but the prevalence of particular generic Dunmer names is already sufficiently documented here.

Hey I would enjoy more articles about some of the more obscure Arena lore. Like the different churches and their gods like the conclave of Baal, and the conclave of Seth. Also who was Agamanus from the Temple of Agamanus? Would be cool if they had some short articles, atleast that they might of been gods once worshiped in the age of Arena, but their following decline after that.

In general I enjoy reading about obscure TES lore, so would enjoy more of these.

A lot of what's in Arena is not supported by future lore, so it's hard to determine what more you can add to some of those. Seth is a good example, often being assumed to be the Arena version of Sithis. Going back and bringing old game spaces up to standard is an ongoing project though, one that is going quite well for Daggerfall right now. Will look into seeing what we can do for Arena, I already knew we could add a few more things.

Yeah that is understandable for sure, alot of it has not reapeared in other games, and the stuff that does you have covered (like Labyrinthian). Sounds good tough. I was thinking if Bal and Seth are just alternate names for other deities/daedric princes. Seth/Sithis that makes sence. Maybe Baal is the alternate for Molag Bal? And the one Prophet could be Talos.

Either way thanks for the info, you guys are doing a great job. :D

I think a page covering differences between Arena lore and later game lore would be worthwhile. It would be a lore equivalent to those "Differences between TES X and TES Y" pages, which are very useful. In general, as I've said before, I think articles covering the development of the individual games as well as articles about the overall evolution of the series would bring some much-needed context to discussions about the series as a whole.

I'd like to request a page on the concept of "Aspects." Aspects of Daedra/Aedra, etc. How they work/function in the different games, examples of them and quests that involve them, all of that sort of thing.
