I am playing the Dragonborn DLC Main Quest and at the point where I have to read the Black Book Waking Dreams to initiate the final confrontation with Miraak. I trigger the black book and it stops because it thinks I am in combat. There is a very faint red dot on my HUD but it is located beyond the borders of the island. How can I reset this combat status without scraping all my progress?

Try fast traveling, waiting/resting for 1 hour, or, on PC, use `player.stopcombat` in the console. You can also leave Solstheim and return or use a shout like Unrelenting Force to try resetting the combat status.
