So I'm not sure where this should be on the forum, but this seems like a likely place. I've been playing Skyrim with many mods (Legendary Edition, not Special Edition) and I've encountered a strange problem; the game crashes to desktop whenever I save. I can play the game perfectly fine, there isn't much lag or stuttering. I can access the menu just fine, press save and it brings up my saves. Whenever I try and overwrite a save or make a new save the game just crashes. I've tried reloading an older save but that doesn't work either. I'm not sure about whether this happens for autosaves but I suspect it does and the game has just crashed in the same way when I tried to enter Jorrvaskr before. It's done it once before but when I played the next day it was back to normal. Now it has started again. Does anyone know anything about this? Anyone encountered it before or even solved the issue?
