When I open doors, objects that are around spaz out and fly around everywhere.

I'm using a 144hz monitor. I tried turning Vsync on and enabling Vsync first in the ini file then in the prefs file, nothing fixes it.

I know the problem is caused by object physics not being able to handle more than 60 fps.

Halp pls.

Have you tried disabling V-sync in Skyrim, and enabling it in the Nvidia Control Panel?

I'll try right now, thanks for responding btw. I really appreciate it.

Still objects flying around when I open/close doors. I hear the sounds and the person sleeping in the room ended up with a basket on their head.

Is there a Display Settings area on your computer? You might try seeing if you can set the refresh rate itself to 60.

If that doesn't work, there's a mod here that might do the trick, but I've never tried it.

If set my monitor to 60 hz, do you think that would fix the problem?

If yes then should I still have Vsync on in Skyrim settings + Nvidia settings? Both, one or the other or none at all?

As long as V-sync is working, setting the monitor to 60Hz should work... I think.

I'd try just Nvidia settings first, if that doesn't work try just Skyrim settings. If those don't work, try turning both of them on at the same time.

Setting monitor to 60 hz -> turning on Vsync through Nvidia control panel -> turning Vync off in Skyrimprefs

This seemed to fix the problem, so far so good! Thank you so much for your help. It means a lot, I can finally enjoy the game instead of stressing about this problem.
