Now it says on the page that poison damage should be negated.
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Spell_Absorption"permanent 100% spell absorption, thus becoming immune to all spells affected by Spell Absorption"
"Interestingly, Magic Absorption works not only with spells but also with every effect in the game that is not the following..." "...Therefore it is possible for Magic Absorption to negate effects of shouts, poison..."
My platform is X360, patch version 1.9.31.0.8
My supposed 100% Spell Absorption setup involves
Miraaks Robe
Miraaks Boots,
Atronach Perk from Alteration (I've noticed it doesn't appear to show up in Active Effects, when Resist Magic Perk shows up as "Greater Magic Resistance?")
Atronach Stone
This should be 100% Spell Absorption.
My initial testing involved taking Lydia's steel sword and giving it back poisoned with a Jarrin Root+Human Heart potion (around 6400 poison damage). This just killed me every time after I punched her on purpose to get her to hit me. Trying it with a 'normal' ~100 damage poison showed my Snakeblood was partially resisting it as expected, and boosting my Poison Resist to the 85%(?) cap seemed to allow me to just survive 1 hit of the Jarrin Root poison (over 1k life).
However the Spell Absorption is not kicking in at all vs the poison, I've tried adding in Miraak's Gloves too, but nothing seems to help, or have there have been changes between patches that poison always bypasses Spell Absorption?
Anyone offer any advice or observations as to what may be missing or messed up?
Thanks.
