We've all just gotten Skyrim, we're excited! Instead of posting small questions about the game individually, try posting them here for the community to answer.

People posting here are just playing on console, right?

Is the countdown of http://skyrim2011.info/ for the steam lock accurate?

To my knowledge, CX, that is accurate. I think Steam goes by Bethesda time, which is EST (GMT -4), and it's only Thursday here still. Perhaps one of our members who uses Steam in a timezone ahead of us can confirm this?

Cannot wait to play on the PC, since I just had to switch from a 40" LED 100 hz screen to a 24" 60 hz LCD screen, I cannot wait to get some high resolutions and ULTRA settings on - the game is going to be effin awesome.
Oh btw - if any of you played on the xbox and want to play on PC with your character go here.

I have an HDTV. Is Skyrim's maximum screen resolution on the PS3 720p or 1080p?

"The wrath of Alduin has been released upon Skyrim!"

As always, steam is late.

How do you favorite items? F seems to do nothing for me.

How do you pick up books when reading them? E doesn't pick it up for me. Nor is E even binded. I use Mouse5 to pick up stuff, but it doesn't work.

People in Australia and New Zealand should already have had it all day... and anybody else who spoofed an Oz/NZ IP to fool Steam :)

The unlock time is by region.

I'm not one of those btw! I still have half an hour *quiver*

Hey guys, remember to save this thread for questions! Discussions can go in our general subforum. Posts that aren't questions will get deleted to save some room and clear the clutter.

Sorry for double post, I'm used to a message being uneditable after a while.

In addition to these questions, is there a way to edit some .ini file in order to increase the sensitivity past the maximum? I'm on max and still it feels too slow.

Yes, there are spells that shoot fireballs. Buy them off someone who sells spells. :)

I think this article might be able to help you! In the next few hours we'll see a lot of great information from the PC players who are into this. It never takes them long.

I can answer that. I think it was Howard who said you couldn't alter your appearance.

Did anyone get the favorites working yet? I would like to alternate quickly between spells, but constantly hopping to my spells gets annoying.

There's a bug that the 'Activate' can be bound to extra mouse buttons, and works fine with everything, except when picking up a book.

Favorites lets you put items/spells/anything in the list to access w/o going in your menus (well it's a menu itself, but not a seperate screen). INSIDE the favorite menu you designate 2 diff items/spells/whatever to your quickslots. Keep in mind, using a quickslot key equips the item but doesn't really work for dual-equipping afaik. To do that, dual-equip the spell/weapon within the menu itself.

My question: How long between area/location resets? I forget what it's called, but when the specific area (there's a term for this) resets, with new items/enemies (there's a term for that too). Also, how far away do you have to be for resets to occur: in a dungeon/interior location, versus an outside area.

I know it's 72 hours in Oblivion, but is it the same here? (I'm assuming 'clearing' a dungeon doesn't mean they won't ever respawn)

On PS3 you can equip to a particular hand in the favorites list by hittin L1 or R1. Go to the same spell or weapon and hit them both: boom, dual wield from favorites.

I looked at the wiki, and they don't seem to have a list for the Daedric quests. (Not to mention the fact it won't load. :P)

Do you know where I might find Sheogorath's quest?

EDIT: Alright, I hit the quote button on accident.

Took me a while to figure this out...Before you open the book with your activation key for reading, hold down the E key. While holding down the E key press your activate key once to open it up to read and then a second time to take the book. I think its bugged but thats how you do it.

Yes, I knew what the Favorites menu did. But I can't get items inside of the menu. I keep spamming 'F' in the menu, even though it's binded nowhere. The default 'C' doesn't work either.

For a fence, I usually wait 2 days before reselling. I don't know if this is connected or not.

I once cleared a bridge, which was then marked as 'cleared' on the map. Next time I fast travel, all enemies are back. There was at least a week between that, probably even more. So it's less than a week for certain.
