At the Summit of Apocrypha

I'm having trouble completing the quest, "At the Summit of Apocrypha". I've gotten all 3 words and unlocked my "Bend Will" shout, and my quest log says to Read "Waking Dreams", and that I now have what I need to return to Apocrypha and face Miraak. When I read "Waking Dreams" nothing happens. I even went back into the Temple of Miraak to the room where I got the Black Book and met Miraak for the first time and read it there, and still nothing happens. The only way I can return to Apocrypha is by reading the other Black Book: Epistolary Acumen, but this takes me to Chapter IV. I don't see any way to proceed and fight Miraak. What am I missing?

I was under the impression you receive the third word while inside Apocrypha already.
If you managed to get it otherwise... I dunno. The game isn't gonna run properly if you don't do things the way they're programmed.

Thank you to Virtual Weasel for responding to my question, and I don't know what I may have done out of order. I was sent to ask Storn, the Skaal shaman, if he would give Hermaeus Mora the knowledge the demon sought, and Storn agreed to do this. He then walked outside of his house and yielded to Hermaeus Mora who then killed him and gave me the 3rd word right there in the Skaal village. That's when my quest journal updated and said, "I now have what I need to return to Apocrypha and face Miraak." Then under the Objectives below in the journal it says: <> Read "Waking Dreams" ... nothing more. I opened the book but nothing happens. For the life of me I can't figure out what to do next. It may be the quest is fatally bugged for me <sigh>.

I always liked how he gave you the word.(Engraved right on Storn's body)

Anyway, I have never had this bug, but you might have to use a previous save. Some bugs are quest breaking.

Yikes, I'm confused.
I remember getting the third word as I was being attacked by Sahrotaar.

That was Dragon Aspect. The third word for Bend Will is engraved on Storn's body. It's the glowing green part.

Well, thank you all for responding. Think I'm just going to have to let this one go. Have done too much to go back and use an earlier save. Although at some point I just might decide to do that... for now I'll just move on. Will keep checking back here from time to time to see if anyone else has had this problem and can tell me how to get to Apocrypha and fight Miraak... but am not holding my breath. Anyway, thanks again!

Okay... UPDATE TIME: I just watched my partner go through this quest line and now I see what I did wrong. I inadvertently took back the Black Book: Epistolary Acumen from the body of the Skaal shaman, Storn, after Hermaeus Mora killed him, thinking I would still need it. Then when I tried to read the Black Book: Waking Dreams as the quest asked me to do, it won't take me to Apocrypha, just does nothing. Somehow having Epistolary Acumen in my inventory is stopping me from proceeding the quest. I've tried dropping the book but it says I can't remove a quest item from my inventory. Does anyone know the ObjectID for that Black Book: Epistolary Acumen? I'd like to try using the "removeitem" console script to drop it. Any info appreciated!

Replace XX with the number for Dragonborn DLC in your load order.
