I'm gonna go with the Falmer too! Also, i hope the DLC adds another weapon sheath for the weapon in the left hand. Kinda weird how it justs disappears into thin air once your weapons are sheathed.

That would be really nice as well as staffs not disapperaing.

I think the fact that 'Snow Prince' dialogue has been uncovered makes the Falmer the most likely main feature in the DLC.

Not necessarily. As someone else mentioned, he may simply be mentioned in a historical context by another character.

The modern falmer are the degenerate descendants of the original snow-elves. They are unlikely to be the protagonists in any well-organised war. Of course, it may well be that the true-bred descendants of the original snow-elves still exist in hiding somewhere, maybe in a deep and secret underground world similar to Blackreach, preparing for that day of glory when they launch their invasion of the surface world to reconquer Skyrim.

Having said all that, my money is still on Dawnguard being a Crusade against the Vampire Princes by the Paladins of Meridia. So there.

The falmer were able to wage war against the Dwemer despite being mutated.

They won the War of the Crag because the Dwemer disappeared though, so one can't exactly draw conclusions from the outcome fo the war with regards to the Falmer's ability to coordinate a war effort, or to win large scale conflicts. We know little about the war, and for all we know it may have been a prolonged series of minor skirmishes and raids between the two races, as opposed to a full scale war.

Being able to fight the Dwemer for as long as they did shows that they had to have at least some coordination.

But we don't know what exactly the fighting encompassed. I mean, it may only have been so prolonged because there was no major battle, and certainly I don't believe there is record of a major battle, where the two sides met in large numbers. It may have been a less direct war. Maybe, we can;t be sure of course.

Not necessarily. As someone else mentioned, he may simply be mentioned in a historical context by another character.

But it specifically refers to the Snow Prince as having dialogue and the Snow Prince actually moving, not just someone talking about him;

The last animation is the most promising.
It seems to predict some sort of Ascension, so maybe the Falmer have found a way to "recover" from their rotten existance. (Through Incineration?^^)
One way could be that they get "help" from a daedric prince like Azura changed the Chimer or the Creation of the Orsimer took place. But all are just assumption currently based on some mined data.

It's debatable as to how mutated they were at the time. The Dwemer disappeared about 1500-1600 years after the Battle of the Moesring, and Skyrim takes place 3800+ years after their disappearance. When the uprising against the Dwemer started the Falmer were already blind, but were probably still recognizable as elves, with much of their degeneration happening in the following millennia.

Wow. That would be great!

And on a completely unlikely note (as in, it will never happen), how awesome would it be to restore the Falmer to their former glory then be able to have them as a playable race?! One can dream.

I think the ascension thing is a personal thing for the Snow Elf Prince, and not for his entire race.

I am sad though because it will most likely not be Amaranth or the scarab that transforms into the new man.

I really want to see the 6th walking way in Skyrim's DLC.

What if Meridia's at it (AGAIN) and forged an alliance with an 'evil' Elven race? -____-

I don't think Bethesda have decided yet if Meridia is a 'bad' or a 'good' Daedra lol.

Except that would contradict the existence of Falmer and their role in various vanilla game quests, which is something good DLC should never do.

If Dawnguard involves the falmer I think I might die. They intrigue me so much, I want to know what they were like beofre the corruption, is there a cure for their blindness and mutations and who is the Snow Prince. They are just so interesting.

The Ascension Burning file may be related to vampires. I personally think that's unlikely but vampires are susceptable to fire (a.k.a burning). To cure the whole race, the Snow Prince could sacrifice himself in the name of Meridia. and in return she will cure his race. Or he could simply forge an alliance with her, vowing to destroy all undead or something of the likes.

It could set the Falmer as the enemy not allies as well. A full scale invasion could take place. Jarls killed, Stormcloaks crippled, Imperial Legion crushed. The only hope left is the Dragonborn but he is too weak. He must gain more power. So with the help of Esbern or Parthurnaax he discovers an ancient power, maybe even making his own shouts, and finally has the power to defeat them. This could explain the glowing eyes.He faces the Snow Prince one on one and defeats him, with the last semi intelligent Falmer gone, they are leaderless and scatter, leaving Skyrim to recover.

Whatever it is, if it involes Falmer it will no doubt be epic.

The thing everyone needs to keep in mind is that, unless the DLC is an expansion of a certain quest line(s), it won't alter things as they exist in the game now.

Barring level requirements, the DLCs have usually been set up so that you can play that at any time.

It will most likely be like shivering Isles, nothing you do affects the base game, except Sheogorath's dialog changing during his quest.

Apparently some NEW Dawngaurd stuff was added in the newest patch

http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/137611 ... ry20824846

Animations of crossbows now moved to folder DLC01.
Mounted combat with crossbows.
At least one type of crossbows will be unique with unique animation - Dwarven.
Child Crying.
New dialogue gestures:
Defensive Hand;
Hand on Chin;
Welcome Hand.
Coffin Puzzle.
Reading of the Elder Scroll.
Animation from the trailer of Dawnguard.
Scraping tree bark.
Transformation in a Vampire Lord!
Vampire Lord's kill moves.
"Serana holds Vyrthur". Of course Serana and Vyrthur are in-game NPC's (or something like that), but I have not found any mentions of these names in TES Lore.
Snow Elf Prince ascension burning.
Pour water in a way shrine.
Scooping water in a way shrine.

Also, here is the full list of the DLC entries:

Oh... Ohhhh... Ohhhhhhhhhh...

Thank you so much. An innovative way of doing it, my friend!

Imma twang my way across Skyrim, oh yes. I wonder how the archey perks will work? Because, if K draw a crossbow in less than a second I'm going to go googly-eyed.

If it's Falmer related I suspect something like
Spoiler:
The Eye of Magnus/Psijic Order

will be involved?

GOD, YES! I WANT MORE OF THE PSIJICS!

I also think that "Serana holds Vyrthur" could be some kind of place? Like, a jail? Or Vythur is maybe an element of some sort?
