I've read about people saying their saves are getting too big and I'm afraid that's starting to happen to me; Alarra's getting a little bit more laggy than normal, especially in dungeons. Highpoint Tower was the worst so far. My save is now at 16.4 MB. Hope nothing goes wrong with it before I finish the DLC. I've been periodically making copies just in case.

Eh, I don't think you have too much to worry about. Anika's saves are in that range as well, and the only places she has trouble are Riverwood and, now, Lakeview Manor (which is mildly irritating, to put it lightly).

Anyway, topic: I spent the entire day (before and after work) preparing Anika to
Spoiler:
fight Karstaag. Power-leveled enchanting to 100, stocked up on enchanting/smithing potions as well as regeneration and health potions, the whole nine yards. Went in there with 700-something health, pretty much full immunity to frost damage, Serana, and her trusty dwarven sphere... Came out victorious! It was a difficult fight on expert; I'd hate to imagine it on master. One thing I do know: Dragon Aspect is a godsend. Stacking that with the secret of protection power you get from one of the Black Books (30 seconds of half damage) took a lot of the pain out of the fight.

Anyway, that fight took a lot out of Anika, so she decided she needs to take a little break and spend some time with the husband and kids... And Lydia, Meeko, and the bard whose name I can never remember...

Kolbjorn Barrow, WOW.

Lieth and her new buddy Talvas were in for the ride of their lives on the last leg of this quest. Let's just say that their survival was a shock even to me. They did a lot of running and a lot of hiding but it got the job done. With 2 mage characters already, its a challenge not using magic with this one. A bow and a sword is all she uses but had she used her sword, she wouldn't have lived to see the light of day. There's just one huge thing that really upset her about this quest and those of you who have done it will probably know what it is.

Anyway, such a traumatic event was worthy of a much needed break with family. Lieth decided that Talvas needed to visit Skyrim for a while, so they're currently in Riften enjoying resting at Honeyside.

I also had Felina finish Kolbjorn Barrow but she died once through the last part. Goodness...that was...I'm glad its over.

that is harsh. I let him serve his time as a follower and took his enchanted pickax as some sort compensation for screwing with me. He wasn't really in his right mind at the time so I had to give him that.

Harsh? You can't be serious. He literally took money away from Felina and Lieth's children. Come now, let's be reasonable.

EDIT:
Spoiler:
He killed all those miners. He was a murdering S.O.B.

You're forgetting that Alessia is so [&@%!] rich that she sleeps in piles of gold while hugging enchanted ebony cuirasses she find in dungeons. Also, if you read his journals, he was being driven insane by Ahzidal's influence.

Both of my characters were driven crazy by his thievery. Felina is a spendy-spendy and she never saves. So she's always broke...and that was a hefty hit to her finances.

Actually, Ralis never steals anything from you, he simply asks for the funding, whether you provide it is on you. And besides, Leith is a pickpocket is she not? That might be a little ironic.....

Haha you caught on! ;) No one steals from a thief. That was truly her only murder, if you can call it that. Everyone else she has killed posed a threat to her in some way. She couldn't control her rage on that one. And Felina? We know she's cold as ice so that shouldn't surprise you there. We'll see how Sylmirie handles that quest.

Eltee, you let him live? Seriously, did anyone feel bad for the innocent slaughtered? You're going to tell me that the Mistress of the Night Mother actually had a humanizing moment? ;)

And then I had to play FM4...

I felt bad for the innocent he slaughtered, but I just poured that much more rage into slicing the living (or unliving) hell out of Ahzidal.

I didn't see paying him for the excavation as being thievery, seeing as Ahzidal's boots ROCK and there was obvious progress being made.

And... I felt bad for him.

I had less pity and more disdain. At least my dunmer merc did. But as a pack mule he proved useful so I kept him around to carry my extra loads of shiny new loot.

Let me tell you, his story wouldn't hold in a court of law. My characters only did what any guards would have done anyway. What was really sad was
Spoiler:
the note you find on one of the miners to her mother.
In the end, that's what clenched the Dunmer's fate with both of my characters, since they both have daughters.

Well, with Felina it was more the money matter.

PS: None of my characters wear heavy armor but that ring of necromancy will be treasured by my assassin forever.

I don't wear heavy armour either... Then again, I never specialized, and water walking!!!

Ugh, the letter... :(

What I kept thinking about was Biene Amelion in Obivion. I thought back to how I had felt after I killed all the whole settlement, thinking they were goblins, while I was drugged up. And how horrible I felt after. And I projected that onto him.

You know what's really fun? Killing Falmer with "Conjure Seeker". My mage is enjoying that spell quite a lot. :Twisted Evil:

Falmer are vile creatures and deserve no mercy, regardless of what Gelebor says. They smell bad, look horrific, have nothing but hate, and breed chaurus. Every blade stroke that carves falmer flesh is a stroke for the greater good.

I went through the last few remaining dungeons with Vulom, then decided to finally get around to the main quest for Dragonborn.
Didn't take long for me to finish my last dungeon dives, but in that time, I fought and killed something like 8 Dragons. I think the soul ratio between myself and Miraak was 5:3, Vulom:Miraak. Four of those Dragons were fought at once (Serpentine Dragon, Arctic Dragon, Magma Dragon, Wyrm) between Castle Karstaag and Saering's Watch.

Right now I'm just about to speak to Storn. Vulom is ready to take down Miraak and claim his soul (and the souls that he stole from her) for her own.
And then she'll probably do some work for Neloth until her save is gone. Sitting at 17MB right now and still increasing.

Completed the Dragonborn main quest with Vulom today.
Then I just wandered around and did random side quests and stuff like that.

Vulom became Chief of Thirsk Hall (it's more fun to side with the Rieklings), found a new Steward for Neloth, examined a Briarheart for Neloth, took down Ildari Sarothil, sold Neloth a Heart Stone, let Neloth test a spell on me, read the Black Book that's in Tel Mithryn, rescued Baldor and got his Stalhrim Source map back from the Thalmor, and... Maybe a few more things. I can't really remember.

Oh, Mauin...I didn't know one could be leader of Thirsk Hall. Spoilers....sigh. But I forgive you. ;)

After a long break with family, Sylmirie and Onmund headed back out into the big bad adventuring world. After finishing off some college business and getting a makeover, Sylmirie decided it was time to return to Tel Mithryn and share some magickal knowledge with Neloth. She is Arch-Mage of Winterhold, after all.

Not that he cared.

His sarcastic and bossy demeanor left this Altmer with a perma-scowl on her sweet face. How dare he boss her around like a servant? She's Dohvakiin, the most powerful woman walking the face of Tamriel and she deserves much more respect than "do this and that". Still, Sylmirie agreed to help Neloth because one day she'll most likely be able to show off her magickal powers and prove she's a better mage than he. Of course, he does have more experience than her, but the point is she likes to prove she's better than everyone all the time.

So we'll see how staying at Tel Mithryn works for Sylmirie. In the meantime, she's enjoying her new "do" immensely. She tired of being a platinum blonde and decided to go for something a bit more serious. She looks like a librarian now. Way to go, Sylmirie:

I ended up not being able to do this quest because the guy who gives it decided it would be a good idea to run in front of my sword while I was fighting the lurker at the Wind Stone; protected status doesn't help when I do more than twice his health in a single hit. And then Serana turned him into a zombie, so I couldn't resurrect him afterwards due to him being a pile of ashes... But I forced the subsequent quest with the console, so it all worked out.
