At the moment my ranger is wearing the vampire armor (dark grey) with blackguard boots, gauntlets, and hood in the warmer areas, and the long sleeved fur with stormcloak officer boots and gauntlets in the colder areas.
My dragonborn character tried on the nordic carved armor with the stormcloak officer helm-bear head, and fell in love with the look immediately.
Not at all impressed with the higher level armors.

I dislike glass armour -- it looks too futuristic to me -- it's a plexiglass face shield and a jetpack away from launch time. The same for Stalhrim (sp) -- it's way too flashy for my tastes. It's the disco outfit of armours.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who digs the fur armour tho -- it just looks like what a wood-elf would be trapesing around the back woods in.

Also -- it seems odd to me that in the frozen north so many armour designs would be skirt-based. hide/leather/studded/scaled/legion.... jeez my legs are freezing bro!

Try wearing a full kilt in the winter sometime , you'd be suprised how warm you stay, besides southern Ontario is barely considered Canada, bro!

Nords don't feel the cold anyways. As for legion style armor, isn't from skyrim at all.

You'd think the imperials would have some winterized armor for their troops though, unless they live in bruma they probably aren't used to the cold :(

You could say the same about the completely absent cavalry divisions and the the fact you know a Penitus Oculatus when you see one. Realistically, the espionage agency of the empire really shouldn't advertise that they're spies.

Just goes to show you how much easier others can do it :wat: "looks at vampires, Mythic Dawn, Thalmor.. and just about every threat to the Empire"

OT, Guild Master's Armor is ironically one of my favorite faction related gear ^_^ it's black, it's leather.. and it has style :sweetroll:
With all honesty, the leather set was a disappointment, so in truth I kind of wished this was it's replacement

The Daedric set, or the glass set.

I am still embarrassed to say I have never used the Dragon Armor.

I like the Ebony set when it includes the Ebony Mail. My Dunmer also had the Ebony Blade and it made for a cool look. I also am really quite fond of the Glass and Gilded Elven designs. My Nord wore his Scaled armor the longest. It had a really cool Nordic warrior feel to it. I'm also a big fan of Steel Plate overall. My Breton knight favors it.

Gilded Elven... If I'm not mistaken, does it not look any different than the normal? Granted mods and re-textures could change all that, but I only knew the light variant was different :/

My favourite armours on men are Nordic Carved Armour (on big Nords), Dawnguard, and Stalhrim. I dislike the helmets of both Light and Heavy Stalhrim, but that's fine since my character who wears Stalhrim also wears a circlet.

I like Elven armour on women, particularly female elves (e.g. Jenassa, who is my usual follower). Even though Glass armour is horribly bright, it suits some female characters very well. I've never taken a female character to Solstheim, so I'm not sure how Stalhrim would look on them - I know there are pictures on the wiki, but only with one race. It definitely makes a difference how big your character is.

UESPeepz? ...I may have to use that one day.

For my light-armor characters, it's all about the Elven Armor. The lines, the curves, the flow. It's a beautiful piece of armor. And it weighs next to nothing!

For my heavy-armor characters, the Ebony Armor. If I need to say why, you've obviously never seen the Ebony Armor.

But above both of those, I LOVE the Nordic Armor. Especially on a Nord. Thankfully one of my PC mods lets me make it without worrying about a heavy/light armor path!

Azhidal's/Ancient Nord - [Female]

Wedding dress - [Male]

Nightingale Gauntlets

Falmer [Normal] and [Heavy/Hardened]

I'm sick of wearing my light Stalhrim set now, replaced it for Penitus Oculatus ;)

The cultist set is my favorite, although I use bonemold gauntlets and boots over of the standard ones to reach a higher armor rating.

Vanilla, I like the Nightingale and Thieves' armors, and the fur armor. Especially for my main character, who doesn't like the fancy stuff - she just wants what'll keep her warm, mostly.

Mods, I like the mercenary armor from Immersive Armors.

Miraak (Mask)
Dwarven armour (chest)
and either Miraak's boots for top heavy warrior look, or Dwarven boots for a heavy golden look.

I have to say that I want to like the Blades armor more than I do... it looks like a body suit.

My favorite armor depends on the role of my character. Ebony Mail is my favorite look but don't wear it because the black mist is blinding when trying to line up a bow shot. Nightengale is good for some characters, as is Daedric. Glass has good look but I don't like the astronaut look. Hide and fur are a good fit for many of my characters. I have a preference for iron gauntlets, ragged boots and the dragon plate helm and will gravitate to them when it fits my character/role.
