Would it be okay if i posted characters for other people to use or would that be frowned upon by the ancient god of Switiness and the god of Music? As i keep coming up with characters that i have no intention of using.

Pretty sure alot of people had no intent on playing some characters. With me? I got one main character and a small group of companions with lore friendly stories, despite me not posting about them>_>

Race: Nord
class: Warrior/Sneak
Apparel: Nordic carved armor
Weapon: Dragonbone bow, sword, dagger
factions: The Companions, Dawnguard, Stormcloaks, House Redoran.

Life: A role model nord. After defeating "The world eater" and wiping out the "Thalmor puppets" he was recognised as the greatest warrior in skyrim . He became the harbringer of the companions aswell as helping the dawnguard destroy Haarkon and the Volkihar vampires. He despices the deadra, but also see them as essential to the universe in order to keep humans from falling into temptation. Borthir traveled to solstheim to defeated the dragonborn traitor Miraak and put raven rock back on the buisness map. He still leads the companions to this day, but he has also created a family in Whiterun, living with his wife Ysolda, kids Blaise and Lucia and last but not least their loyal dog Meeko. It is said that Arngeir once called borthir the truest Dovakhiin since old Tiber Seprim himself.

PS. Borthir whent trough the whole main quest only in the traditional Dovakhiin armor and dual wielding a steel sword and dagger. He didnt change his apperal before the Skaal offered him their nordic carved armor as a gift of gratitude.

Name: Mattis Rendmist
Race: Nord
Age: 28
Class: Warrior

He was born in Skyrim, though his parents moved to Cyrodiil for hope of escaping the harsh living conditions found throughout Skyrim. His father was a warrior-turned-scholar (And who nevertheless taught his son the combat arts) and his mother, a blacksmith. She taught her son all she knew of smithing with great pride. Personally, the family never thought much about the supposed ascendance to divinity of Talos, or people's subsequent worship of him, but Nord roots run deep, making them sympathizers to the rebellion. Mattis always had a natural curiosity about his home continent, which led him to make a few expeditions North over the Gerall Moutains to see the landscape. He never ventured downward and into any civilization, however, uncomfortable with the idea finding himself as a stranger stumbling about in a world different and possibly indifferent to him and his ways. It was during one of these expeditions that he encountered Imperials not far from where they had captured Ulfric Stormcloak. Clearly a Nord, they suspected him as a spy for the rebellion. Why else would a lone Nord be so far South in Skyrim, away from any trade routes or any known settlements, and near where Ulfric himself had been captured?

After learning of his being Dragonborn, Mattis quickly took a keen interest in any books and knowledge related to Dragons. In his adventures through Skyrim, Mattis maintained a high moral code, rarely looting the bodies of the dead and helping people when they needed help, but always taking the time to satisfy his curiosities about Nord history by exploring Nordic Ruins. He never so much as cast even a single spell, held no interest in archery, and always made masterful use of his shield and sword.

Name: Alix Caria
Race: Breton
Age: 27
Class: Warmage (Destruction, One-Handed, Conjuration, Restoration, no armor or physical weapons)

A Breton mage from Daggerfall, Alix was the son of semi-prominent nobles, and at one point a student of the Mages' University. He had always been a bit of a thug— arrogant and aggressive, he had a reputation for fighting and drunken carousing, evading consequences only due to his family's wealth and status. During his time at the college he entered into a relationship with a dean's daughter. The two were oddly happy, and the focus of Alix's brawls and duels shifted from "entertainment" to defending the girl's honor against his classmates. When she became pregnant, however, things went badly. The girl's father reacted to the news violently. In his anger, a poorly-chosen spell struck the girl and caused a miscarriage. Alix retaliated, and the dean was killed in the ensuing fight. Alix survived, though he was deafened in his left ear. The college hushed up the story, but they expelled Alix. He was disowned shortly afterwards, and he left the Breton homeland after his former lover abandoned him due to fear.

He arrived in Skyrim at the height of the civil war planning to invest his considerable skill as a combat mage with the legion. At a bar in Whiterun, he ended up in a drunken brawl with a Legion soldier. He lost, but the soldier was killed by another member of the Legion. Alix was blamed for the murder and was sentenced to death. He escaped during the dragon attack by diving into the keep alongside a Stormcloak, Ralof. Furious at the Empire for his unjust imprisonment, Alix joined the Stormcloaks in their campaign, though his interest in their war began and ended with killing Imperial troops to satisfy his anger.

By the time of the Battle of Whiterun, however, he was surprised to find himself believing in the rebel's cause. He married a Nord woman, Ysolda, and took up residence in Windhelm. His closest friend was his housecarl Lydia, a Nord woman assigned to work alongside him after his promotion to Thane of Whiterun. After many adventures together, Lydia was killed by a dragon during a fight outside Kynesgrove, and Alix gave her an improvised, but heartfelt, burial in the nearby river. He took a leave of absence from the Stormcloaks to recover, but came back strong and angry. In his free time, he is completing his education at the Winterhold Mage's College.

***

Note- I don't roleplay Alix as being the Dragonborn. I did those main-plot quests, but I consider them "out-of-character". All three of my main characters that I've played through the game with are made for a fan fiction I'm working on, and only one is meant to be the Dragonborn. I'll post their stories later.

Also, he's deaf in the left ear because if you turn to the right during conversations in Skyrim, the dialogue volume sharply drops, and I wanted to rationalize that for myself.

EDIT: Jesus, that was a lot of commas. I've edited a few sentences for readability.

Saw this template thing going on so I thought I would give it a whirl.

Lacks in some areas where I would like better detail, but it is well enough.

I guess I will give this a try, but only a preview of my main character  I got a whole band that coexist and actually have complex stories to them. However characteristics are easy to do.. so long as I don't go in dept with their pasts. I need to sum up like 30 pages from my notebook if that's what I wanted>_> anyways here I go
Spoiler:
Name: Shovan
Known Titles: Dovahkiin, Dragon of The North, Alunont Nahlot, The Kind Hero, and many more
Race: Argonian
Homeland: Unknown, was found orphaned
Age: 27
~
Personality: Keen intelligence and heroic, yet shy by nature and quiet
Status: Currently wanders Tamriel in order to further his training and partake the path his now deceased guardian followed
Skills: A natural martial fighter and military tactician. Trained to hone swordsmanship, archery, magical arts, and stealth
*Has however learned to gain knowledge via enchantments used my his allies. Experienced gained from the lives of others.
Class: A blend of legionnaire, shaman, hunter, and a blend of unique arts
Mastery: Swordsmanship, archery, restoration, and stealth naturally
~
Gear of choice: -Vahzah Dovqah, dragonscale armor made from the remains of Mirmulnir
-Carries a dragonbone sword and bow of the same source
-Carries an assortment of arrows, many of which are specially enchanted
Artifacts: -Nahkriin
-Auriel's Bow
-Dawnbreaker
~
Likes: -peace, friends, nature, books, and bread
Dislikes: -War, famine, corruption, lies, and certain deities
Religion: Devout follower to The Way of The Voice and often sees Paarthurnax as his master and teacher
*Is renowned for having a silver-tongue. Those who have his respect will never see this, but those who live in cruelty only deserve cunning deceit

This is just an ounce of the information I have created for this individual character and too be honest isn't complete yet. But I have avoided delving into his backstory. But here is a sample
Spoiler:
Shen-Jel, a member of a band of heroes who helped put an end to the Oblivion Crises and later Arch-Mage of the Mage Guild. Eventually returned to his quest of becoming a shaman and furthering his research. Shovan is one of his few descendants, despite not knowing anything of his origins. The Shaman in Black Marsh that tought him for 15years is Kel nii, ironically one of the apprentices of Shen-Jel, and seeks to pass the knowledge of such arts to Shovan. This is also key to how Shovan is fate. This directly links him to his ancestor's presence to Akatosh's Aspect during the Oblivion Crises.

Please feel free to PM me on your thoughts^_^

Name: Alein deShaunde
Race: Breton
Age: 32
Birthsign (ahem): Mage
Specialities: Light armour, archery, sneak, conjuration, restoration, alteration

Background:

The last son of a proud Legion family, deShaunde served as an officer on the scout cohort of the XI Legion for many years, spending much of his service in Morrowind, including a period escorting expeditions into the interior of Vvardenfell during the initial phase of the reconstruction effort.
As with many Bretons, he had always displayed a certain aptitude for magic and had been put forward by his superiors as a possible candidate for training as a Legion spellsword. A promising career was cut short, however, following a skirmish with bandits masquerading as an Ashlander camp. The battle was won but the Legion forces suffered several casualties, deShaunde among them. He suffered wounds to his right leg and left shoulder. While the former healed quickly, the latter did not.
With limited strength and mobility in his left arm he was given an honorable discharge from the Legion, which galled him, as he was sure that he would make a full recovery in time. On top of that, he found himself plagued by strange and troubling dreams.
Depressed by his change in circumstances he drifted around Morrowind for a while, taking guard jobs and bounty hunting when he needed to fill his purse, before falling in with an elderly Dunmer mage and scholar who had once been a member of the Mages' Guild and who had made the study of the Dwemer his life's work.
DeShaunde and the Dunmer became firm friends and deShaunde found his interest in magic rekindled, as well as developing a fascination with the vanished Dwarves.
A few years after their meeting, the old elf was bitten by a diseased kwama forager and died soon after. His friend gone, de Shaunde decided to leave Morrowind and travel to neighbouring Skyrim. It was his intention to enrol at the College of Winterhold and continue his studies in magic and perhaps finally learn the significance of the dreams that continued to trouble him unabated.
Things did not go quite as he had intended, however, following his decision to ask for directions at a place called Darkwater Crossing...

As things stand, he's been arrested, nearly beheaded, attacked by a dragon (twice), made Thane of Whiterun- a city he never even intended to visit- and finds himself faced with the prospect of climbing a mountain that looks unsettlingly like one he's seen in his dreams. All within three days of crossing the border.
He misses the ash wastes already.

new character Im playing:

name: theon lachance
race: imperial
class: bard

Theon mostly uses a sword and shield with illusion for crowd control and alteration for extra protection (he wears clothes rather than armor) as well as a bow for ranged combat. Theon is also a competent alchemist using potions to heal and increase his skills and poisons to aid in combat, he is also a fairly good enchanter making weapons and enchanting his bards tunic to boost his health. theon occasionally uses the flames spell to practice destruction magic, although he isn't really very competent at the school he makes extensive use of magical staffs and scrolls him being a bard and lore master he has no problems appraising staffs and interpreting scrolls. Although theon is generally a good person and often helps the people of skyrim he has a slight compulsion for pickpocketing and theft.....

Im really enjoying this character, its a nice jack of all trades and fun to RP plus im using such a variaty of things my perks are spread thinner than im used to so combat is a little more intense as theon is somewhat underpowered compared to my other builds.

Name: Aldaril
Race: Altmer
Age: 80-ish (Altmers live a long life...)
Birthsign: The Lord
Class: Mage
Personality: Very intelligent. A keen observer. Can keep his cool even when things get too heated. Fiercely loyal to the people he has grown to love. A bit show-offish. Believes that the end justifies the mean. Can be manipulative. Rather hypocrital.
In Combat: Relies mostly in his deep knowledge of magic spells. He is somewhat capable with the blade but he avoids physical confrontations as much as he can.

Background:

"I'm a veteran of the Great War. If you have to know which side, it was the Thalmor. Why am I not a Thalmor now? Well, reality has its way with idealism...anyway, when the war ended, I wanted to continue studying magic. Went around Tamriel at first. Teaching myself through experience so to speak. My knowledge of magicka did grow considerably during my travels but there was never any true focus. I wanted to devote myself to a more specific branch of study, particularly the long forgotten art of mysticism. I needed a school. The Synod and the College of Whispers are more engrossed in politics than research. I don't wish to join any institution in the Aldmeri Dominion out of personal reasons so I've headed to the College of Winterhold. I would've tried to join the Psijics but, it's, well, impossible. Their home, the isle of Artaeum, has disappeared for more than a century I believe. How do you contact someone who is so reclusive that they've hidden their home somewhere beyond Mundus? Or it might still be in Mundus, but...hmm...I don't know. Anyway, here I am now, Dragonborn, arch-mage, and thane of Whiterun. So much for wishing for a quiet life devoted to studying."

OK, there's a song on Lena's last album that reminds me of when you are first starting a new game (Mr. Arrow Key) and so I thought, maybe she should be in this game. And I was quite pleased with how the character turned out! (forgive the photo-of-tv quality, PS3)

Doesn't she look cool as a Stormcloak? :D I'm going to play her as a bard.

Also, I read this thread a lot, even though I never comment, so I'm glad people are always posting their characters, including background, etc.!

If your on pc, theres a mod that allows you to go to inns and play the lute, flute or drums in exchange for a free room and meal, plus some coin. the more playing you do, the more money you make and your "bard renown" goes up. Eventually you can play for Jarls and such. Nice mod.

as it's the best game of all times since Morrowind I played, finished and play again, and again, and have had many characters but the main ones are the same, same race, same face, same hair color, etc.

Name: Conan
Race: Nord
PlayStyle: I played like the next classes: Nightblade during Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood questlines, Knight during Companions questline, Mage during College questline and Battlemage for the main questline. Mostly started the factions in that order, like I'm a poor warrior seduced by eassy money of thievery and assessination who leaves his criminal past to become a man of honor.

I like to imagine he's descendant of the heroes of the previous games (which I played them all as a dark haired nord, sorry but I'm the biggest fan of Conan the barbarian xD), all of them lived 200 years ago after all. Their sons and daughters met each other and fell in love and all that stuff and the result of those unions 200 years later was Conan the Dragonborn, the ultimate hero. But he didn't know anything about his glorious ancestry because when his father left Thirsk to fight in the great war and never came back, he was just 3 years old, his mother died in mourning a year later and he was taken care by the skaal warriors of Thirsk. He left the meadhall at the age of 13 to know the world and prove his skill.
He left the island and traveled to the Morrowind mainland where was captured by pirats and sold as slave to a Thalmor master, was trained and forced to fight in the Arena of the Imperial city, crushing bones, spilling blood, until, with the time, his victories were not eassy to be counted.
When he thought he could learn nothing else from the gladiators of Cyrodiil murdered his altmer master and fled to the north, passed Bruma and found haven in some estrange ruins on the Pale Pass, where an akavir warlord ghost taught him his deepest secrets.
Eager to get out of the thalmor's reach, and willing to start his new free life, atempted to cross the border with Skyrim but was captured during an imperial ambush and taken to Helgen with Stormcloak prisoners...and the rest is story

2nd serious playthrough (though he's very similar to my 1st serious playthrough character):

Name: Narmer Leior
Age: Somewhere in his mid to late twenties
Race: Imperial
Gender: Male
Favored weapons: Redguard scimitar, Dragonbane
Favored attire: Redguard armor
Skills: One-handed, destruction, alchemy, block, heavy armor
Factions: Companions, College of Winterhold, Imperial Legion

Background:
Narmer's not actually from Skyrim, but a character from my own constructed world - his entire experience in Skyrim is one huge dream/nightmare, depending on how you want to look at it. A pragmatic and cynical man, he was exiled from his homeland due to political instability. He is currently searching for his twin sister, but is now currently stuck in Tamriel for unknown reasons.

Despite this, though he rarely shows his amusement at odd things like dying and being resurrected to a minute before or the fact that people in Tamriel seem to like saying the same things over and over, he's genuinely enjoying the experience. He also found great purpose in reunifying Skyrim, rising quickly in the ranks due to his shrewdness and mastery of god-like powers - in a way, he feels like he redeemed himself after failing to accomplish anything of note in his war-torn homeland. Ultimately, one could even say he's beginning to forget his reality and that he's getting lost in a dream. Eventually, though, once he meets a woman who reminds him of the sister he's searching for, he might just have "a bit" of a nervous breakdown.

As a side note, he is a distant direct ancestor of my first serious playthrough character, Daius Leior, who also basically had the same thing happen to him (Skyrim/Tamriel being one insanely long dream sequence). The only difference is that Daius' twin sister directly communicates to him while he's dreaming (sort of like a second voice speaking inside your head). Narmer, however, is relatively alone.

Here is my original character, who i am retiring now that he finished the main story of Dragonborn.

Name: Shadow
Race: Imperial
Started off as a stealthy assassin/thief but later turned into a nightblade, then mage, then warrior, then sniper, and finally ending as a sword & board warrior.

Final Level: 85
Main skills: One-handed, Block, Heavy Armor, Restoration, Enchanting
Finished Main Quest, Dawnguard (as vampire), CoW, Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, Civil War (Empire) and Dragonborn

And now he shall spend his final moments with his wife Camilla, and his two daughters Sofie and Lucia sitting by the fire at his home in Falkreath while the bard sings Tale of the Tongues......

Now on to a new character!
