My New character that I started today.
Basics:
Spoiler:
Name: Lucian Decimus
Age: 26
Race: Imperial

Fighting style and morals:
Spoiler:
A surprising mix of Archery, Heavy armour, One-handed and shield. He always opens a fight with ranged attacks and if that's not enough then he moves in close and kills them in CQC.
He's a man that has seen to much in too little time, he takes pity on the weak and scorns the rich who don't help others. He is also incredibly stubborn.

Backstory:
Spoiler:
Born and raised in Cyrodil but moved to Skyrim at a young age. He witnessed the death of his parents at the hands of a Werewolf bewitched by none other than Lord Harkon at the age of 15. After watching his parents die, the vampire burnt down his home while he remained inside. Due to his incredible stubbornness and the benelovence of a passing traveller he was saved and they returned to Cyrodil. The traveller turned out to be a vampire hunter who taught Lucian the tricks of the trade before he too was killed by the werewolf.
After returning to Skyrim after 11 years the werewolf found Lucian. It was a desperate struggle, ending in the destruction of his equipment and being hunted for the night, Lucian emerged victorious. He waited out the Werewolf's transformation and struck down the man who was left with his bare fists- however a passing imperial patrol caught him beating to death an officer of the Legion. After a very short and serious amount of torture -not permitted by the Legion- they took him to Helgen to be executed...

Goals (Warning Dawnguard spoilers):
Spoiler:
Find any information on Lord Harkon
Kill Lord Harkon
Remove the Vampire Threat from Skyrim

Hi all,

Lurked here for a while, figured i'd join in and post my characters.

Started a new character a few days ago that im enjoying alot and roleplaying heavily with.

The timeline may be slightly wrong but here is the back story i wrote none the less. MAY INCLUDE SPOILERS.

Name: Cassius Hawken

Proffession: Blades Agent, Swordsman.

Background:

Cassius Hawken can trace his blood line directly back to the famous blade Baurus, Baurus served the blades in the time when Martin Septim rose into the spirit of Akatosh and vanquished Mehrunes Dagon back into the plane of Oblivion. Baurus was placed to protect the emperor, Uriel Septim but failed in his mission to protect him. Baurus strived to right his failure and eventually regained his honor at the Battle of Bruma where he single handedly slew 16 Daedra as they tried to take the city of Bruma. In the following years Baurus stayed at the Blades main stronghold, Cloud Ruler Temple, and quickly made his way through the ranks to finally be named Grandmaster of the Blades at the passing of Grandmaster Jaufree. He remained in this position until the Thalmor made there pact with the Empire and proceeded to begin their elimination of the Blades Strongholds across Tamriel. Although nearing the end of his life, Baurus and a handful of surviving blades defended the stronghold for 3 days whilst under constant siege by Thalmor agents. He was eventually overwhelmed and killed taking a large number of Thalmor with him.

Unknown to the Thalmor Baurus had a son with a Nord maiden he had fallen in love with in the city of Bruma. The child was know as Cartha Hawken and although his story and legend are unknow it is known he was trained as a blade. He eventually had a son and died of natural causes at the age of 88.

Cartha's son named as Baurus II was also trained in the ancient fighting style of the Blades, but due to increasing threats of Thalmor activity, Cartha spent many of his years in hiding. He eventually met a woman, took her as his wife and they hid in seclusion for many years, eventually having a son of there own. Baurus II's wife died giving birth to their son named as Cassius. Cassius grew up with his father in seclusion in the woods surrounding Bruma. He was taught as his ancestors to wield the Sword and in the fighting styles of the Ancient blades. Cassius's father pushed him hard to become the very best swordsman he could. Cassius took this as hatred believing his father held him responsible for the death of his mother. Baurus II had few friends and Cassius was often allowed to sit in on the meetings. Many of Baurus's friends were also Blades Agents gone to ground and would come by to inform Baurus of recent goings on. One day when Cassius was out collecting firewood in the forest he returned to find his home ablaze and his father mortally wounded surrounded by the bodies of 3 Thalmor agents. Baurus made Cassius swear he would find the remaining Blades and help to destroy the Thalmor threat and to rebuild there order to the strength of there glory days. Cassius realised then that the hatred his father showed him was not hatred but a burning desire to protect his son and shape him into a formidable warrior. After burying his father, marking the grave by laying his fathers sword across it, he left his shattered life and fled.

He fled across Cyrodiil, living rough in the wilderness and ruins, sometimes falling in with Bandits to rob travelling merchants. Cassius hated this part of his life, although it was essential to his survival, and although he never killed any of the people he robbed he could not help feel that he was disgracing the memory of his father.

One day as his Bandit gang engaged a travelling merchant along the south road from Bruma the tables were turned and the merchant, turning out the be a Blades agent in disguise, slew the majority of the Bandits. Noticing the mercy in Cassius's eyes his spared the boy and the two became friends. It was not until Cassius finally spoke of his fathers death did the merchant realise he was the son of Baurus. The merchant turned out to be one of the Blades Agents that had visited his father.

The pair travelled east to a secret meeting between the remaining Blades and Cassius was quickly brought into there ranks. The meeting was discussing the recent siting of a Dragon in Skyrim and also to discuss the Blades position on the fight in SKyrim, Should the Blades remain silent or throw in with Ulfric Stormcloak and try to destroy the Thalmor threat there. The Blades debated for 2 days before deciding that the only course of action was to aid Ulfric in overthrowing the Empire, destroying the Thalmor presence in Skyrim and also to verify the siting of a dragon. Cassius volunteered to be the Blades emmisary and, because it was believe that he had died in the fire at his home and thus the Thalmor did not know of his existence it was quickly agreed that he would be the best candidate to oversee this.

Setting off Cassius was to meet another Blade Agent currently hiding out in Skyrim and together work from there. Cassius arrived at the meeting place along the Cyrodiil/Skyrim border but instead of being met with his contact he fell prey to an Imperial trap laid to capute the leader of the Stormcloak rebellion, Ulfric Stormcloak. He was taken to Helgen along with the rebels and a thief who had also been caught in the trapand was to be beheaded. As Cassius took his place on the block and the headsman raised his axe a dark shape filled the sky. The sightings of a Dragon had been true and the great winged beast brought its destructive fury down onto the village. Cassius managed to escape along with another of the Rebels, the Nord known as Ralof, and together the pair made there way to Ralof's sister ,Gurdur, in the nearby village of Riverwood. Cassius lost most of his equipment when he was captured and thus has lost his Blades Katana. Gurdur asked in return for her hospitality that he head to the Hold of Whiterun and inform the Jarl there of the Dragon attacks. Cassius whilst buying supplies for his journey overheard a merchant arguing about a recent break in and the stealing of a golden dragons claw. Wondering whether this claw had anything in connection with the Dragon, Cassius agreed to help and set off in search of the bandits who stole it, eventually tracking them down to the barrow dens above the village. Cassius assulted the barrow dens, wielding a simple blade borrowed from the blacksmith and wielding a flaming torch he slew the bandits, recovered the claw and discovered he was the Dragonborn.

In recent times he has honed his dragonborn powers with a visit to the greyboards. More recently he made a daring raid on the Thalmor embassy to recover what they know of the dragon attacks. Barely escaping with his life he currently resides in Riverwood preparing to head to Riften to track down the Blade, Esbern. He will soon move to a city closer to Riften so as not to draw attention to Delphine.

Rules: Carries 3 torches, fights with just a sword, wears fur armor whilst travelling along with a timber wolf cloak and hood. Once he gets access to heavy armor he will switch to wearing this. Once smithing is high enough he will craft his own Akiviri Katana to replace the one he lost in the trap, naming the blade, Swiftcloud, a reference to the ancient stronghold of the Blades, Cloud Ruler temple. Currently has crafted his New Katana and is now wearing steel armor. At the moment he is resting up and gaining his strength before he heads to Riften.

Major Motoko Kusanagi
Age: 34
Race: Imperial (Akaviri)
Focus: stealth, one-handed, conjuration, illusion, enchanting
Factions: Dark Brotherhood, College of Winterhold
Personality: Driven, disciplined, prone to profound conversation and pleasure-seeking

Akavir survivor. Born to one of few families of men preserved by the Tsaesci for study/slavery. Stolen by the Ka Po’ Tun as a baby during conflicts.
Abandoned (by the Ka Po’ Tun after their curiosity had passed) on an iceberg that floated to High Rock at 9yrs old. She was found, gravely injured and ill, by Imperial scout Captain Granthia Costan

Only Costan knows Kusanagi is an actual Akaviri. Kusanagi's body healed after near destruction from the iceberg voyage and did not respond to normal alchemy, only magic. Kusanagi grew up looking differently than her peers and no one knew why. She was always smaller, but much stronger, faster and more proficient w magic. She has been haunted by dreams/nightmares of Akavir. She knows nothing about the place but feels it. She used skooma to stop the dreams for a long time and now has to fight that old addiction and concentrate on her mission.

She was an outcast in the Imperial Army ranks. Had superior skill set of stealth, magic and combat, but she would occasionally "lose control" of her mind/body and hurt others so was sent through Penitus Oculatus training with Costan's connections. There, she could concentrate on working alone. Even with the Penitus, she was seen as different and was not fully welcomed.

At 23, Kusanagi tried against Costan's wishes to go to Akavir and find her parents.
With no way to get there by ship she learned of a powerful warlock in in the Blackwood forest of southern Cyrodiil from notes she stole from the guildmaster of the mages guild in the Imperial city.
After striking a devil's deal w/ the warlock, she would be transported through the daedric realm to Akavir. The cost to her would be to simply pay homage to all the daedric lords by one favor to each in her lifetime.

After being teleported to the shore of the Taesci coast, Kusanagi made her way to the underground palace she remembered only in dreams. She found nothing but desolation and ash from dragonfire for miles. She was ready to give up on all things. Stranded, dehydrated, she trudged through the ashes of the palace to get to the coast. Exhausted after days of walking she falls and passes out. She wakes up next to a small shrine of Akatosh. Just like the one her parents pray to in her dreams.
She prays to Akatosh w/ her last breath and hears a voice: "look to the light, look to the fire, look to the east, look to the dragon". Her body is healed and vitality regained.
Looking, she sees a light miles out to sea. She takes the small shrine and swims towards the light. It’s the portal backto Cyrodiil.
Returning to Costan she devoted herself to reach her potential and to serve Akatosh…

Superior tactical skills, high intelligence and a remarkable threshold for pain had her taking the high-priority intelligence and assassination assignments.
The emperor's chief advisor sent her to Skyrim under complete cover to investigate/infiltrate/subvert: Ulfric and Stormcloaks, Thalmor, Dwemer artifacts, important factions and natives of Skyrim. She is free to assist the local imperial army but she must not blow her cover to anyone. She must findways to fund her mission on her own.

She does feel some loyalty to the Dark Brotherhood as they are misfits and outcasts like her. She appreciates the college too. She will infiltrate the Companions and Thieves Guild. She has no sympathy for thieves and finds the narrowmindedness of the Companions a bore.
Her mission (and life) is interrupted by: deal she made to pay homage to daedra lords (she has to do their evil deeds/quests), dreams/nightmares of Akavir (cause her to "lose control"), her Dragonborn destiny and affinity for Skyrim’s orphans.

Limitations: can only be blessed by Akatosh and cannot wear amulet of other gods, healing potions don’t work on her, only spells.
May "lose control" and hurt/kill followers during combat. (she prefers solo dungeon-diving because of this).

dislikes: beef, ale, crowds, Argonians

Agatha Crowley, Former Mage of the College of Whispers, now recluse, Dark Brotherhood Listener, and Apprentice of the College of Winterhold.
Race: Imperial
Age: 32
Stone:Varies, currently under the Stars of the Lord.
Archetype: Necromancer/Enchantress(both item-making and mind-taking)
Primary Skills: Conjuration(necro and bound weapons), Illusion, Enchanting(amulets, rings, and robes, no armor), Sneak, One-handed(bound sword), and some dabbling in alchemy.

She was born in the Imperial City, and recruited to the College of Whispers at a young age. Advancing quickly, she seemed fascinated by the barriers between the living and the dead, the waking mind and dream. Her teachers discouraged this, primarily so they could mold her more to their liking, and secondarily to prevent the practices of necromancy from spreading. Agatha was a student of the written records of the King of Worms and other powerful necromancers, and had a talent for it that worried her mentors. The Fears of her betters (a prodigal necromancer, practicing it in ways they could not understand, and thus wielding power they could neither counter, nor steal for themselves) and the general fears of necromancy among the Imperial populace made Agatha's life a hard and reclusive one, until she was finally expelled by the College of Whispers. Shortly thereafter, it was arranged that she take the blame for several problematic hauntings in nearby towns, and she was forced to flee her beloved home in the once-blessed capital. Angry and embittered, Agatha could not find anywhere to call her own in cyrodill thanks to the machinations of her former teachers, and the Synod would not accept an avowed necromancer(particularly one with such a sullied reputation). Unwilling to join rogue conjurers in caves and ruins, she fled north, hoping to become lost in the crowds among the politics of a war of succession that had erupted in Skyrim. And that's when the real problems started.....

Escaping Helgen was no small feat, and managing to disentagle herself form the politics of the war, even temporarily, was even more difficult, especially now that she had been proclaimed dragonborn. Thus went all her hopes of fading into anonymity.
Jaded with all people, she now seeks to become powerful enough to either overthrow the college of whispers, or force acceptance of her in this land of prejudiced sword-swingers. With no regard for social ethics or common morals, she now dives headfirst into ancient tombs and dangerous deals, stealing conjurers' and necromancers' research documents, dabbling in Deadric worship, Wetwork for the dark brotherhood, and currying favors within Winterhold College by means good or ill. Strangely, she truly believes (and perhaps not entierly without basis) that hse is the moral one and that all others are debased, corrupt, or simply ignorant of their moral failings. She brings no harm to children, and wishes to save them from a harsh world. She does not harm animals that do not attack her first. Her adopted daughter is loved and cared for, and Agatha is finally finding herself at home in this strange land. She might find a wife and truly settle down, perhaps even adopt a second child. I hear that Aretino boy is up for adoption, now that Grelod is no longer objecting, and Muiri is in need of a new home and family.......

Name: Muz-Ra
Race: Argonian (female)
Class: Ranger/Agent
Skills: Archery, light armor, alchemy, speech, One-handed/unarmed

Backstory: When Red Mountain roared and the Argonians attacked Morrowind, the Dunmer people were weak. With their armies disoriented, the Dunmeric war effort relied heavily on highly trained spies, agents, and assassins. One freelance nightmage named Tadali Farano helped harass Argonian military assets through assassination, sabotage, and subterfuge. Argonian leaders pointed small groups of skilled hunters from Black Marsh to track and kill these influential dark elves. Muz-Ra was one of such rangers, and followed Tadali into Skyrim. In the mountains southeast of Eastmarch, Tadali encountered her pursuers, and through her adept use of illusion magic, had Muz-Ra shoot her own partner.

Muz-Ra tracked Tadali with a newly motivated vengeance all the way to Darkwater Crossing, a small mining town northeast of the great mountain the Nords call "The Throat of the World." Usually, Muz-Ra has an exceptional spatial awareness, analyzing every possible escape, enemy, or weapon she may have to engage in if things turn hairy. Until they do, she plays a helpless, victimized woman in a land of prejudice. Having lost her focus in her passionate fury over Tadali, she was caught in an Imperial ambush. The silly squabble between bulking, ignorant men cost Muz-Ra her trail. After the Helgen incident, Muz-Ra made haste to Ivarstead, to eventually get to Darkwater Crossing and track her gray nemesis.

Play style: Cunning, seductive, secretive (never fights in front of bystanders, her cover and fighting style is then known to all), quick and precise. She uses poison and accuracy to strike enemies down in a minimal number of effortless swipes and shots from her bow. She travels light physically an emotionally. She's very resourceful and cold, and he'll bent on her goals. She doesn't care much for magic, besides enchanting her equipment for protection, but she may study illusion to build a defense against Tadalis mind tricks in the future.

Making a new nord character, honour bound, doom driven hero of the dragon blood, two handed and heavy armour wielding bloke, Tro'ndur the white. (named after a viking chieftain, and you can guess where the white bit is from...
(the o' should be an accented o, but can't figure out how to do one of those...)

In other words the definitive dragonborn...

Vori was born in the city of Riften. While she was talented with a blade, by her father, Balimund, teaching her, she never knew her mother, as she died while giving birth to young Vori. Her adopted brother, Asbjorn Fire-Tamer, always bullied her when she was young, but later forgave him before Vori moved away to the province of Hammerfell, in the city of Elrinhir. She lived with her redguard husband, Waylas, who later was killed by a group of Marauding bandits that sacked Elrinhir at night. After the death of Waylas, Vori leaves Hammerfell, and goes straight into Skyrim, then was captured by the Imperial Legion. She was taken by the legion, and was sentenced to execution of Helgen, but during that day, the dragon Alduin attacks, killing many innocent people, legionnaires, and stormcloak soldiers. Vori managed to escape with Ralof, and to Riverwood.

Name: Vinye
Race: Altmer
Class: Mage
Skills: Destruction (shock), restoration, conjuration, alteration

Born in Alinor to active and high-ranking members of the Aldmeri Dominion, much of Vinye's early life was spent in preparation for acceptance into the ranks of the Thalmor. Beneath her studious mindset, however, lay a passion for adventure that even the Dominion could not fully sate. At the first chance she got, therefore, she began traveling abroad in Valenwood and Elsweyr, visiting Elden Root, Corinthe, and Falinesti three times each in her travels.

Her third visit to Falinesti was cut short, however, when she unwittingly found herself in the midst of a bloody battle, and in an adrenaline-fueled panic, she managed to kill every last one of the attackers. But Vinye's relief was short-lived, as she quickly found out that the participants were both Bosmer and Altmer - and that the latter elves were Dominion soldiers, carrying out a premeditated massacre of the Bosmer they considered "lesser" than them.

So it was that Vinye learned of the Thalmor's darker, bloodier side. Shaken and fearful of the Dominion's retribution, she swiftly decided to flee, knowing full well that the Thalmor would look into the sudden disappearance of an entire legion of their soldiers.

One week later, she had crossed the border into Cyrodiil, where she hoped to return to her studies of magic, and perhaps forge a completely new path. However, the Mages' Guild of the region had long since dissolved, and the political tension between the two splinter groups that had formed in its place - the Synod Council and the College of Whispers - proved too frustrating an atmosphere. Vinye did not last two months at either institution before voluntarily leaving, and eventually decided to journey north to Skyrim, where she hoped to gain admittance into the College of Winterhold.

After getting mixed up in an Imperial ambush of Stormcloak freedom fighters and very nearly losing her head to the executioner's axe, Vinye finally made it to Winterhold. But she will soon discover that the reach of the Thalmor extends further than she believed possible ...

-

After surviving no less than three unexpected large-scale assaults, including the dragon that sabotaged her date with the chopping block at Helgen, Vinye has learned to always be prepared, and to always make the first move in combat. She dislikes frost and fire, calling them "too slow," and favors shock magic for its instantaneous speed and usefulness against enemy mages (and incidentally Thalmor Justiciars, who find out the hard way that Vinye has not forgotten that massacre of Falinesti).

Having journeyed through much of southern and central Tamriel on her own, Vinye is confident in herself and her abilities, and so does not travel with a companion unless she feels it is absolutely necessary, preferring instead to summon a daedra when her own magic is not enough.

Name: Malys
Race: Dunmer
Class: Vampire mage
Skills: Destruction (frost), restoration, conjuration, illusion

A native of Suran since her birth, Malys was employed at Desele's House of Earthly Delights as a popular "special request," before the Vvardenfell eruption and the subsequent Argonian invasion forced her and her people to migrate elsewhere. Malys was part of a group of refugees that fled to Eastmarch through the pass in the Velothi Mountains.

From here, she settled in Windhelm, hoping to eke out a living and continue promoting her "special services." But the xenophobic Nords that made up a considerable fraction of Windhelm's population did not trust her, and before long, she found herself restricted to the Gray Quarter on the best of days, and out in the streets begging for septims on the worst.

Things hit a low point twelve years after her arrival in Windhelm when one of her patrons released a rather explicitly embellished account of his time with her. Furious, Malys set out to destroy every last copy, and though she was ultimately successful (notably, the patron who had published the exposé was never heard from again), the damage had already been done; the Nords now had a legitimate excuse to send the town guard after Malys and run her out of the Gray Quarter and out of Windhelm.

Malys spent much of the next two centuries between Skyrim and Solstheim, never really finding a hobby or occupation that suited her for very long. On several occasions, she participated in attempts at recolonizing Morrowind, none of which were successful.

By 4E 201, Malys had suffered a number of identity crises, and eventually decided she would settle in Helgen, content with leading a quiet, private life until her death. But an Imperial patrol waiting in ambush had other ideas ...

-

Despite nearly two centuries of introspection, odd jobs, and boredom leaving her detached and aloof, twenty-five years as an exotic entertainer have given Malys a playful, almost seductive streak that tends to quickly veer towards the sadistic. Using ice magic - one of a few assets she put to (carefully applied) use in her time with Desele's - Malys enjoys toying with her enemies, taking her time in whittling their defenses to nothing and leaving them frozen, helpless, and at her mercy. Sometimes, she may even make use of illusion and restoration magic to both calm and heal her enemy, just for the sake of prolonging their fate even longer.

Name: Dar'Jarsha

Race: Khajiit

Gender: Male

Main Skills: Sneak, One-Handed & Archery

Bio: Dar'Jarsha was born in Elsweyr. He was one of the few that didn't like the Thalmor. At the age of 18, he ran off to Cyrodiil with one of the Khajiit caravans. He made it to the Imperial City, where he bought a house from the Waterfront District.

At first he made his septims by working as courier. He was eventually fired, because his employees found out about his skooma addiction. After that he earned his living by thievery. At some point he got over his skooma addiction and made a small profit by selling his remaining skooma and Moon Sugar.

He was eventually caught while stealing in a house. He managed to escape from the guards, but he was already identified. He had to leave Cyrodiil.

So he crossed the border to Skyrim. You know the rest...

Playstyle: When playing as Dar'Jarsha, I play as an assassin. Ya'know, sneak behind people and slit their throats, shoot them with a bow and arrow from distance, etc. etc. Of course I have a sword with me if I have to go toe-to-toe. Against dragons I just use my bow and use Dragonrend. I've also found out that Aura Whisper is incredibly useful in dungeons.

Name: He-Who-Watches

Race: Argonian

Gender: Male, obviously

Skills: sort of a nightblade build, light armor, destruction, conjuration, sneak and marksman.

Bio: A skilled shamanic warrior living on the Bitter Coast of conquered Morrowind, He-Who-Watches sought travel and the knowledge of different lands. After arriving in Skyrim he found the prevalent racism of the land a bit much to bear and slew three drunken Nords who foolishly provoked him. He was arrested with Ulfric, a man he would later form an allegiance with. Despite his racist treatment by the Nords, and especially by the Stormcloaks he felt that they were less of a threat than the failing empire. After the war He-Who-Watches traveled throughout Skyrim perfecting his voodoo swamp magic in various guilds and encounters only to realize the full potential of his reptilian (i.e. dragon) blood.

Started a new dark elf character, Velavesa, a young woman, brought up by a group of bosmer hunters/sometimes bandits along the Cyrodill/Skyrim border. She has decided to head north, and live a new crime free life in a new world. Unfortunately, her adopted family's criminal past catches up with her, and she is captured by imperial soldiers, and dumped on a cart headed for Helgen.

You know the rest...

Quirks: likes carrots, cabbages, leeks, apples... basically all the things her bosmer adopters wouldn't let her eat. Isn't that keen on meat either which doesn't help... Likes setting stuff on fire, particularly draugr, she sees them as vile, disgusting things that must be hunted down and burnt to a cinder. Or electricuted. Or both. Some would describe it as vindictive torture... With regards to the living, leave her alone, she'll leave you alone sort of thing.

She isn't aware of that much of her races past, beyond that they are downtrodden and looked down upon by nords, one of the things she seeks to change for the better. She tends to be idealistic and is very much inexperienced.

Wants to see the world, and learn about her people.

Name: Varus
Race and gender: male Drow(added by a mod)
Playstyle: A stealthy archer, who also uses, restoration, alteration(mostly flesh spells), and alchemy. He also dabbles in enchanting and smithing.
Personality: As a follower of Meridia, he hates undead and necromancers. He likes to kill vampires and werewolves simply for sport. He drinks. A LOT. He has a tendency to threaten people into doing what he wants. He makes money by hunting and selling meat/pelts etc. He also sells most of the what he finds while adventuring. He doesn't wear armor, prefering the set of robs his grandfather gave him.
Lame Backstory incoming!!!
Spoiler:
(I use an alternate start mod): Living deep underground, most Drow were killed when Red Mountain Erupted. The survivors surfaced and left Morrowind like their cousins, the Dunmer. Interbreeding, disease, and violence greatly diminished the number of living Drow. The violence in Skyrim claimed the lives of many, and the few survivors occupied the ruins of the Dwemer. Varus' family had settled in blackreach, and most studied the Dwemer, trying to unlock the secrets of the ancient society. A small group of Necromancers, seeking to study the Drow potential as undead slaves, attacked the group of starving, pestilence-stricken elves and prevailed withe their undead hordes. The Drow fought well, but in the end, all were lost. All, except for the young Varus, and his Grandfather. They were out doing some trading at Nightgate Inn, where the locals assumed they were Dunmer. Upon returning home and seeing the aftermath of the battle, Varus' grandfather summoned a group of Dremora Lords who proceeded to crush the now weakened Necromancers. The victory came at a price ,however. The strain of the summoning, as well as the horrors he had witnessed, gave the old man a heart attack. He collapsed as Varus rushed to his side, and mumbled inaudibly as his shaky hands handed a key to his grandson. The ancient elf started to point at a door in the distance, then silence and stillness.

Well, I have few but let's see my latest..

Name: Vhailor
Race: Imperial
Gender: Male
Playstyle: direct melee combat (1h+spell and 2h swords), stealthy infiltration and assassination, sabotage and subterfuge

Personality: he's close to mid years, in his mind. He used to be a loyal soldier of Imperial Legion, joined up at a very young age. So young in fact that commanding officers did not want to take him in at first, but as both of his parents were members of Imperial Legion and he was pretty strong and skilled for his years, they did take him in. Mother was the battlemage and father was high ranking officer. At the beginning of the Great War his parents were almost killed as their squad, while visiting one of the Blades minor holdouts was attached by Thalmor Squad which was hunting for Blades members. After a short but furious battle the Thalmor were defeated, but there were many casualties on Imperial side too, several Blades and Legioneers were killed. Both his parents were wounded, fathers wounds were more severe but they did not die that day. That incident strengthened his resolve and hatred against the Thalmor. As he was very skilled in both melee combat and magic and very shortly after taking the service showed also great skill in stealth and infiltration, he was given a small group of like-skilled soldiers and their special scouting team was formed. They worked deep behind the front lines in Thalmor area, striking at key targets, be it some camp or an important high ranking enemy. In a very short time they gained huge fame within Imperial Legion for their quick and decisive strikes when eliminating important targets and personnel of Thalmor and just as high rate of infamy and hatred from Thalmor. Thalmor kill orders against him and bounty announcements alone numbered high enough to bind a huge tome from them.

Not once during the Great War were they caught by Thalmor and over the years suffered only one casualty, thus they considered that the war is heading their way. They had just gotten the information of especially high ranking Thalmor members and were getting ready to plan the strike when they received the news that the war was over. With those despicable terms. He wasn't a religious person but he respected Talos as the historical figure and an example to strive for, so the sudden banning of Talos was an insult for him. He did not agree to the fact that the Empire simply agreed to the terms like these coming from Thalmor. He did not agree that the Empire just gave up on Blades, with whom he and his parents had worked together on several special missions in the past and during the war. That several parts of the Empire were just given away to Thalmor. Thalmor had even demanded his head on a platter from the Emperor and if it was up to some officials, they'd even do it but his family had enough influence in the Empire that this was denied. Not that he would have minded for some Thalmor to come and try to take his head, would have been at least entertaining to see their futile attempts. In any case, on that day he lost his faith in the upper echelon of the Empire and the Emperor. He still loved the Empire what he and his family had served for so long. When he got to the Imperial City and reported in, he got his commendations and rewards and payment for all of his work, but he also resigned from Imperial Legion that day. His team also broke apart, each team member heading back to their home province to try and fight against the Thalmor as they can, be it by helping locals or leading them.

Vhailor took his money and his trusty gear and headed to Skyrim. He had never actually been there and he wanted to see the land from where Talos came. He figured he'll take time off, rest some, explore Skyrim and get to know it and Talos as a person, general, leader and the real Emperor, and then decide his future actions. He knew one thing for sure, that soon enough his path will cross with Thalmor again and woe to any member of Thalmor that meets him. And so Vhailor came to Skyrim, just over the Darkwater Crossing when he saw what seemed to be some local militia or soldiers ahead. He did not pay attention to them, as he was just a traveler and had no business with them, when they all were suddenly attacked from all sides. Ambush. Some figures lunged at Vhailor too but he grounded them with precise evasive moves and few hits with his fists. He pulled out his sword and was ready to impale the next one who came at him, when he saw imperial uniform. Apparently those attackers were from Imperial Legion. He disarmed the attacker and then, to attackers great surprise, surrendered to him. Vhailor did not want to kill the member of Imperial Legion and he thought that he will be released after the talk with the commanding officer. To his surprise the wagons did not head to the prison, instead they headed straight to the headman's block and Vhailor came to realization that he really does need to take drastic measures, else he'll lose his head. But just as he was about to disable the headsman and teach a lesson to the suck-up brown-noser imperial captain in that keep, a dragon attacked. A real live dragon, which was now laying the waste to the imperial outpost and the village around him, and ironically also providing unexpected assistance.

Name: Gidlii Cerwan
Gender: Female
Race: Bosmer
Class: Archer/Siren

Skills: Archery, Sneak, Illusion, Smithing (I'll need it for Master difficulty)
Stone: Tower or Serpent. I don't want a skill stone because I'm scared to level up too much on Master difficulty. Serpent paralysis will be helpful without the option of paralysis poisons, and tower as a thief who will most likely get into jail a couple times.

This is my sexy Wood Elf, Gidlii. She's a playful, deadly little thing with an aspiration for beauty and influence. She journeyed to Skyrim in pursuit of rumors of a woman in the mountains south of Falkreath that could mentor her in advanced archery skills. On her way to Falkreath by a chain of carriages from Bruma, she was caught up in Darkwater Crossing by an Imperial ambush, mistaken as one of the rebels when she tried to cast a spell on one of the soldiers to calm him and escape.

First things first, as a Wood elf I need to get Gidlii that cannibal ring so she can eat her enemies. That's just to satisfy roleplay, then I'll continue with her first goal of going to Angie's Camp. I'm playing her as hardcore as possible: Master difficulty, no waiting, sleeping at night, no fast travel (maybe carriage), no potions, no HUD (despite her archery needs for a crosshair, and sneaky needs for a stealth indicator), no music, and 30% brightness. All of these come together for a VERY immersive and frightening experience. I'm actually choosing to sneak past draugr instead of killing them, because I'm scared of those kinds of numbers in combat.

I'm currently looking for ways to expand on her character/backstory.

Update on Varus: He was killed by Burning Inferno (from a mod)... Slain for his crimes against Markarth.
So I'll start a new character for the Dead is Dead thread.

Name: Asul
Race: Altmer
Sex: Male

Class: Hybrid, mostly mage/thief
Primary skills: Illusion, pickpocketing, sneak, conjuration
Current follower: Sven

Character traits:

- Asul is, plain and simply, insane. Genuinely insane since he has several mental disorders. As a result he’s unpredictable, very impulsive and is unable to resist certain urges that could be harmful to himself or others. He pretty much does whatever he feels like at the moment and almost totally lacks the rational thought process which could prevent him from doing stupid things.

- Is greatly amused by illusion and conjuration magic. Using creatures and people as puppets is like some sort of funny game for him.
- Has kleptomanic urges but doesn’t want to join the Thieves Guild because that “‘Hey lad’ – stalker guy” scared the crap out of him. Thus he hoards around stuff nobody is willing to buy.
- Loves argonians and khajiits. Thinks they are cute…. though they don’t really appreciate how he acts like they would be some sort of intelligent pets.
- Doesn’t like altmers because they are as tall as him. Prefers to look down on other people while conversing.
- Hates goats. Thinks they are giving him the "evil eye".

- Has absolutely NO idea he’s the Dragonborn. Managed to anger and kill half of Riverwood population (because of using illusion spell on a chicken) during his first visit and thus never got the assignment to go to see the Jarl of Whiterun. Maybe it’s better he doesn’t know.

- His numerous mental problems make Asul rather dangerous and most people (pretty rightfully so) think of him as a criminal. However, he’s not exactly evil in a way that he would actively seek out to cause harm and gain pleasure out of it. He’s just… crazy and is just as likely to help someone as he is to harm them.

In all honesty, he’s my joke character who does all the things I don’t dare with other characters and this is my way of explaining his never ending idiocy XD. He's prohibited from using the "save -> do something stupid -> load" -method.

Name: Lethandhrel One-Eye
Race: Dunmer
Age: 207

Background: Born in Balmora, she was 12 when the town was destroyed in Vvardenfell's eruption. As she fled, a chuck of rock slashed past her face, taking her left eye and leaving a prominent scar. She escaped to Cyrodiil, and was recruited into the Dark Brotherhood after accidentally killing an Imperial citizen. 195 years later, almost traces of the Brotherhood have been destroyed in Cyrodiil. Hearing that a sanctuary still survives in the frozen land of Skyrim, she journeys north. After losing her way and being caught up in the Ambush of Darkwater Crossing, she wakes in a cart, hands tied, and no memory of who she was...

Name: Edge Firefist.
Race: Breton.
Class: Warrior/Mage Hybrid
Skills: One handed weapons, Restoration and Conjuration.
Age: 25.

Born to Bron, the Nord blacksmith of Cheydinhal and Ayla an exiled Forsworn, life hasn't exactly been simple for Edge. For one thing having your father name you Edge whilst he was drunk and your mother was sleeping after a long birth is no picnic and children can be very cruel. A moderately gifted smith, Edge dreamed of travelling to Skyrim to learn from Eorlund Gray-Mane, master of the Skyforge, all the while knowing that he would have to take over his fathers business.

Things changed in his twenty third year however when he and his family were returning from the Imperial City, having delivered a custom suit of armour to a prominent nobleman. They didn't expect to be attacked and abducted by Vampires, nor did they expect to be used as Cattle over and over again. If not for a group of wandering adventurers then Edge would still be chained inside an abandoned necromancers hideout being used as an unwitting blood donor for his captors. With his family dead at the hands of Vampires and a neck covered in scar tissue, Edge returned to Cheydinhal to settle his families affairs. After finding a suitable smith for Cheydinhal he was free to leave his old life behind and head to Skyrim to realise his dream of working with Eorlund Gray-Mane.

Unfortunately he stumbled into an Imperial ambush and, well we all know what happened at Helgen. Now he's stuck in Skyrim without his life savings or any of his family mementoes and he's nursing a fresh grudge against the Empire who would so easily have killed him. First he's going to trade in all this crappy Imperial armour and weaponry for some good solid steel he can smith and then he's going to mess up the Empire every way he can. And if he gets the chance to work with Eorlund and join the Companions then he'll take it.

Edge is flippant outside of battle. Deadly serious in battle. He may not be a master mage but he knows his way round the basics of Conjuration and Restoration and is a dab hand with a mace. There are only two things in this world that he hates, Vampires and the Empire and may the Nine have Mercy on them both.

Name: Aurien.
Race: Altmer.
Class: Mage.
Skills: One handed weapons, Destruction.
Age: 70.

Nords are not the only people who despise the Thalmor. There are plenty of Altmer who do too. Aurien is one of them. When the Thalmor seized power after the Oblivion crisis, Aurien's family were in the minority of Altmer society who spoke against them. Unfortunately for them Aurien's families wealth and influence could not protect them from the Thalmor's reach. Driven out of their ancestral home Aurien's family had to go into hiding just to survive. Aurien was born to his parents in the wilderness, and named in honour of Auri-el. Times were tough but he managed to survive and master the magicka that is his races birthright. When the Thalmor led their armies against Cyrodiil during the great war, Aurien and his fellow outcasts waged their own shadow war against the Thalmor on the Summerset isles. Their efforts did not go unnoticed and Aurien and his fellows were forced to flee the Summerset isles and seek refuge where they could.

Aurien sought refuge in the shattered remains of Morrowind where he remained until 4E 201, when word of his mothers illness reached him. It was during his journey across Skyrim that he was caught between the Stormcloaks and the Empire and sent to Helgen. Aurien believes that the Thalmor are a bunch of arrogant racial supremacists who should all be impaled on dull stakes until their organs pop like Jazbay grapes, and now that he's this Dragonborn of legend, well he just may have the tools to help him achieve his goal. Of course first he has to deal with this Alduin, and it probably wouldn't hurt to see if the College of Winterhold has any interesting spells he can use.

Update: Unfortunately Aurien will not live to fulfil his goals of destroying the Thalmor. Whilst he destroyed the World Eater, seized control of the court of Clan Volkihar, became Harbinger of the Companions, Archmage of the College of Winterhold and Guild Master of the Thieves guild, he did not manage to survive being launched into the air by a giant and crashing a hundred feet to land on his head. His lifeless remains were recovered by Clan Volkihar who used them to empower the Bloodstone Chalice and fell back to their default position of political intrigue and internal squabbling.

Name: Leshiggy (I know, kind of dumb)
Race: Bosmer
Class: Thief
Skills: Pickpocket, Speech, Archery, Sneak, Alchemy, Light Armor
Age: 23

Don't have an extensive back story, but basically I'm going to RP Leshiggy like this:

At a young age he joined the Thieves guild. He became an expert of speechcraft and pickpocketing while in the guild. As he grew a bit older, things got a little bit more dangerous. His reputation starting following him, and hired thugs were sent out to get him. Though he was proficient with a bow and the art of sneaking, he enlisted in the Dark Brotherhood to gain some additional killing experience to help protect himself (this is pretty much where I am at for the moment).

I plan on him growing up from that and becoming a noble warrior (eventually moving to one hand and block), then Leshiggy will study 2h battle tactics merely to know his enemies better. After that, he'll start mastering the arcane arts.
