Up high where enchanter's go - North by the College of Winterhold.

I'm special in my land, - Nords aren't fond of magic
A little coin, a crystal cell, - IDK about the coin, but ice and snow are referred to as being crystals
We'll trade between our hand. - You do a quest for him where he gives you something to access the Elder Scroll in trade for whatever he wanted, I forget

It's not the puzzle cube.

Clue 3: The 'up high' and 'down low' refer to levels, and the 'wood' refers to another simple object.

The alembic is in the Hall of Countenance, either on top of a barrel or lying on a crate or in the enchanter's room.

sky haven temple puzzle gate
it is akaviri so it is a stranger
If you get the puzzle wrong you'll get beaten and burnt
Also it has a door to open at the end of the road
