I was focusing on that clue too. I feel like you're avoiding saying the word 'goodbye' and hence wrote it in French -thus hinting at maybe a quest with the word goodbye in it or something.

My first thought was one of the potential victims in With Friends Like These, but the "Mare" line doesn't make sense in that context.

The second line makes me think of something that originates in The Bannered Mare. So, I was toying with Saadia or Mephala, but they don't seem to fit with the other lines.

Mare is also another name for a female horse, n if Im not mistaken, only Shadowmere is confirmed female<_<

I don't think this is likely to be right, but I'm going to guess with: Vaermina?
