The first six lines remind me of the Notched Pickaxe, but I can't make it fit the final 6 lines.

Clue: The second last line is probably the biggest hint regarding a prominent item (but not the item in question) in the location.
Lines 7 and 8 offer the biggest clue to the item in question.

It's the Philter of the Phantom

But I cannot help my father,
As effective as I've been, The potion did exactly what Wyndelius wanted and made Wilhelm and the other residents believe he was a ghost and stay away from the barrow, unfortunately and rather ironically, Wilhelm is the one who holds the dragon claw that Wyndelius is looking for

By him was found nor seen. Refers to the sapphire dragon claw, cerulean means blue, walker of winged beast is a dragon's claw. Wyndelius never finds the claw.

Yay! I'm usually terrible at riddles, I'm surprised I got it!

And on that note, please excuse my clunky riddling skills, it's been a while since I've done poetry..

New Riddle:

This sentence is a two-for-one. The sentence itself is a clue obviously and the two highlighted words are an additional clue..

Hint: It is a quest, but I will also accept the name of the place(for reasons). I guess it's somewhat obscure, though most people would find out about it through means other than just stumbling upon it. Now, whether people actually go there remains to be seen..

Unfortunately it's not Ansilvund, but that's an excellent guess though! I can see how the story of Fjori and Holgeir fits some of the lines, however not all of them That said, you are definitely in the right region of Skyrim..

This is turning out to be harder than I thought! Hmm.. I'll have to think up some more clues..

the second line sounds like the Ebony Blade, but the others don't. As for the homophone, the only one I can think of is need (with the word 'knead') but i'm guessing that the answer is not a loaf of bread.

Sadly it is not the Ebony blade, and it is not either kneading nor bread. (well it might involve bread in some super obscure way that I don't even know about... but probably not)

Yay! I make a lot of vampire characters who use The Mace so I've done that quest quite a bit.
Okay new riddle:

I am a house of worship, but for who,
Falmer, Dwemer, or you?
No shrine, no alter, just a luminescent sky
of mushrooms glowing far up high.

(I took some liberties to make it rhyme so I have no problems with guesses that disregard one or two lines )
