I think you need to throw us another bone... tis tricky this one!

Hmm... Over a month since you gave it with no answer, maybe a hint would be good at this point..?

Hint:

The answer is two words; the first part of the riddle is for the first word and the second part is for the second word. (The "What am I?" is meaningless.)
Again, it has absolutely nothing to with the Civil War or any faction.

I think we all give up! Either we need a massive clue, or just put us out of our misery with the oh-so-elusive answer.

Is it a place? I was thinking 'never mourned' might be the word 'forgotten' or 'unloved' but maybe i'm being too literal?

Yeah I agree. I really can't think of anything at all.

Here's a big hint for you:

1st word: "Never mourned" = Never dies, so is ________
2nd word: Certain people are said to have blue _____, however in reality their ______ is red just like everyone else's.
